Nae sure how many midfielders we need unless he is a defensive one? Know nothing about him, you never know he might be a star!

Think all teams/managers are looking for a player with the X factor who can beat a player and create something out of nothing but Eastons problem is after beating a player he goes back and has another couple of goes until he is tackled or closed down. As for St Johnstone, apart from not seeing the bigger picture he doesn’t have the pace for that level.

As an Elgin fan the criticism of Easton mirrors what he got at Elgin. Talented but nae much end product. Ditto Kerr Hay but a couple of notches down on the talent scale. An impact sub at our level.

Not better off on the field don’t think there is any doubt about that but he has apparently been a very divisive influence off it.

Can we have McLean on loan? He must be pretty pissed off! Would have thought you had enough forwards? Now you sign another injury prone one. Jim obviously gambling like last year that he is not going to get any defensive injuries. Dont shout at Sutherland!

Great start by the lad, he can’t do more than that and I hope he continues. If he does I’ll be the first to admit I was a bit hasty in my assessment but one swallow does not make a summer.

McHale hasn’t impressed me in the games he has played to suggest he is a long term goalie for us. Granted he could have had more game time to show what he can do but if you were manager would you take a chance on him! Gourlay I would imagine will be released by Dundee at the end of the season. Maybe he has been lined up? Who knows.

I agree with your logic and sentiments Elginer. If JP can be replaced with a better player fair enough. Looks like the plan is to go with a solid 12, 13 and maybe the rest of the squad being youngsters.

I think JP merits his inclusion. Who you dropping him for?

Think the team will be needing major surgery for next season. Three signed defenders although agree with Auld Gits comments there. Soapy signed, who else. Sutherland will be away, Morrison to replace him? He will probably be looking for bigger elsewhere. McHale is signed but not convinced by him, payed well on Sat but at fault for first 2 goals as he was last time I saw him at Stirling and a league game earlier in the season. I think JP will be away. Omar, Lowdon and Bronsky not sure what their contract situation is. A lot of decent players needing to be found. Big summer coming up for Elgin!

Saw him in the Juniors a few weeks back. Did not look out of place there and that is several levels below us. He is quite pacy but slight in build. Saw enough of him to form my opinion. Time will tell!

Aye he’s out of contract. Don’t think anyone would pay for him now with nothing to pay at the end of season.

Rumours of Cove, Brora, Peterhead and Forfar. He will be off to the highest bidder and if that includes Elgin, he will stay.

Hopefully play him up front instead of Mcleish. Give the boy a chance and we might get more out of him.

Think end of season is more likely although some at Elgin would want shot of him before then.

Fair chance they will disappear out of this division. Will that make it a more level playing field for Clyde, the self declared big team in the division?

Trying to get Gourlay to stay.

I see Scott Miller and Ryan Farquhar have left the club and joined Forres. Disappointed to see local loons leaving but I guess they were not happy with being squad players. I don’t think Farquhar has the pace in particular to cut it at this level. Miller was a bit unlucky as we are pretty strong in the central midfield position which I think he prefers. Leaves us a bit thin on the ground squad wise with Byrne also recently leaving. Maybe a bit of business being lined up for January? Bit worrying if not!
