  1. That was most entertaining actually. Cove are a team I want to like but with Hartley at the helm and all the greetin' that goes on it is hard not to dislike them. Seems Hartley has either put his stamp on them or he is just a particularly good match for them. The sense of entitlement and, when things aren't going your way, the moaning and everything... I just can't be bothered with that stuff.
  2. Yeah, I was about to make that point. Would be fine if our main play was to the big striker. I also have the fear the Sam Ramsbottom could be the player to score the most (own)goals in this match.
  3. Hoping Clyde don't get the same Nick McAllister we had otherwise that's a handy piece of business by them...
  4. With Geggan and Maley leaving at this stage will we be looking to bring anyone in? I appreciate Maley would have been on little to nothing wage wise and getting Andy off the books may just be to help balance things. But it seems strange that we didn't do it earlier in the month, particularly with Maley who was only on Amateur terms. Geggan may have wanted to find another club before agreeing to moving on.
  5. Yeah, I actually agree that we don't particularly have a need for him at this time and don't debate him leaving.
  6. I mean, it's fair enough if we are bringing someone else in. But I also don't imagine he'll be amongst our highest earners given his situation prior. I know he was at Partick the 2nd half of last season but I don't think he was in demand as such and was able to strike a money spinning deal.
  7. It is funny how a couple of your fans argument for the thing was basically "never seen it but Kerr would never cheat like that".
  8. We would have had a very good chance based on the performance Dundee put on. I think it is also worth noting that McKee may not have been as exposed had we another body on the park. We'll never know and it's a huge shame we won't get another go at it, given how well we played with 1 man less.
  9. I genuinely didn't think there was much in it at all. I thought he shrugged him off rather than to "swing" an elbow. There was much less in it than the tussle not long before between Josh and the Dundee defender, yet they both escaped without even bookings.
  10. Aye that is shocking. I already said that they can stay away if they can't reign it in a little but there's no coming back from that kind of thing. Don't these wee idiots realise they are giving the club a terrible rep. In fact... they probably don't care as they aren't actually Dumbarton fans.
  11. Appears he may have overreacted to me. Posted on the match thread but here it is. Project_01-22_HD 720p_MEDIUM_FR30.mp4
  12. Completely agree. He has made movement towards Kerr but that's as far as I could see (as above). Ref was desperate to give the red card though, which is bizarre considering some of the challenges that went without even a yellow.
  13. Looks a bit harsh to me that... Especially given some of the other things that went in during the game and no cards were shown at all. Project_01-22_HD 720p_MEDIUM_FR30.mp4
  14. Don't think anyone, who is giving an honest opinion, could argue that. With 11 men we would have had a decent chance today. For long spells we were the better side and Dundee look doomed unless the improve, tenfold.
  15. Worse than every team I've seen in our league this season, with the exception of East Fife (no disrespect).
  16. On our actual performance; Sam Ramsbottom can't grt in the bin quick enough for me. Dire. Duties was our best player today and never stopped running! Not yet convinced on big Josh but hard to judge in a league game and whatever that was today. Carlo was a stand out again and both Carswell and Paton looked more like the pairing they should be. How much of that is down to how shite Dundee were... I'm not sure. Surprised we didn't make more subs when we were dead on our feet though! Sam Muir wasn't great, particularly in the 2nd half. I'd have stuck Orsi on beside Josh for the last 10 mins as we were losing anyway. ETA: I'm keen for the young boys to return and make some noise but there was too much shout of paedophile and such and if they are bringing in flares/smoke bombs etc then they can stay away. Just like the yobs who made our play off relegation even worse with their behaviour.
  17. Yeah the ref only got worse. Albeit the 2 main decision were probably correct (need to see both again). Charlie Adam should have 3 bookings instead of 1 and there were a few others he missed for sure. Seemed to give most of the decisions to the "big" team. We worked ourselves into the ground and if we do the same every week from now we'll have a decent chance of staying up. But we still lack quality in the forward areas! Not convinced by Josh yet but he seems keen to impress so keep working and I hope he'll see the rewards. Dundee... the less said the better. They look in a worse state than us, figuratively speaking. Big changes needed or you will be competing in the championship next year. Didn't even look like a team from 1 league about us, never mind 2!
  18. Most least offensive? He also rolled about like he'd been shot to then jump up and make a miraculous recovery... I'm not debating his actions either. He has shown this kind of thing before.
  19. Maclean is an absolute liability but the ref has been dying to do that. Poor refereeing the whole first half. We would have had half a chance without the sending off as well.
  20. In a recent interview, Faz said something about speaking to Syvertsen's agent and said he probably won't play again for us. Said "it just hasn't worked out for the lad." So we are obviously trying to pay him off or whatever. With his record we should probably have given him a pay as you play deal...
