He has been excellent. His set up play for Greive's goal v Aberdeen was sensational. Been very pleasantly surprised by him. -
St Johnstone's Next Permanent Manager 23/24
Hendo replied to Ludo*1's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I'd agree with this. I think my view of him changed af the time he became Livi manager and had to be assessed as being a fit and proper person for the role. At the time, he was very open and honest about his past, took responsibility and showed remorse. -

Are Livi not under new ownership? Thry might not fancy Martindale so he'd rather jump before he's pushed. -
Not really, we're not really concerning us with the lower end of the table this season.

St. Mirren vs St. Johnstone 28/10

I think O'Hara has been fine. Perhaps not as good as last season, but still decent. -

I actually felt a bit sorry for the St Johnstone fans who travelled, it is shite when you know your team is so poor and are likely to get relegated. Only hope is there must be something about them if they could get points at Parkhead and Pittodrie. They also didnt bring with them the usual away contingent of wee fannies high on alcopops who think they are in a gangster movie, so that was good to see. -

Thats quite a tempting bet given our propensity to feck up against teams desperate for a win. -

Just out of interest, whats the script with Brophy and Henderson at County? I thought both would be decent signings, but they've hardly featured, Henderson isnt even on the bench tonight. -

Hopefully, though i think the club backed down even though their statement makes it sound like Wardrope did. I wonder if Kibble directors are still taking legal action against him? If they are, i hope its just to ensure he never refers to himself as Mr St Mirren ever again. -

I get that, and its possible the pitch wouldnt have lasted, in which case the footballing authorities could have done an assessment based on predicted weather and pitch conditions. But they didnt get that chance, because the police advised them to cancel, based on poor travel conditions that dont really exist. As others have said, its the inconsistency that is the issue, other fans, ie Dundee United, are travelling long distances and it seems to be ok for them. -

Agree that Collum abandoning the game would have been the worst case scenario, however my point is the police advised the game should be cancelled for safety reasons when the trains are back on, and the weather on the way up is fine. Maybe we should just go further and ban away fans from going to County or ICT games because the A9 has had a lot of accidents? Bit unfair to have a go at fans for simply querying this. -

Currently in Perthshire on the train home, its not even raining here! -

Agreed. We came up on bus on Thursday, no issues. It is raining but not that heavy (a light shower compared to the deluge before the Scotland v Georgia game). Game could and should have been on. I'd imagine when the game is played the away support will be much less, as theres no way a lot of us will be able to come up then. -

Disappointing but not unexpected, currently waiting on a train down the road, met a fellow Saints fan with his wee boy at the hotel who was in the same position. Ironically, on the day the police call the game off because of travel safety concerns, the trains are now back up and running. -

I think the weather warning covering Perth tomorrow kicks in at 12, so presumably by then most Saints fans will be past that area. -

I just hope there's no risk of an abandonment. The thought of Willie Collum parading round the pitch for 20 minutes bouncing the ball, 2013 style, gives me the fear. -

I'm already up here so hoping this goes ahead. Was meant to be in Skye last night but never made it as the train hit a tree! Now spending the day trying to entertain an 11 year old in Inverness. If the game is off as well i predict a meltdown of epic proportions, and probably not just from him. -

We travelled up today as going to Skye to see my dad before the game. Trains off to Inverness, got the bus up, it was wet around Perth but i've seen much worse. Its also expected to be better on Saturday and there wont be any red warnings by then. -

The forecast for Dingwall is for light rain, game should be fine unless the County groundsman soaks the pitch as they are scared of the mighty Paisley Brazilians coming to town. -

I have raised it with SMISA - I think the change came in when Kibble came on board. I think the only way to change it is to submit a motion to the AGM - I enquired how to do that but didnt receive an answer. -

While his location is IMO an issue in carrying out his responsibilities as a board member, the biggest issue is the lack of transparency over who else applied and the lack of a vote. He may be a good candidate, but he got on the board through a coronation, not an election. -

We knew we'd never draw a team from Rome, it would probably be a side from a village in the Faroes or Estonia, so when that was the option Dingwall doesnt sound so bad.
