I am not solely blaming McCrorie. It shouldn't have been a free kick in the first place. However, a better keeper would have saved that. Time to see what Stryjek can offer imo. -

If Stryjek doesn't get a chance after this I'll be livid. Also, ref is a dick. -
Livingston v St Johnstone - 26/09/20
hoobahabba replied to LiviLion's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Thought St Johnstone looked the more threatening side until we got our two goals. After that, we were fairly comfortable bar a 10 minute spell in the second half. Hats off to Tiffoney who I had no faith in whatsoever prior to this game. He did very well; Saints are no mugs in defence. Thought Serrano had another great game and Holt was pretty solid as well. A result that we needed and one that hopefully gives us some momentum going forward. -
Cannabis Cup - Livi vs. Accies

Not a terrible performance but a bloody awful result. We can't afford many more of those I'm afraid. -

Interesting read. I shivered when he talked about the Italians at Livi. Dark times for the club. McKee's story is a strange one. Clearly a talented individual but also a bit of an underachiever. He makes it sound like he's had a lot of hard luck throughout his career but I wonder if it's his attitude that is the real problem. -
Livingston v Rangers - Sun 16th

Some odd choices in our starting 11 but we were getting pumped anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. -

Agreed on Stewart. McCrorie has yet to show his quality with us, however. -

Thanks for the info. Sounds like he would be a good partner for Bartley in the midfield. We certainly need a bit more solidity in the team at the moment. -

Yesterday's performance was worrying. I haven't seen us lose so easily in a long time. Our physical edge seems to have gone, we aren't creating chances and the defence is leaking goals. I watched Holt's post-match interview and he was (justifiably) angry at the players. However, he needs to take some responsibility himself. Not just for the player selection but for the tactics/formation which clearly have not worked in the past two games. Trying not to be too reactionary but that was as feeble a display as I can remember. We have a brilliant squad of players but, if we don't get our intensity back soon, we could really struggle this season. -
St. Mirren vs. Livi
hoobahabba replied to EdinburghLivi's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I would take a draw here. I thought St Mirren were decent last season and would expect them to come at us in this first fixture. I would line up with a 5-3-1-1: McCrorie Devlin Ambrose Guthrie Brown Taylor-Sinclair Bartley Sibbald Pittman Forrest Dykes Alternatively, a 4-2-3-1 McCrorie Devlin Ambrose Guthrie Taylor-Sinclair Bartley Sibbald Forrest Pittman Robinson Dykes -

Nowhere near our first team atm. Good luck to him if he goes. Probably what he needs. -

I would consider the goals he let in against Celtic and Hamilton to be verging on gaffes. At the very least, they were poor. Having said that, he has performed well in other games. Notably, against St Johnstone and Hibs. I'm happy that he'll be back for this season. I think there is a lot more to him than we've seen so far. Shaping up to be a very decent squad for the coming season. -

My money would have been on a seventh place finish for St Johnstone, behind Killie. -
Best/Worst Premiership Stadiums
hoobahabba replied to AsimButtHitsASix's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Pittodrie - I actually like it. Got a lot of character and I've had a very decent steak pie there before. It's old and rickety but not boring. Celtic Park - World class stadium for atmosphere but you get shafted as an away fan. New Douglas Park - Shite. Lack of stands means that it would be impossible to generate any atmosphere even if Livi or Hamilton could muster a decent attendance. Tynecastle - Brilliant stadium. Prefer the location of Easter Road but Tynecastle has it beat for views and atmosphere. Easter Road - Another brilliant stadium. Probably my favourite away day. Rugby Park - The legroom is awful and pies are overrated. It's too big but it's not a bad stadium. Nice mixture of old and modern. Almondvale - It's far too big for us but it would be a bloody good stadium if we had more fans. Having the corners filled in means it can get very loud for its size. Unfortunately, it's only ever filled by OF fans. The lack of decent boozers in the vicinity let's it down. Fir Park - An ugly hodgepodge of weirdly proportioned stands and a squinty pitch. Can't say I'm a huge fan. Ibrox - Once very smart but last time I went it was looking a bit rough. Can't generate the same atmosphere as Celtic Park but it's a more solidly constructed stadium with a bit more character. Again, for away fans it's not the best but better than Celtic Park. Victoria Park - Never been. McDiarmid Park - Awful colour scheme, awful location and a fairly mediocre stadium overall. I like the gradient of the main stand but the rest is meh. St Mirren Park - Very boring. Preferred Love Street. However, the capacity is ideal for a club like St Mirren. Decent atmosphere. -

Had a better defence in front of him. Sarkic is a better goalie. I always thought Kelly was overrated due to being young and Scottish. -

I like Lamie but as people have said, there are several others ahead of him in the pecking order for LB (he's never a fullback) and CB just now. Still a useful player to have in the squad. I would keep him.
