  1. Transfer Window 2039 Two outgoing players. Made a combined total of 5 appearances last season, both are dropping down the leagues. Catch you after, boys. I though we needed a fairly major overhaul. so I've signed plenty of players. Starting with the only one I've spent money on, Bajram Laci joins from my old club Gjilani. I tried to sign a few guys from Gjilani, but the club either said f**k off to my offers, or the players asked for 2 grand a week - my top paid player (Laci, as it happens) is on 600 a week. Anyway, he's a centre half who can lay football a bit, which I always find useful, and he can also cover in centre mdifield. Now for the free transfers. Runar Alex Eyjolfsson is a midfielder, and is a decent enough passer but nothing special. He's here to provide depth to my squad, and will mostly be sitting in the stands or on the bench. Hordur Bjorgvin Jafetsson is my new number 1. He's good enough for the time being. My plan is that, upon promotion, I'll bring in someone else and he'll be relegated to the bench, but yeah, he should do for now. Adam Ingi Magnusson is a right back, who can cover at centre half and, in an emergency, left back. He's good defensively, but doesn't really offer much going forward. That said, at this level it does tend to be one or the other, so here we are. He's fast though, which could be useful. Halldor Kristjan Viktorsson is a centre half, and like Eyjolfsson, he'll hardly play if all goes to plan. He's solid enough though, so good to have him. Ingvar Ragnarsson is my second choice attacking midfielder. Has good technique, but he's just very average at everything. Still, I had absolutely no options in attacking midfield before, and he provides that, so good stuff. Kristofer Karl Ottesen becomes one of my first choice centre midfielders. He's young, has a good work rate, good decision making and just generally looks pretty decent. Pleased with this. Ivan Oli Asmundsson is my other starting centre midfielder, and he's here to play the "win the ball and give it to someone else" role. He looks like he should be able to do that pretty effectively. Marteinn Petur Hjaltsson is my starting attacking midfielder, or he's planned to be at least. Pretty good technically, and if he "tries killer balls often" then at least he should be exciting, even if he doesn't achieve much. I'm sure he'll be fine though. Lastly, I know I said I didn't need a striker, but I liked the look of Andri Karlsson so here we are. He looks to have all the right stats to be a fairly decent goalscorer, but his actual record throughout his career is dreadful (19 in 122 games). Maybe he'll just click here though, and we'll have a good striker on our hands. If not, I still have other players who are capable.
  2. League Cup 2039 As always, the Icelandic season starts with the League Cup. As a second tier side, we're always unlikely to achieve much in this competition, but good to see how we're looking before the important stuff starts. None of my new players joined in time for the first two games, but overall I'm pretty pleased with this. 6 points against clubs in the same league as me, and a draw and two fairly narrow losses against the top tier sides. Decent enough I'd say, and I'm not arsed about going out because the only thing I care about this season is promotion. Aye, best of the lower ranked sides, and comfortably ahead of a top flight side in KA as well, so that's nice. Still over a month until the league season starts, but the team seems to be shaping up nicely.
  3. I think the only fair solution is to call the season now, and promote whichever team happens to be in 5th. Can’t see there being too many arguments against that.
  4. Meet the Team 4 stars is a leading player for the division, 3 is "operating at 1. delid level" That's good, two good strikers and some others who are fairly average in reserve. Probably won't look to improve this too much, will focus elsewhere. The wingers are both good, I'm pleased with that. I need a new attacking midfielder though. That's my main priority at the minute. Centre midfield is pretty weak, so I'll be looking to bring in new players for this. If all goes to plan, none of these players will be getting a regular game in centre midfield when the season starts. I probably need a starting centre half, and some cover, but overall my defence is decent enough. Second top priority is a new goalkeeper. This is pish.
  5. Before heading to Kosovo, I held out for ages waiting on a top flight job coming up in Iceland but it didn't happen. This time I was hoping for the same, and again it didn't happen, so for the first time in the save, I'll be managing outwith a country's highest division. Leiknir are a Reykjavik based side, and while a number of the Reykjavik teams have won the title plenty of times, we've spent our history dicking about in the lower leagues. In any case, the Icelandic season has just finished, and they came 7th, despite being predicted to win the league. Anyway, it's now November 2038, and our first game won't be until February, if we're in the League Cup.
  6. FM hits out with some absolute fucking nonsense sometimes. I've said no, basically because I think clubs get upset if you manage a country as well, so want to avoid that.
  7. April 2038 Back to winning ways, although two very different games. We went 1-0 down against Balkani, but we were 4-1 up by half time. Second half was pretty unconvincing, but held on in the end. Against Besa, we were 2-0 down, brought it back to 2-2, conceded again before scrambling to a winner via an own goal with 5 minutes left. They then had a last minute equaliser disallowed. Still, got the two wins, that's all that matters at this stage. Two games left. We're playing Ulpiana and Drenica. We should be winning those both, very comfortably and taking the title.
  8. March 2038 Not really what I was looking for. We threw it away against Llapi, two goals within a minute had us firmly in control but we shat. However, that point against Trepca was among the most undeserved points I've gained throughout the save. Comprehensively outplayed, scored in the last minute. Delightful. We should be out of sight already, but it's looking like it's between us and Feronikeli - who've come from nowhere. I'd make us favourites, as we have the head-to-head advantage, and a slightly easier run in, on paper. We'll see though.
  9. February 2038 Aside from the huge win against Prishtina, we scraped a draw against Vushtrria. We performed really poorly in that game, but didn't lose so that's something. Prishtina game was fucking great though, still buzzing to be honest. We're 4 clear, but head to head makes it essentially 5 on both Prishtina (who lost both their games this month) . We have Llapi and Trepca coming up next.
  10. Partick Thistle statement on historic abuse report in Scottish football | Partick Thistle FC (ptfc.co.uk) We've put out a statement. It does contain an apology, although I don't think it's as strong as it should be.
  11. January 2038 Couple of signings in the January window, hopefully add some strength to see us to the title. First up, Indonesian international striker Achmad Sukarta. He's a bit on the slow side, but he's comfortably the best finisher I have, and his first touch and dribbling are pretty good. He's also strong, so that's helpful too. Next, Arnold Markaj who I've signed from Llapi. Centre midfielder, looks pretty good all round to be honest, so very pleased with him. He's won the title a couple of times before, so that should be helpful. Erwan Peltier joins to play centre half, and finally means I should have a defensive partnership good enough for the league I'm in. He's good defensively, but bad at playing football. That should be fine though. A good month, although we (as expected) got punted out the cup. Still, 9 points in the league, and a great start to his Gjilan career for Sukarta. 6 goals already isn't bad. Still top of the table, still neck and neck with Prishtina. We play them next, that's a huge game.
  12. December 2037 Pretty decent month, albeit we're almost definitely going out of the cup fairly early. The draw with Balkani was really disappointing, and Dejan Oblak got injured for 8 weeks in the Prishtina match. His last injury coincided with our dodgy run of form, so that's a worry, but we'll see how we get on. Draw with Trepca is ok though, and unbeaten in the league is something. Despite dropping points, a 95th minute winner for Feronikeli against Prishtina puts us back to the top. The table is very tight at the top, so won't take anything for granted. It's still nice to be top at this stage, hopefully we can stay here.
  13. November 2037 Had a tough period in the middle of the month, but we seem to have come through it now, so ideal. We also managed to get through in the cup despite losing the first leg, and we held on against Prishtina. Couple of poor results sees us drop of top, but we're very much still in the title race. Trepca face us and Prishtina next month, so should be some dropped points there.
  14. They sound like a bunch of absolute fucking c***s going out of their way to exploit temp staff as much as possible. f**k them. They were absolutely definitely hoping that no one would say anything and they’d get out of paying anyone for the work done. If staff haven’t got a clue what’s going on, thats the fault of management for not communicating properly, not the fault of staff for not ‘being man enough.’ The fact they’ve used that phrase at all suggests that you’re far better off out of there. Best of luck going forward anyway.
  15. Assuming we use the normal Scottish football definition of “ambition” meaning ‘some c**t gives them a load of money’ then literally any of the Highland teams could challenge for the league. Anyway, on topic, colts can f**k right off. A dreadful idea pursued exclusively by arseholes. As with quite a few others, I think I’d stop bothering with Scottish football if it happens, even though my club are unlikely to share a league with them.
  16. He voted not to publish Salmond’s evidence, on the basis that it couldn’t be published in an accessible manner without risking the committee committing contempt of court, so that’s presumably what Galloway’s on about.
  17. I would think if it’s null and void, then it should be equal share. Don’t see how you could argue that 10 games is enough for league places to decide prize money, but not enough to decide anything else. On the other hand, I’d probably support giving us no prize money and divvying it up amongst the other teams just to see the absolute mess of a statement we’d hit out with.
  18. An absolute fucking nonsense. Still, it means that at least something has happened in an otherwise appalling game.
  19. October 2037 We should have beaten Trepca. They had most of the ball and plenty of shots, but they never really created a chance you'd expect to score, whereas we missed an absolute sitter with about a minute left. A draw isn't the worst result, but it should have been a win. Rest of the month was good, Besa have been a good side this season so good to get a win there, and then a fairly straightforward win against newly promoted Ulpiana. Almost a third of the way through the season - we've only got bottom side Drenica to play from our first third, so I'm really happy with how we're doing. Problem is Prishtina are matching us every step of the way.
  20. September 2037 Perfect month, can't ask for more than that. Got a helping hand against Llapi as they went down to 10 men at 2-1 them, which really handed us the game, but everything else was fairly straightforward. Dejan Oblak continues his ridiculous form - he's now at 7 goals and 5 assists in 6 games. Top of the table, but again at this stage we just need to focus on picking up as many points as we can. Next up is Trepca, and if we can win that I'll be very optimistic about how the season will go.
