  1. So, if I've got this right we could have 4 right backs and no fit left backs by the end of this evening. Sounds the Dundee way
  2. I am and yes, you are right, even if the likes of McPake, McIntyre and Kernaghan make that less obvious to the younger Dees. Still, better than being a glory hunting (let's face it, when the going gets tough most of the DAB's disappear from the derby, (far from suggesting that is you)), dayglo, wnker that epitomises a good section of your support. Both teams are crap at the moment and though I suspect you lot will win due to the total ineptitude of said McPake (that said, you do have to put up with being managed by Courts, the most embarrassing manager of all time - overtaking our Coco the clown). Quite frankly it's sh1te all round at the moment and I'd rather be fighting it out with better teams, and managers, than we currently have. Still, we'll be there on Tuesday and may the less sh1t team win in what is usually Scotland's best derby
  3. Quite frankly I'd bin Griffiths and use the money to get Rudden in now. Will it work out for him in top league, who knows. What we do know is that Griffiths has had since May last year to get fit, way too long for me to have faith he's getting anywhere near where he need to be now. Could well be that he is just one of these people that puts weight on when they're early thirties, it does happen. What we do know for sure is we've needed a LB for a long, long time. Sackable offence if we don't get this sorted this window, especially given Marshall injury
  4. Is McGhee injury just a wee knock and he should be available for the weekend? If so, drop Fontaine and yes, Mulligan in for Elliot
  5. After that surely they can see that Griffiths is not the answer. Any chance we have another option up our sleeve (rhetorical question). And I pick on Griffiths cause he is at least out of contract, there were a few out there that have played v Liv and Dumbarton as well and have shown to be no where near it. Maybe a new manager could get more out of them (now completely clutching at straws)
  6. Are you McPake? Really!!! (Not all bad - just a few glaringly obvious flock ups) Legzdins (don't get all this stuff about him, best keeper we've had in a long time) Mulligan McGhee Sweeny Kerr Byrne McMullen Anderson Chapman Adam (replaced by McGinn 60 mins cause he's fcuked) Griffiths (replaced by Mullen after 25 mins cause he's fcuked) Jakubiak, McGowan to replace other players that are Horsefieldish Drop Elliot off on a raft on the Tay and tell him we'll pick him up on the way back....
  7. If there were rolling subs we could have Adam, McGinn and Allan doing 2/3 of a game each. That might work
  8. I'd been planning to go but after paying £20 to watch that utter sh1t v Livi I decided not to buy for the Dumbarton game. Good decision by sounds of it as if anything it sounded even worse. Do I think McPake will get the team playing football worth watching v Saintees........... I'd be going to the game in a flash if the leave by mutual consent announcement was made but there is zero chance of this happening
  9. Got to get our average age up!! Worries me a bit when players are nearing the end of their careers, will McPake keep him motivated?
  10. Worrying that there doesn't seem to be any rumour around a LB, was McPake so happy with Marshall that he didn't think this was a priority. That said I'd go for a new manager over a new LB if it were a straight option.
  11. Looking again at goals last night I think the first takes a slight nick off of Elliot so not a fault of Legzdins (or Elliot). The second Fontaine and Elliot combine to allow a chance no keeper would save. Elliot should never be anywhere near the team and if we had another LB, that has obviously been needed anyway, then that wouldn't have been an issue. Fontaine can play well but has too many games like last night to persist with him and that has been obvious for a very long time.
  12. and while this is true it is only part of the picture as the line up last night, on paper, looked fine given who was available. The bit he fails to mention is his recruitment, getting his players fit, at least keeping their skill levels up (many out there last night looked as if they'd never seen a ball before), his tactics and my favourite, his motivation. Imagine being motivated by McPake, what king of person would that be.
  13. and he'd be better than what we have. Killie sacked him when he had way more points per game than McPake. Does Nelms sing "Totally devoted to you" every night?
  14. Not sure where to start after that. The only plus is that he will have to make LB a priority, shouldn't have been the case but now needs must. Bringing Mulligan on in the middle of that, wtf. Why was Byrne on the bench Was clear from very early on that with the sh1t show going on he was exactly what we needed. Overall, we looked unfit, not sure what they all did during the winter break, get pissed every night? Livi showed how to press (and they were the ones leading), while we were an utter shambles. McPake showing, once again, that he is miles out his depth. If only those that made the decisions had an ounce of common sense,
  15. Really hard to say who's been our worst player (Livi in same boat). 5 subs is it nowadays?
  16. kind of, been more 4-4-1-1 recently with preferred line up of McCowan Adam Anderson McMullen, Gowser in the hole and Mullen up front. With that we can look pretty good and I'd be alright with this over the next few games (with McGhee back in defence). Byrne was good before his injury but not sure how he fits in now. 4-1-4-1? Still thinking LB is the highest priority but someone to get on end of crosses would be nice
  17. Might well get McDaid back from Falkirk Wouldn't want to spend too much budget on cover, perhaps if we got a LB that could defend we could then have Marshall also as LM cover, he's pretty good going forward.
  18. Right enough, would say he's cost us more goals this season than any of his team-mates. Huge impact
  19. Hopefully we concentrate only on core requirements (LB, creative midfielder and CF). Defence looked good with McGhee back there so why Watson? Byrne also back shortly as midfield option. Mind you, wouldn't be unhappy with return of Gorgeous G
  20. Problem with bringing forward winter break is that the current forecast is virus to peak end Jan beginning Feb so expect follow up announcement of further restrictions till numbers start to fall
  21. Who says it doesn't work. Scientist saying that protection can be up around 75% This is all about pressure on NHS, if everyone was vaccinated there would be less pressure and therefore less likelihood that fans would be locked out.
  22. I'd stick with McGhee as CH. Looked much more solid with him back there and he'll get better playing there regularly again. LB is a key issue, don't like idea of Cammy there, or Elliot at RB, regularly, another creative midfielder as Adam can't play full games every game and we need a different, stronger, option up front. With that we should be ok
  23. Yip, Marshall out and Panter still can't make the team. Feels like a blessing that I've never seen him play. One or two injuries today and...
  24. Elliot Gowser McMullen Adam McCowan with Mullen up top or McMullen Gowser Mullen Adam McCowan with Griffiths up top pleeeease no Elliot at RB and as for Kerr DM !!!!! McPake tombola though
