  1. Just looking at the Sun this morning ( I sell it, I don’t buy it) and it has a quote from Rico Quitongo saying he didn’t think it was a penalty.
  2. On the planning permission thing, there has been outline planning permission for housing, for some years on the car park. Last year Brabco didn’t (forgot to) re-apply to renew permission which they are required to do. That then meant they had to make a new application. The granting of this is important because Neil Rankine holds security in law on that land as guarantee against what Brabco owes him. Had the application not been granted, the land, and Rankine’s security, would have become worthless and Rankine would almost certainly have taken action to retrieve his money.
  3. Yes, around the time they won I think, three league cups.
  4. Attendances in Scotland late 1940s/1950s. Source: The Roar of the Crowd 2005 by David Ross. The non-appearance of Sons stats for 1954/55 was possibly relegation to C Division but I'm not sure.
  5. It's not him Lionel, the spelling and grammar are too good. I suspect I know who it is though. Edit: I just read it again and there are enough errors for it to be his nibs.
  6. We beat Stranraer 3-1 and drew 1-1 with Falkirk in the last two games of ours that he reffed.
  7. Duffy recommended him for the youth coach job at Morton, having interviewed him. Presumably Douglas Rae thought Mair was a bawbag too because he didn’t get the job.....
  8. Duffy was gracious in his text. I don't think he bears any grudge after so long. As OK3 notes Mair had a dispute with us too. I have to say he was one of the better guests I've heard on the show.
  9. Listen from 43:30 - the music gives context to the story to come. Duffy texts in later in the programme (you'll need to find that bit yourself).
  10. I was doing some bits and pieces today and listened to the Saturday Supplement of Off the Ball which had Lee Mair on as a guest. Well worth the listen if only for the story of Mair seriously falling out with Jim Duffy and JD texting in to the show on his way back from Kirkcaldy.
  11. Without Layne, Frizzel and Shiels today and with only three subs listed. Raith's first home defeat in league one. Impressive.
  12. BBC weather has sleet but lowest temperature at 0 degrees between midnight and 3:00 am. Should be ok.
  13. The referee was terrible yesterday, but his performance didn't materially change the game all that much. Murray was correctly booked. He was outside his technical area repeatedly.
  14. Airdrie have the worst current home form in League 1 (no wins in last four) with Sons away record being reasonable (undefeated in last four). Saturday against Peterhead wasn't great but it was a win. I'd be disappointed if we didn't take something from this.
  15. Great game and some great individual performances. Good build up play, poise in defence (with a few exceptions). Seems we have yet again used the loan system to great effect. That has to have been Hutton’s best game in a Sons shirt. His work rate, positional sense and distribution were at least a league above where we are.
  16. Someone of my acquaint, spends hours in there, using their electricity and free wi-fi for hours on end. Buys a 99p coffee and treats himself to about 6 free refills. I think he occasionally commits random acts of vandalism in the toilets too. Steak and chips and a pint of Brewdag IPA for £8 though.......
  17. Was he the one that sang Groovy Kind of Love?
  18. Rock Music, if you read this, check your messages.
