  1. No arguments from me ICT. As you say and I was alluding to it is a tactic to be used on occasion when the circumstances are right but not all the time.
  2. Yeah hope it’s a straight forward break and he can get back ASAP and have an injury free run. He deserves a bit of luck. As for the long ball from the GK I think the idea is to try and break quickly utilising our pace up front then pressing early and high. Worked well enough in early games but can’t do it all the time.
  3. That’s a quick change of mind. 2-1 to 3-0 in the space of 3 hours! The alcohol starting to take effect
  4. Agree with the above. Don’t think there will be much in it. As always if we can keep it tight at the back we will score.
  5. We’re carrying a pretty long injury list at the moment so don’t think there is a lot of scope for changing much.
  6. A good solid defending left back is what we needed and Spark is better than we had. There is enough flair going forward to allow him to defend.
  7. Not sure where I heard it but I’m sure at the start of the season there was something about Mchale wanting to return south for employment reasons but could not get out of his contract obligations with Elgin?
  8. Billy Bremner was 4. Bobby Moore was 6 end of argument
  9. If Cox had connected with that tackle, O’keefe would have landed in the swimming pool, the speed he was going and Cox would have been straight up the tunnel. I like Cox though and have said it before, I would have him in the centre of my midfield. He plays on the edge but to his and teams detriment he sometimes goes over the edge. Cowdenbeath were up to Elgin early and had Brunch in the Laich. Cowdenbeath are physical but I’ve seen a lot worse at BB and just think they were trying to exploit Elgin’s perceived lack of physicality, which is fair enough.
  10. You worry about your own club. They could be in the same division as Elgin nest season!
  11. Thought there was not much between the teams in the first half and if Cowdenbeath had scored first, may have been a different outcome. Elgin dominated the second half. Number of good performers and while wouldn’t argue with mom, I thought McEwan did well alongside Dingwall, he maybe lacks a bit of pace and physique but is neat and tidy with his distribution and keeps it simple. With Omar and Cameron to come back it makes for a decent midfield.
  12. Got a new sprinkler system fitted during summer. Prob be flooding now
  13. They may have planned playing a stronger team if injuries and recruitment panned out differently but lacking a crystal ball!
  14. What the players want and what is better for the season long term, is two different things.
  15. Of your north based players 2 are injured. Big risk to play Cooper, Wilson with McHardy injured, Mchale, no back up for him, Sutherland, not going to risk him. As I said we have a good 13, 14 players but not a lot if we have a few injuries etc.
  16. Shows how big a step up it is from youth football to even HL level. As I said earlier it is a little concerning that our bench is mostly made up of youngsters.
  17. Yeah think he’s been decent enough so far. Brings more legs than McGovern did into the centre mid position.
  18. Can understand fans welcoming a motivated player back but it’s a disgrace he’s captain. The lack of respect he showed to management, players, officials not to mention fans last time, it beggars belief. I realise McHardy and Cameron are injured but what about Bronsky who has stuck with the club or Cooper in the absence of the aforementioned?
  19. Just popped into this site to see how Clyde are doing pre season and all I find is screeds of posts about Goodwillie and Robertson. Talk about a deja vue moment. Fck me.
