  1. Ours is a smaller school (one form entry). Students hand their phone in to the HT at the start of the day and she gives them out at exit. Everyone complies with it, I suspect because we imposed it at the start of a school year. In your case where it's a rule change, I imagine there will be some pain at the start but that's the same whatever new rule is imposed.

In my previous school they did what you're trying to do except said parents had to come in before the phone was handed back. The first Friday that it happened and students realised that they would have to leave their phone in school, was utter carnage. There were actual tears from 18 yr old boys and girls and some even tried to barge teachers out of the way to get to their phone. Teachers then started arguing with each other about the fairness of the whole thing. Eventually the LT stepped in and gave them all back. A complete sh**show. Good luck.

Another big one is ipads and smart watches with messages coming through them. It's such a grey area.

Only a difference of opinion surely there’s no need for insults I’d rather take it a game at a time a lot can happen yet and the same people on here giving us the title just now will be the same ones on slagging us off if we don’t win it, I much prefer staying quiet until it’s over I know that’s maybe not your way and if you were in our position you’d be proclaiming Auchinleck league winners having blown a league in recent years I thought you’d appreciate the caution.

Insults? You do know this is a football forum, don't you? If you really wanted to stay quiet you would, instead of getting all upset that supporters of other teams are saying you're the best team. Its very strange behaviour.

Bums on seats or you don't deserve an opinion  ...........

According to who? Stop thinking about my bum.

When I'm there, I'm at the game and even if I wasn't, I am still saying Beith will win the league. Not sure why Beith fans are so annoyed about that.

Off the 5 teams we’ve still to play we have only beaten 2 of them, concentrate on your own team and stop trying to deflect everything on to Beith , I’d say if Auchinleck win all their games then the league is there’s 63 points more than wins it this season

What is this deflection nonsense? Everyone, me included is saying that Beith will win the league. That's based on the fact that you're well in front. Just take the compliments Beith fans ya bunch of rockets!

Probably best not to even waste your breathe on him to be honest,  thinks he rules this place and doesn't even attend his own teams games 😆

I shall await his usual insults though ....

How can he waste his breath (not breathe) on me. Surely typing energy or something.

It's a shame for you Hertha...and you being always so nice to me as well.

Think you should check your facts before you post something like that.  How are we in form? We have only won 3 of our last 6 games.  3 of the 5 games we have left to play are against teams we have already failed to beat this season.   We have a good chance to win the league IF (and it’s a big IF) we win our 5 remaining games.  But as usual we will take each game as it comes and give our opponents the respect they deserve and every game is a cup final for us if we want to retain the league.

Burgh so lacklustre in my opinion. Arthurlie better all over the park. Small brought on by Burgh with 10/15 to go to get an equaliser & put out wide ? An out & out goalscorer out wide didn’t make sense to me. Thought Burghs goal was offside but in the end didn’t matter. Great atmosphere & crowd. Bolger , Kerr , Dykes & Docherty stand outs for Arthurlie. Would love to see them win it but can’t see past Darvel.

Sounds like McKinnon coming in has had the desired effect.

Highest weekly score so far is dagane – 37  (Week 14)

At least we managed to get the full card of six matches in this week, not that it helped many of us! Only two scores of note really as @Johnstonian bagged a respectable 21 points for the second week in succession. The cup obviously brings out the best in you pal. Close behind was @Shannerwith 18 points. Elsewhere it's getting tight at the top as only eight points separate first and second. Sweating much guys? Check your scores please.

On to our cup competition. Results were;-

    Group 1

    happy 10 v 21 Johnstonian

    Group 2

    Shannon 8 v 12 Broomhill Ultra

Johnstonian did what their team couldn't by reaching the final whereas @happy followed their team by falling at the semi final. @Broomhill Ultra is about to be rewarded for his original idea while Irvine Meadow fan @Shannon sees their hopes of salvaging something from a miserable season dashed. The last two are;-

    Grand Final

    Johnstonian v Broomhill Ultra

Winner gets 40 notes and a score for the gallant loser. The best of luck to you guys.

Fixtures for Saturday 27th April are;-

    Arthurlie v Auchinleck Talbot

    Gartcairn v Hurlford United

    Maybole Juniors v St. Roch's

    Larkhall Thistle v Cumbernauld United

West Park United v Lanark United

    BSC Glasgow v Giffnock

You all must know the teams very well by now so expecting big scores! Good luck everyone!

I knew before I had a look on here tonight there would be posts acclaiming Beith as champions, and let’s be honest it’s only said to create pressure on a club/team to get them to maybe believe the hype, unfortunately that won’t happen the league is far from over ,Beith are well aware they’ll need to fight for every point , a very good St Cadocs team to play at home on Wednesday not a gimme by any stretch of the imagination and only when teams start to complete their fixtures we can see what the winning points total will be 60 may win it but who knows

I know. Imagine anyone suggesting that Beith who went top of the league today and have mostly home games left to play should win the league. How disrespectful you all are to suggest that teams who have lost to top of the league Beith already this season might lose again to in form Beith!

@jimbaxters can you feed this back to Italy please.

Guglielmo Orso it is not! Mortadella is processed fatty pork with a wee bit of spice, rolled into a big sausage shape and sliced thinly. Nothing like Billy Bear.

    Peasants!

Crammed in behind the goals, need to get to the railings or you wont see, they should have gave that full sideline to Talbot and could still have entered and exited at the cemetery end, theres no way Darvel will fill their section.

It's all part of the John Gall/Darvel get-it-right-up-the-Talbot mindset.

In which case one says GIRU them Talbot! Quick first goals puts us back in it.

    Mon the Talbot!

Abbey Vale are 4th this season with no chance of promotion. A completely competent team at their existing level - not one that has reached a 'bottleneck' from progressing at all.

They've haven't lost out on shipping 200 goals in a single Lowland League season, just because a handful of pyramid anoraks insist that All Champions Must Be Promoted.

Anoraks are nothing to do with it. It's basic, sporting common sense that dictates that any team finishing top of their league and that league is part of a pyramid should expect to gain promotion to the next rung of that pyramid. Not sure what isn't making sense in that.
