  1. I only "brought it up" to find out if it was present last night. If it wasn't I would have attended, if it was I wasn't going to. Unfortunately it took me a 16-mile round trip to discover that it was.
  2. Part time playing full time is a tough ask midweek. However, with improved performances and home advantage who knows? Arbroath have already dropped a point at the Rock - again we could get something.
  3. Unbeaten in 4 games for the first time since December 2017.
  4. But they have kept on the subject too long and they are now both talking pish......
  5. Jim Duffy and Billy Dodds speaking eminent sense about sectarianism on Radio Scotland.
  6. Aberfeldy on the subs bench.... now there's perhaps an omen; when we gubbed East Fife 4-0 I was actually in Aberfeldy and celebrated by drinking, er, Aberfeldy. Aberfeldy is a great distillery tour. Let's just leave it there.
  7. Highland Park isn’t a heavily peated whisky. In fact it’s a good all rounder. If a bar were to stock 5 malts, I’d recommend something like Glenmorangie, Highland Park, Balvenie, Jura and Laphroaig (for TCP aficionados)
  8. Definitely at the last two games which I only saw on Sons TV with the volume turned down. Probably doesn't bother you so you don't notice it. Anyhoo, doesn’t matter. Won’t be able to go as it turns out.
  9. Serious question. Does anyone know if the drum will be in attendance on a school night v Raith Rovers?
  10. BTW for anyone who's interested, Ross McCrorie appeared nine times for Dumbarton in 2016-17. Quite why this warrants a full page article, two years later is a mystery. It's almost like yon running joke, about Gordon Ramsay telling porkies, on Off the Ball.
  11. Any advance on how many mugs you can get in one picture ? He looks as if he's pictured at a fitba' ground. Any guesses?
  12. Achin’ in this morning’s Sun. Gizza job.....
  13. John Steele has told me personally that he doesn't read and is not aware of the comments on any DFC internet forum. The statement is fair enough but I can't help feeling that it reads like a gypsy's warning.
  14. Yeah he was blonde and long haired and tbh a bit crazy but I’m sure he’s the guy you were enquiring about. The photo was on the Facebook Boagheid group.
  15. I wonder if you might be thinking of David Floyd “Floydy”. He used to often start the singing off in the period you mention. If so, his problem wasn’t drink but rather a central nervous system condition (perhaps MND). Several of the family had the same condition. He ended up in a wheelchair but still followed his beloved Sons.
  16. Had we won the game we'd have been in Europe.
  17. Another Sons fan who can be filed under the loonball category. We must have the highest proportion of nutcases vs normal people of any club in Scotland. Someone who would appear to have a very tenuous grasp of the realities of running a fitba' club. He would also seem to have a troubled relationship with grammar and spelling.
  18. I was meaning the club's own internal investigation, as opposed to criminal proceedings. Why would the club have an internal investigation into a police matter? Away and don't be daft.
