This. I don't really dislike St Mirren all that much, I'm under 40 so 86 wasn't on my radar and any other games you've beaten us in that mattered in recent years I blame Hearts for. But even if I did hate you, it wouldn't be enough to want me wanting Hibs in the top 6. As low as possible for them, always, please.

Hearts v Killie 30/03/24
Tony Wonder replied to Ocular Patdown Required's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I think it's fair to say it's a brilliant finish. I think it's also fair for Hearts fans to look at that and think the defending is pish. The initial header is soft and when it's picked up there is absolutely no pressure applied. If Lembikisa or Kent push out he doesn't get the time to line it up like that. Not that I'd expect Killie fans to care about any of that, but it's not anything unusual for Hearts fans to be disappointed at it. -
Hearts v Killie 30/03/24

I'm hopeful we won't. Big squad of players trying to get in with a point to prove. Yesterday was a lot of guys who'd been all over the world and only returned to training on Friday. Next week will tell us a lot though in that regard. Not surprised we weren't at our best but still thought we were decent at times. -

Thought a draw was about fair. Better result for us than Killie though, but no one settled and both teams were trying to win it. Enjoyable game. Good play from Shankland at our goal and Watkins' was a fucker. -

Tough game this. Realistically a draw would be fine, Killie are unlikely to overtake us anyway, but if you keep it at 11 points of a lead and stopped them cutting it to 8 it stops any unnecessary nerves. That said we are at home and should be looking to win. Before the international break Naismith said we should have Nieuwenhof and Kent back, but it seems to have gone a bit quiet on them so no idea. Would be a massive boost if they were available. We have a lot of players travelling long distances back after international duty so it might effect our lineup a bit. Think Oda might start over Vargas and McKay is back as well and although he's unlikely to start, it'll be great to have him back as an option off the bench. I'll go for a narrow 2-1 win for Hearts. -

It's quite obviously Hearts taking the piss after the reaction to the statement. Believe it's not if you want. -

Vargas signs on a permanent deal, 5 year contract. Delighted with that, he's been a bit raw at times but has great potential and is only 21. Excited to see how he develops. -

The Rangers fans realise that's tongue in cheek rather than a real rallying cry right? -

Edited as it was the Semi against Celtic. I don't particularly care about the badge yesterday, it's a nonsense. However, we hadn't plastered a Hearts badge over someone else's and had permission to do so. It's not exactly a gotcha. -
Shankland in general was good, it's churlish to say he wasn't. For 70 minutes we were the better team and he played his part in that. There's no getting away from the miss though, it was poor and 9 times out of 10 he tucks it away. Overall I don't think he done enough to show he should be starting over the others but he never done his cause any harm in terms of a squad place as he was effective and helped us play well for the spell he was on the park. Enough there to show he should be involved IMO.

I think Grant and Fraser will go and that's space for Dhanda and Spittal. Beni isn't signing a new deal, Haring will be off. Cochrane likely to go, Shanks too you assume. Lembikisa will be off. Not sure we'll be actively punting many but there will be quite a few leaving. -

Yeah I get the feeling we'll spend a few quid (by our standards) and try our best to get decent replacements in as we'll inevitably lose a few. -

I doubt we'll be playing both at the same time. We need to improve the squad to deal with Europe if we make the group stages. -

Happy enough with the 3 pre contract signings. Slightly concerned Spittal and Dhanda are quite similar, especially as we have McKay and want Pollock to break through, but both proven in this league. Best thing is it's the opposite of last season. Naismith clearly has an idea of what he wants and we are doing it early, no fucking about in late August. -

Couldn't agree more. Devlin wouldn't be on the out list either, he's exceptional at what he's good at, stop expecting him to be a ball playing midfielder and he's more than good enough. Especially so if he's seen as a squad option. -
Only for diving or mistaken identity. We had one for Alan Forrest overturned for diving against County earlier in the season. Not surprised this one failed, I don't think it's a dive personally, there can be a middle ground, but equally once the ref has gave it they can easily say he's went down easily. Waste of an appeal.

Probably to ensure he's not falling foul of the offside rule. Is he in his eyeline in relation to the position of the ball? No Does he impede his view? No, because its behind a wall. Does he move across his vision as it's struck? No. It's not interference.

Shankland was in no way shape or form interfering with the goalies eyeline. He runs away from it before it's hit and the goalie is focused on Kingsley's actions. The booking for Shankland was also a joke. It's not a penalty, but he's not even claiming for it. Sometimes there is a coming together. We made enough clear chances to win, never mind draw, however if you defend like we did at the goals you simply don't deserve to win. If Forrest could attempt to lift his head now and again it'd be great. Anyway been in a pretty good place, no point moaning too much about a defeat. Hopefully have McKay, Nieuwenhof and Kent back after the international break.

Semi Final: Rangers vs Hearts
Tony Wonder replied to topcat(The most tip top)'s topic in Domestic Cup Football
ST's shouldn't be priority in this case IMO. Figure out the LP cut off for 21k and open it up to everyone who qualifies. Means ST holders can sit with people who are maybe mates but semi regular attendees. Also means nothing like different phases. -
