  1. Seems the strong expectation is that the funeral will be on Monday 19th so at least that ensures football a week tomorrow. Perhaps all four clubs involved (Ayr, Partick, Morton, Falkirk) can agree with the SPFL to punt the Trust cup fixtures to some time in October, given the next round isn't till December 10th, and reschedule the league games to Thursday or Friday night 22/23 September.

Bash some heads together, get the show back on the road FFS.

Not sure if any players are away for international games though.

  2. Just bought a ticket as I don't fancy any ticket office nonsense especially if there are queues. The digital download didn't work on my phone so I did it on my laptop, downloaded the pdf then sent it to my email account.

To see the digital ticket you have to select "Purchase History", then click on the Transaction ID for this game, then the View button. Then the "Mobile - PDF" button to get the digital ticket and save to your PC.

It didn't work initially when I selected a seat in row A but just selected a random seat in row F and worked then. Looks like it doesn't remove seats that have been sold 🤣 The digital tickets have worked before so no reason why not this time.

Mullin should be a decent addition as long as he doesnt carry last seasons form.

The vegetarian talk a few pages back, made me think of how we STILL dont have veggie options in the kiosks. Annoying when teams like Irvine Meadow can offer a macaroni pie option. Anyway, rant over 🤣

We do, the new stall on the North Terrace did macaroni pies at the Hamilton game. I had one, nom nom.

    £22 !!!

That's bloody outrageous given the view !!

There was an error getting a ticket from the main stand then I noticed the option was  "pick up from ticket office" when I tried again for the wee Dublin end. Last season the ticket was on the phone so not sure if thats just a default option and you always get a pdf to scan via the receipt.

Think I'll leave it for now!

It is a badly run tournament that can have you drawn in midweek fixtures to far flung corners of not just Scotland but the entire UK. Or get to watch a premier youth team.

More games mean more injuries and if it’s a straight red card, more suspensions. More games for fans to pay in to. During the cost of living crisis, more games to have to power during the winter.

I couldn’t tell you any of the last 5 winners

All future rounds of this cup are on weekends. After September the next round is on December 10th which appears to have been set aside for this competition as there are no league games scheduled. Three more rounds after that which would push league games to midweek. Its a recipe for fixture madness.

  6. I normally gorge on pies at the football on Saturdays but didn't on Friday night as I'd eaten beforehand. However I noticed that someone had erected a wedding reception style gazebo attached to the food stall, meaning people could queue in relative comfort instead of being shat on if it was raining, and could potentially attract more fans to the pie stall that might not normally bother because of the weather.

Its that kind of simple commercial logic coming into the club that I love to see.  We're definitely due some bad news soon.
