    I hate being too negative, but was an utter shambles. As good as we were against Rangers, we were the complete opposite tonight. Awful. If Calvin Ramsay had done his job it would have been 0-0. He hasn’t been anything like his usual self since he came back from his injury. But don’t want to single him out, we were shite all over the park, including the subs. I have no idea what Emmanuel-Thomas does for Aberdeen.

    Really difficult watch so far. Some of the passing from us has been laughable, although I’m not laughing.

    Liverpool used to do that a lot in the eighties, so I would imagine Souness picked it up from there.

    He’s definitely good on RedTV and his commentating for a TV match is passable. It’s when he’s stuck on the radio that he is a nightmare. Seldom tells the listener what’s happening and in his mind I’m sure that he thinks everyone can see the match.

    You would have to hope that when Niall McGinn scores his first goal in the old T C Keay end, he runs, hands cupped to his ears, towards the South Enclosure.

    One of my favourite Niall McGinn goals was in the same match against Kilmarnock where Scott McKenna scored that goal. He’d just come back to the club after his six months away, and with the score at 2-1 to us he picked the ball up just inside our own half by the dugouts, ran diagonally across the pitch and hammered a shot into the net from around the corner of the box. Fantastic.

    I’ve had a fair number of great days/nights out in Motherwell at Cup ties, and one in particular sh*t night. Not the draw either team would probably have chosen, and I don’t think that I’ve been at Fir Park since that horrendous League Cup night, so looking forward to a good cup tie.
