  1. Was a strole in the park and some players treated it as such. We never got out of 3rd gear and tempo was never high enough. We must have had a record number of touches of the ball but it was all too slow and lacked direction at times. They made it difficult by packing midfield and defence but thought we tried to play through them and not around them enough. Some of our passing was terrible at times. All said it was a win and that’s the name of the game, so well done all. Good to have two decent keepers for a change. I personally think it would be harsh on Gourlay if he was dropped and would imagine he will be first choice till his loan ends in January. Gordon I like your comment about Hay running about a lot. You could say that about a few of them but unless they get their heads up now and again there will be no end product.
  2. I would say Formartine are a lot better than a mid table HL side. They are not far behind Cove in ability terms with some useful players.
  3. Good to see McInally down coaching the youngsters today at Catto Park. Also saw McAllister going in about. Good on them.
  4. Well done Edinburgh. Played well and thoroughly deserved win.
  5. Sorry to intrude in your thread but thought that the quote “then 5 successive games that we should be winning” was a bit optimistic from a supporter of a team that has won 2 and lost 9 league games so far this season!
  6. Yeah he would have to sign for Rothes as he now has not got a club. Never really showed much for us. Free up a wage,
  7. The players I know are on a fixed amount per week and get bonuses for win and goals etc. Don’t think hourly rates come into it.
  8. Ali Sutherland off to Rothes on loan according to P&J. Bit of a surprise?
  9. Yeah played most of game. Bit surprised but not sure what going on behind scenes, whether peace has broken out or not.
  10. Managed fine without Sutherland goals this season. Jim Weir confident of signing striker in next 24 hours, no prizes for guessing who! Heard Sutherland hasn’t been turning up for training.
  11. According to paper Forfar are favourites but Arbroath and Cove mentioned. Either way I’m pretty sure he will end up at Cove or Brora, if not next season, the season after.
  12. Dunno if it was obvious. Hoped once the season started he would settle down, obviously not. Him staying may have been a factor in others signing.
  13. In P&J. Heard he was a disruptive influence behind scenes. Club maybe had enough.
  14. Shane Sutherland is being allowed out on loan, you and Arbroath are being credited with an interest.
  15. Shane Sutherland is being allowed to go out on loan.
  16. Things could change come the Christmas window and doomed clubs suddenly find resources they previously didn’t have to get a few players in. They could easily also do a Cowdenbeath and latterly concentrate on winning a play off game which was the sensible thing to do.
  17. Couldn’t have put it better myself. We are supposed to be supporters supporting the team and players within it. We all have opinions about players but on a Saturday we would be better offering encouragement especially when we are down. Too many shouting the same shit week in week out, regardless of how the game is going and have been since the sixties and beyond. Decent start to the season with the makings of a good team. Let’s hope Sat was a blip and I’m sure there will be a few others, just like other teams have had already and will as the season goes on.
  18. Thought the formation was working ok till yesterday.
  19. We maybe are but from a Cowdenbeath fan a bit like the kettle calling......
  20. Don’t like to slagTatters as he does a power of work behind the scenes and with the help of the Robertson cash he has run a sound financial ship unlike a lot of our contemporaries. That however does not excuse this fiasco. He should if not consider his position get more help in instead of him and Cecil Jack trying to do everything. There must be some green keeper out there willing to help. This could cost us dear, lost revenue and fine I would imagine. Biggest issue may well be loss of momentum as others have said. We were beginning to get it together on the field with the signing of Morrison maybe being the icing on the cake. Wonder what Gavin and players are thinking? They have been let down badly.
  21. According to our local paper, you Stranraer and us are trying to sign Greg Morrison from Ross County on loan. He is 20 year old striker, was on loan at Dumbarton last year.
