Not sure, good option to have but Hester is here long term. The new lad certainly played well but you could not describe his finishing as clinical. Hester is not the most cultured but he brings pace going forward and defensively works hard at closing players down. His scoring record thus far is pretty good. I can see the manager accommodating all three by playing Hester wide right in the absence of McKay and Okeefe.

Cracking game which I really enjoyed. In the end a travesty that we did not win but at HT we would have been happy with a draw. The ref had a big hand in the result, the second Edinburgh penalty the lad kicked the ground and fell over and then he turned down a stonewall Elgin penalty. Easy to blame the ref though and Elgin could have been 3-0 up after about 15 minutes and must have missed at least 6 great chances in the second, if we had taken these chances the refs performance would have been immaterial. Two decent teams and if we continue to play like we did second half we will roll a few teams over. However it’s points that make prizes and we’ve only got 6. On a slight negative note signs of last seasons defensive frailties on show.

Elgin have signed Matthew Aitken on loan from Forfar. Striker as back up to Sutherland and Hester.

Drainage nowadays is pretty good. Don’t think there will be a problem unless rain is of biblical proportions.

Think Edinburgh are just beginning to get up to speed after a sluggish start. Would be delighted with a win but think Edinburgh might shade it.

Defo I see to many fans/owners throughout the country with unrealistic expectations of their club which frequently leads to boom and bust. Fiscal prudence must be a priority to ensure the future existence of clubs.

Kelty and a couple hanging on to their coat tails, for now, one of whom got hammered by Cove last year disna sound particularly competitive to me.

Don’t think he’s under any pressure either but a few bad results and the prospect of bottom will soon get people on his case. Don’t think we were ever cruising v Cowdenbeath. I’ve seen us loose a few 3 goal leads in recent seasons. I wouldn’t have changed it till last 10. I dare say if somebody was sticking out in training they would be in.

I see where your coming from and agree in principal. The problem is that if we lose Saturday, Brechin and Stirling win, then we are near the bottom of the league. The pressure on the manager gets ramped up (Brechin have already lost a manager 3 games in) so you can see and understand why you would be reluctant to have a punt on someone untested. Good Omar is back but heard Cameron is a bit away from a return yet.

Tough one for Elgin. Long injury list showing no signs of clearing up which is leaving us with little scope to change things around. Not optimistic of getting a result I’m afraid.

It’s a new lad doing it this season and obviously his camera isn’t of the same quality of the previous one used. The girl who did it previously has been poached by Rangers! I get what your saying but it is our highlights and really not interested in yours!
