  1. I appreciate Faz obviously believes we can take points from each of the next 3 but realistically the big one was the match yesterday! We didn't have enough urgency at all. Wright takes too long on things and the fact that everyone in the stand could see him struggling with the kickouts bu5 the defenders were leaving him to it and just telling him to take his time was disappointing. Was an absolute hammer blow losing the goal we did, in the manner we did too. Very disappointed with that. That being said, performances have been better on the last few weeks and I feel now if we can keep that level of performance then, even if we don't pick up enough points to avoid 9th place, we will have a fighting chance in the play offs. That really wasn't the case a few weeks back. We need to keep performances up and if we could play for 90 mins like we did in the first half yesterday, I have plenty confidence we could stay up (via the play offs or avoiding them). But inconsistency has really been something that has held us back throughout this season.
  2. To be fair, he said recently that we had given away 30 something goals through individual errors. Can you imagine where we would be in the league if we had even halved that? I don't think he signed anywhere near good enough players and too many past it, duds and simply not good enoughs... but maybe he did believe we would be better off.
  3. Yeah, these are pretty basic business skills really. If small businesses can do it then the club should be too. Amateur and just lacks professionalism really.
  4. Ah, come on Peter. I know you are a ref and try to defend them at times but he was poor yesterday. Very inconsistent, stopping the game needlessly at times for soft fouls and then letting it go at others for stronger and more clear infringements. Some throw ins and free kicks he seemed adamant about where they should be taken and stopping yards being stolen but then other times didn't bother at all. One of the main things I expect in a ref is consistency. Finally, in my opinion, he got the 2 big calls you mention wrong too. I thought the pen was a foul but was outside the box and the red seemed harsh to me as I don't think there was any intent and it was accidental. I may change my mind after seeing them again but that's my opinion in real time. Fortunately his decisions didn't change the result and nothing he done or didn't do would have made a difference to us not drawing 0-0 yesterday. Apart from maybe sending off Dillon (perhaps) but even then I don't really see where we would have scored.
  5. Yeah pretty dreadful. Fortunately didn't really change the result but he was all over the place... Gave the penalty but I was sure the foul was committed outside the box. Need to wait and see the highlights though! But obviously it was saved anyway.
  6. We would have had a much better chance of getting the winning goal if Wright hadn't taken an eternity with every goal kick he could... infuriating!
  7. There wasn't anything in that today. Montrose were there for the taking. I'd say that's the first time in years I have seen us play Montrose and they didn't impress me in any particular area. The ref was very poor but, fortunately, didn't change the result of the match. The two teams could still be playing on Monday and it would be 0-0. Wright is embarrassing and you have to question who is making the call yo waste time when a draw simply isn’t good enough. It's not even like Falkirk were beating or drawing with Peterhead at half time and we felt we just had to not lose. We knew they were winning and should have been doing absolutely everything to hurry that match along. I also called that the ref was desperate to show a red with 20 mins left and was proven correct. He is absolutely hopeless. Sean Dillon is pretty embarrassing as well. Our forwards weren't perfect (mainly Oyinsan this week and not MacLean) themselves but Dillon certainly put on a wee show today with his theatrics, sound effects and throwing himself into things. Same old story though... not good enough.
  8. So the option is to keep Faz and have a real big chance of losing every game that's left. Or take a chance on getting the "new manager bounce" or even a lift from the manager going since the players don't seem to be playing for him anyway.
  9. The principle isn't the same though. You've stated it yourself in your post here... we are in a desperate position. That's why the situations are completely different. In our struggling position it makes sense because we really need a change in form (desperately!). Edinburgh City, as you have already stated, have achieved pretty much all they realistically could. If Dumbarton were sitting even 2 places higher in this league then I don't think there would be many asking for the manager to be sacked. But we are not up to standard and to not be competing for the mid-table positions simply isn't good enough. Change is required, urgently.
  10. I've not said anything on this but you're definitely just getting tied up in fighting your case too much. Not once did you suggest that it wasn't a good idea to sack Faz because it would upset the camp or the team. Your main reason was that we wouldn't be able to find a replacement. Now we have an example of how that can be done without too much issue and you appear to be straw clutching a little bit to maintain your point of view. FWIW, I'm not totally sure if Edinburgh City have more financially than we do so maybe they could afford to pay off Naismith better than we could Farrell.
  11. Ah, don't worry... we'll have mystery injuries to both goalkeepers and end up with Oyinsan in goals on account of him being the tallest or something. God, he might even start there and we can have both 'keeper's on the bench (maybe not the worst idea... ). Faz loves playing a man out of position so wonder who will be where in the starting 11 roulette tomorrow.
  12. I believe he had been for a few weeks now... Easy away win. Hopefully we still waste loads of time and cheat our way to a defeat just to see and hear the seethe from the away fans
  13. A shocker. The same lino was so useless that he ended up not making decisions until he'd received direction from the ref. As bad as the officials were I don't think they were biased in any particular direction. Griffiths should have been booked in the first half when he kicked the ball away, but he just had a word. Then just about got it right booking him in the 2nd half for the same thing. Then the aforementioned when one of your guys wiped out MacLean. It was as clear a booking as you will see and he spoke to the completely wrong player and gave no card. Hopeless, but didn't make a difference to the result or even the score.
  14. Yeah, there was absolutely no need to play with 7 defenders from the beginning. It doesn't matter how many defenders you have in the team when players are making the individual errors we are making each week! As the ball was holding up in the air you just knew what was going to happen. So predictable. Why we brought Lynch back in rather than just play with Carlo at RB (his best position in my opinion) and start with either Wilson or McKee. In the first half we had plenty of dead balls to deliver into the box and 90% of the crosses were absolutely honking. When we had our most successful period earlier this season, lots of assists were coming from CW and JM! As much as Wright looked an improvement on Ramsbottom when he first signed, I don't think the improvement is all too significant. His distribution is awful and every week I find myself questioning if he could have stopped something or done slightly better. Not one of our players today looked like they believed we could achieve anything. We have no chance of staying up unless a big change is made, and even then it's a huge ask!
  15. I wish we had enough fight about us to have a couple of hard men... we're a bunch of unmotivated, past it's with a couple of try hard but not good enoughs. Recipe for disaster.
  16. Yeah, Falkirk fans should have learned from the last 2 matches that even when you are at your absolute worst there is little to no chance of not winning against this sons side.
  17. I mean... at least it is only 1 - 0 and we have 11 men on the park. In all seriousness though, this just sums up how bad a place we are in. I don't think we have a squad FULL of bad players but we play nothing like a team and the management have no idea what they are doing, clearly
  18. East Fife stream is always shite for the money. Every time I have watched it the quality is awful one way or another. Fortunately I'm not tuning in today. 3rd minute again... FFS!
  19. What's the deal with players just missing out without any word of it. Last week no mention but then Boyle not in the squad and this week Buchanan.
  20. Yeah, McGeever with 2 crutches would be more use in this game than Boyle. He'd also be worth a goal considering the opponents. Even less confident now.
  21. The match preview doesn't fill me with confidence at all. Oyinsan still out is a big one really. Is he ever going to get back to fitness? I remember when it was initially mentioned that McGeever would be out for weeks and now look where we are months later... No confidence whatsoever for this one.
  22. you were the guy who was completely losing the plot next to the stream camera weren't you? Hilarious stuff.
  23. Why do we always just gift Queens Park easy wins? This is a 0-0 game all over except we've gifted a 2 goal lead away with schoolboy defending.
