What is obvious is that it's not a reasonable situation and something will have to change.
You say something often enough snd even I will crack.
The Junior Cup has had too much respect this year in particular the two legged semi but it's not the only factor. There will always be an imparity in league games played at the latter stages of any season. Chelsea are seeing that in the EPL. The argument should not be about cup competitions it should be about scheduling league matches midweek at times when the weather is good. Especially that the league is in the west of Scotland, an area hardly known for it's balmy climate.
The season extension is a necessary evil but the other clubs shouldn't allow Darvel to have matches after everyone is finished. The last day fixtures must be changed en masse. Kennie will do that, you'll see.

How can a team still involved in the title race be allowed to play two fixtures after the rest of the league is completed on the 11th of May and potentially knowing exactly what they require from the games, never mind it also could still impact the relegation outcomes depending on what Glenafton would still require to be safe.
As already put to the FS if this is the only option due to lack of suitable dates to fit these games in before the 11th then the only fair option would be to push the last games for every team back in line with Darvels.

Disagree. Although the two legged semi has had an impact and needs binned, it's the lack of midweek games earlier in the season that causes this. Having said that, Darvel's poor playing surface caused call offs and I also think the clubs prefer not to have midweek games as Saturday revenue is always more attractive. Reckon @Kennie needs to be stronger next season by pointing to this carry on and just get the games in.
However having said all that one still feels making glib remarks about Clydebank should always be the go to posting method.

Cages are not and were never intended for a paying public to utilise. If you look at them all, there is only one side for spectators and that was the intention. Note: I am solely talking about the cages, not synthetic pitches which have their part to play in modern football.
As a slight caveat, if folk are honest there are ground across non-league that we visit that are falling down around us. Are they fit for purpose or do we just ignore the problems because of some nostalgic influence.
On top of that some of the grass pitches are also not fit for the league.
I know there is no easy fix for these clubs, but moving forward the situation is only going to get worse.
Do clubs need a safety certificate from the council or is that only for licensed clubs?
n.b. not naming any clubs whose grounds and pitches I'm talking about, it's more of a general observation.
Fair enough but what's the solution? If these grounds, in particular the older ones, are deemed unfit for purpose and the clubs don't have the means to upgrade, do they go to the wall or approach another club for a ground share? It would be great to think that there could be some funding available from government either local or national but that's about as likely to happen as @PossilYM moving to Ayrshire.

Don't know if I'm reading it wrongly but the website only has four league games fixtured for Darvel and six for Talbot. Where are the others going to go?
