  1. .....but rethinking, it may be mid season, or before the cup final, as Joe Harper didn’t sign until October 1969.
  2. Now, you have history with early and mid season predictions that don’t quite come to fruition. Remember you said that Hearts would finish well ahead of Aberdeen, and the reality was that you were around 25 points behind. Then, the Mighty Jambos were going to sign Niall McGinn for nothing from us. You might well be right this season, who knows, but you really don’t have a great track record.
  3. The Hearts fans are great fun when their team are having a decent run, because the rest of us are just waiting for it all to end in failure. Elixir is my personal favourite.
  4. I liked Michael Stewart’s point that Scott McKenna’s pushes on Morelos were used to justify allowing the appeal against the red card to be upheld, but the foul on Mikey Devlin by Brophy a split second before the red card “foul” were inadmissible. Daryl “it’s a members organisation” Broadfoot has no answer and was left ummimg and aahing.
  5. You wouldn’t know because you never, ever listen, allegedly.
  6. Hey man, totally chilled. Just keep using the names of the two teams that the vast majority of Scottish football fans detest, as the names of the ends of our national stadium. Cool.
  7. And you’ll never convince me either. Just you keep calling the West and East Stands the Rangers and Celtic ends, and show everyone that Scottish football is all about two clubs only.
  8. I really don’t see how naming the ends of the only neutral stadium that we have after two horrendous clubs, “highlight the stitch up that is Scottish football”. You’re highlighting the stupidity of Scottish football fans by doing that.
  9. It’s as neutral as is possible in this country. Scottish football fans should not be perpetuating this naming of ends after two clubs. North Stand, East Stand, West Stand and South Stand, those are the only names required.
  10. Thanks for that info. However you completely spoiled (spoilt?) your post by putting (Celtic End) in it. The East Terracing was the East Terracing.
  11. As a minimum, we have to keep at the SFA/SPFL until they come out and explain the rationale behind Morelos, Brown/Naismith, McGregor (twice), Dicker, Devlin, Clarke/Kilmarnock, Gerrard and Jack. Astonishingly every one of these decisions was judged in the wrong way, in the vast majority of fans minds, and the fans need answers, for once.
  12. All joking aside, Aberdeen have to go all the way with this one and back up Stephen Clarke and Kilmarnock, citing as bad, or worse, comments coming from Steven Gerrard and Ryan Jack this season with no punishment whatsoever.
  13. The Aberdeen statement is massive. Surely the SFA/SPFL or whoever must respond to it in one way or another, and maybe, just maybe, other clubs will now put their heads above the parapet and get this revolution moving. Craig Gordon’s comments are totally irrelevant, as he’s just annoyed that a Rangers player wasn’t disciplined, and his club are one of two benefiting from this incompetence that just gets worse as the season progresses, and we’re only in September. I’m sure that he wasn’t bothered when Scott Brown wasn’t cited for his elbow in the Hearts game.
  14. That’s the reasons for not upholding the red card for Michael Devlin up on the SFA Disciplinary website (I’m not bright enough to post the link). There is no mention whatsoever in the reasoning regarding the fact that, a split second before Devlin is adjudged to have fouled Brophy, Brophy undeniably fouls Devlin, and no mention whatsoever about Logan coming across to cover. It states that there is no player between Brophy and the goal. Now that is 100% correct, but the point surely being that by the time Brophy reaches a shooting distance, Logan would have been there. Utter trash.
  15. I can’t believe that that was published in a national newspaper of any quality. The problem is that the article shows how Cowan really thinks, and the rubbish that comes out of his mouth on Off The Ball will be what he thinks he has to say, and not what he wants to say.
  16. Just watched a superb interview with Bobby Clark on Red TV. For those of us who grew up with Bobby Clark in our goal for 99% of the time between 1965 and 1980, it’s just brilliant stuff.
  17. The reasons for chucking out our appeal are STILL not up on the SFA Disciplinary website. Utter cowardice.
  18. Sorry to have a go, but I hate the phrase. In my mind it’s lazy and undefined. It can mean five years ago, ten years ago, forty years ago, sixty years ago, and therefore has no meaning. There I go again. And don’t get me started with people that start the answer to any question with “so”.
  19. “Back in the day”? What on earth does that actually mean? How is it defined?
