  1. I don’t think next week decides 3rd place as there will be 2 games to go but huge advantage to whoever wins the game.
  2. Is it clearly working for them ? They are currently 7 points off a playoff place and missed out last season too. It is quite a while since Morton have been in a promotion play off, so I am not so sure their game plan is a successful one football wise, if that is what you were meaning.
  3. We really want to hold on to 3rd place. If Airdrie win tonight, they are only 2 points behind.
  4. On Facebook, the Thistle description was something like - Kane falls over, ref awards penalty.
  5. Out of interest why was this game not on last night. I thought if there was a game at Hampden on Tuesday then QP had to play their home game on the Friday.
  6. We’ll just need to wait and see and hope that I am wrong.
  7. I said the points gap was false. But let’s say Airdrie win their games in hand and beat us, they are only 1 point behind.(or ahead depending on our result with Raith and whoever they are playing). If we lose to Dunfermline, Morton beat Airdrie and win their game in hand, they are only 3 behind. I don’t think we are secure in 3rd place just yet.
  8. I don’t think Dunfermline have been inconsistent recently. I think they are actually the form team over 4, 6 and 8 games and top 3 over the last 10.
  9. Think our points gap is a bit false as Morton and Airdrie have games in hand. We are also down to the bare bones of the squad - 7 players out yesterday due to injury. A few of those won’t be back this season. We won yesterday due ICT’s inability to create much, although we have shored up defensively in recent weeks.
  10. You had a lot of the ball but I don’t remember Mitchell having to make any serious saves. Your tactic was lumping balls into the box which would’ve worked a few weeks ago, but it looks like we have got that sorted. Based on not being able to create anything, I think you are destined for the playoff. Although, having said that, things can change really quickly in this league.
  11. If DU need 20 points they are screwed as they only have 6 games left. The obvious reality of Saturday’s game is that DU need to win to keep the destination of the title in their own hands. Any other result means that Raith Rovers have it to win/throw away.
  12. So far this quarter we are replicating the results from the 2nd round of matches.
  13. I will be delighted if we get 13 points from our remaining 6 games. If it happens and my arithmetic is right, that would mean us taking 20 points in the final quarter.
  14. Neilson didn’t play for the U21s last night although he was on the bench and I don’t think they have another game this window. Will he be available for us tomorrow?
  15. You are right about the premiership only voting, but unfortunately you introduced the assumption that every club bar 5 or 6 would move to plastic and suggested it might even be included in the email to your club
  16. The community argument has to be a red herring. It suggests that clubs that don’t have artificial pitches can’t or don’t have community aspects to their clubs. How much is a hybrid pitch to install and maintain compared to other surfaces ?
  17. Even although it was iffy, it seemed to have worked as his throw ins didn’t cause problems this time.
  18. I think putting the hoardings there was iffy, but putting them back once Strapp had moved them wasn’t as the advertiser has paid for their product to be advertised.
  19. Quite a feat for teams that are bottom and 2nd bottom to have held it for 2 games between them at this stage of the season.
