  1. That game was like the reverse of the one earlier in the season. A tremendous result for us given the number of key players missing from the side. Anderson was brilliant and it was good to have Omeonga and Fitzwater back in the side. Still missed the running of Holt and Pittman and the Strength of Nouble up front. I really hope County stay up. That was my first time through for a game in Dingwall. What a lovely ground. Ten times better than Caley’s. Enjoyed my Staggie pie too.
  2. Goncalves is a wage thief. Clearly no desire to contribute at this level or further his career. A poor signing. Having said that, booing him as he comes onto the pitch is unacceptable. Not a good team performance from us yesterday. We were missing the graft of Holt and Pittman. Shinnie and Sean Kelly are slow in the middle of the park and it meant that the Well players were finding space far too easily. Nouble is also a huge miss from the team at the moment. Bahamboula is our only other player who is capable of holding the ball up in the attacking third and he wasn’t getting anywhere against Penney. Thought Brucey did well given the lack of support. He’s cutting a frustrated figure out there at the moment. Boyes also looks a prospect. Certainly more composed than Ayo. Stephen Bradley had a solid debut and looking forward to seeing more of him. There are things to be positive about but, overall, shite. Hoping to see an improved performance against County.
  3. Ref gifted Hibs the victory today. It was never a red card. Shows how pointless VAR is that it wasn't overturned. Spoiled what could have been a decent game.
  4. I’d say that’s a fairly comfortable win in the end. Stephen Kelly made a big difference to our midfield and St Johnstone rarely threatened after their couple of chances at the beginning of the first half. Got lucky with our goal but fair play to Bahamboula for having a pop. About time something went our way. Needed those three points with Rangers and Celtic back to back. St Johnstone weren’t up to much but they still look a better team than County or Killie.
  5. I thought the referee was very lenient and County took advantage of that. They could and should have received more bookings for persistent fouling. Also, the tackle on Nouble in the first half when he was through could have seen a red card but it was borderline. You always see it differently when it's your side but it did feel like County's disruptive tactics wouldn't have worked with a more stringent referee. Anyway, we often receive criticism for a similar approach against certain teams so can't really complain. Ultimately, the ref wasn't the deciding factor.
  6. First of all, full credit to Ross County for managing to win that game. In the first half, I thought we were going to steamroll them. But the longer they kept us out, the more the game swung in their favour. They fully deserved the 3 points for the way they defended and for taking their chance when it presented itself. As others have said, we need Anderson starting as soon as possible. Nouble, Bahamboula and Guthrie are all too similar to be playing up front together. I like all three of them and think Guthrie has come in for some harsh criticism on here; he didn't have a bad game in my opinion. However, there is a clear lack of goal scoring threat in our team at the moment. We also need Omeonga and Fitzwater back pronto. Shinnie's impact on the game was minute in comparison to the work that Omeonga puts in regularly. Sean Kelly needs a shake. I like him as a player but that's two major f**k ups in two weeks. Either move him back into midfield (if Omeonga isn't back) or bench him for the St Johnstone game. I can see us conceding more goals like the one we did yesterday if he remains at CB. It's hard to be too angry at the team because it wasn't a bad performance. It's just incredibly frustrating to see us take 0 points from two games we should have won.
  7. Yawn. Do you think your moral stance against Livi is in any way original? We hear this sort of shit all the time, albeit rarely with as much bitterness. The majority of us are simply not interested in Meadowbank Thistle. Save your breath.
  8. St Mirren fans seem to be getting a wee hard on after this and using one heat of the moment "undeserved" comment to direct quite a bit of froth in our direction which has clearly been brewing for a while. Could it be do to be with four seasons in our shadow despite being a demonstrably bigger club...or am I reading into it too much? The shithouse comments are pot, kettle, black territory. Robinson's speciality is shithouse teams. I'm afraid to say that, while we often find ourselves in the shithouse club (especially away from home), you are very much one of us, gooble gobble, etc. Anyway, it was 100% a deserved victory. You showed greater mental strength when it counted and won the battle of the shithouses. I don't see you keeping up the current run of form over the course of the season, but if we were able to shithouse our way to a top six finish (twice) since coming back up then anything is possible. See you next time for another shit game of football.
  9. And for Christ's sake, put someone on pens who won't sky it over the bar. Obileye, Holt, Kelly.
  10. Should never have lost that. Get Fitzwater back asap and start Anderson.
  11. Shot ourselves in the foot there and completely switched off. Very uncharacteristic.
  12. Very close game. We started off better but Saints were coming into it towards the end. Bahamboula has been the main threat but not involved enough. Would take a draw tbh. Hope the second half is more entertaining because first was an awful watch.
  13. Agreed. Livie and Saintes have to be physical to survive in this league.
  14. McInnes - “Didn’t think there was a lot in the game.”
  15. Was thinking the same thing. Love Scotty to bits but would say a bit more competition for his spot would benefit the team.
  16. We had the same with Robby McCrorie. Turned out to be shite for us. Young though so who knows.
  17. I hope he's good. Sad to see Salford City (where Kelly was on loan last season) have signed Odin Bailey on a two year deal. That would have been ideal for us.
  18. Excellent performance from the lions today. Just about deserved to win although a draw wouldn’t have been unfair. Nouble is unstoppable at the moment. Going to enjoy him playing for us while it lasts. I’ve certainly seen worse performances from Hibs at the TMA. Had a bit of grit about them and took a more pragmatic approach to the game. Still not enough to avoid a fourth loss in a row against the mighty Lions.
  19. I really like Kelly in the sitting midfield role alongside Holt. Hard to leave Omeonga out though. I’m wondering if he could be given a shot on the right hand side of a 4-2-3-1, similar to where we sometimes played Sibbald. He’s a less offensive option out there than Mullin/Bahamboula but, with Nouble on the other side and Pittman through the middle, there’d still be plenty of attacking threat in the midfield. Shite idea? George Devlin Fitzwater Obileye Penrice Holt Kelly Omeonga Pittman Nouble Anderson
