I see Bobby Linn is getting his farewell tonight. I'd love to be there tonight (I only support Lochee United, not Dundee United), but I can't seem to buy any tickets. Maybe a bit cheeky to ask it in here, but any chance anyone can help me out for tonight? 🤔

If you phone the club and explain I'm sure they would be happy to help.

Couple of unknown faces in background of Dicks interview.

Also training at regional performance centre which is new?

Letham will have midweek league games at the start of the season so probably just a temporary measure. Sure Ross Campbell is involved with the running of the place.

Good news! We now have an online archive containing our entire history! The archive is now fully live and can be found here; Arbroath Archive. Below gives a rough idea of what we've got on there:

    ·  A record of every game we've played from 1878 until present day, with over 6400 total games in total, with game date (teams, subs, scorers, ref etc) where known, and highlights for modern day games

    ·  A match report for every almost every game with thousands of old reports from the Arbroath Herald & Arbroath Guide and dozens of other sources, as well as fan reports from the old arbroathfc.org.uk website for our games in the 90s and early 00s

    ·  A profile for every player who has played for the club containing their full playing record for the club as well as player info, a picture where we have it and a biography

    ·  Our all-time player appearance records, goalscorer records and clean sheet records

    ·  Hundreds of pictures, programme covers, a managerial timeline, hat trick heroes and lots more!

As well as the site itself, we will be looking to keep our social media pages fairly active with regular posts on a whole host of things, such as 'Guess the Player', 'On This Day', 'Did You Know?' etc. as well as hopefully further articles/ interviews in the future.

We have a fantastic history as a football club, and I'm delighted we have our full records online for all to see and hope the social media channels will help bring some wonderful stories of players, matches etc. to you all over the coming months/ years. If anyone wants to get involved or has any material they think we should have on the site it'd be great to hear from them.

It'd be great if people we're able to share the site/ social media posts on their own online profiles to get things out there. Any and all questions/ contributions/ ideas etc. are welcomed and very much encouraged :)

Arbroath Vics looked pretty good today, nice to see a competitive game so early in the season.

Was the Vics game and they were well worth their win. They've got a young squad this season but definitely some talent there, and an improvement in the goalkeeping ranks too from what I've seen.

Plan on heading through to Broughty Vs Panmure on Wednesday, early signs not great for a Panmure threepeat.

Mental we have folk assisting with recruitment and we seemingly can’t identify a single left back in the country in near 5 months.

Must be hard work scouting when our head of recruitment is soaking in the hospitality at every game to be fair. You'd think he might be, I don't know, scouting?

Noticed Forfar and now Brechin have sold the naming rights to their grounds…. Can’t be long until we follow suit

I don't think we would really need to given our financial situation, but if we did it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Any ground with an established name that gets sponsored continues to be called by its original name anyway.

Our cup record under Campbell has been pretty dreadful tbh, to the point where he's commented on it himself.  He never seems to take it seriously.  I still haven't forgiven him for throwing the Dunfermline game last season.

Must be tiring being the only person ever to care about a challenge cup result. Should have done what any sane person did that night, stayed in the pub and watched Holland Vs Argentina.

For st mirren i’d go with

    gaston

    steele little tob gold

    stewart/stowe balde slater dow

    mckenna

    bird

I noticed shay logan left cove, would take him on a short term deal as long as he sorts his shorts out

Agree with that team. Think Logan is away offshore though, I thought the same thing when he left cove

  9. I do not understand Dick's mind at times. Tonight should have been a comfortable 3/4-0 victory and a chance for us to just enjoy a game, something we haven't had much of over the last year. Instead he starts with a centre of the park that was always going to get overrun, and two wingers who can't beat a man. A left back in needed ASAP as Scott Stewart will never be one, for me it would have made much more sense having Stewart right midfield and Gold at left back. Disappointed after looking forward to this game, giving St. Mirren a miss but it would not surprise me if we go away and nick a 1-0 win.
