  1. Spencer injured for Saturday. My team would be

                          Long

    Bisland Donaldson Lang Mccann

               Yeats Henderson

       Morrison Agyeman Miller

                      Maciver

Try to get 2/3 up as soon as at all possible and then get Lawal Nesbitt Mackie Allan on. Ross too but think he's not allowed to play by Raith.

  2. I would have to question the talent of the scouting profession if they’d only realised the qualities Morrison possesses now. He’s been largely very good in 3 years worth of teams that have been complete and utter shite. You could’ve got him on small wages for about 50k transfer fee 2 years ago.

Unless Morrison goes to England there's a chance we might keep him if we go up.  Would imagine we'll be able to compete with most championship club wages next season.  Not sure he's good enough to consistently play in the premier and teams will be very aware he's mostly up against sh*te in league 1.

I think that’ll be the case for lots of our players tbh. Go up and we have every chance of keeping anyone we want. Stay down and it’ll be tough to keep the best 3/4 (without even thinking about the part time possibilities that would be looming)

  4. Edinburgh were an abomination the last time we played them but since the new lad has taken over (whatever you think of him) they have drawn at Hamilton and won a league game. Something that looked vaguely beyond them a month ago. That means I’d take any sort of victory, which would guarantee remaining at least 3 points clear at the top of the table which would suit me just fine!

  5. I’d also be looking to get Allan away in January. This is mainly because Mcglynn’s system, which we know he will not differ from, brings out nothing from Allan. If Maciver is injured we’d have to change the whole setup of the team as Allan cannot play the lone role. I’d therefore be very much in the market for a player who can do that.

  6. Afc Wimbledon v Cheltenham in FA Cup “Round 1” on Saturday for me. Tenner for a ticket and think the attendance was around 5k.

Wimbledon, who have been on a pretty dismal run stretching for a season or 2 were far better than expected and 5-1 didn’t flatter. Lots of beer and food on the concourse around the ground. Impressed with the set up. Ramsgate at home in the next round is a perfect draw and *should* see them through to the big round 3, where prem teams join.

So this "well-known angst of the Falkirk support" is really no more "well-known"or pronounced than that of pretty much every other home support?

    Cheers for confirming

Get yourself down to row E of the main stand when it’s 0-0 after 15 minutes v Edinburgh in a week. You’ll change your tune!!

I think your first point is the main one by some distance - the teams in recent seasons have been so poor that “home advantage” makes little, or no, difference. I think that goes most of the way to solving the mystery.
I suppose you could add that if dissatisfied grumbling is as bad as it generally gets then the players know that they can get away with murder. Kind of like being under not enough pressure rather than too much. Whether it would make any difference if they knew the fans would get on their case, I don’t know.

Pretty much fully agreed with this. For years there I was trying to figure out some reason our home form was so disgusting. A hostile “large” home crowd meaning an inexperienced bunch of decent players played poorly? Something about coming to our ground that away teams relished? An aging plastic pitch we couldn’t play “our style” on? Etc etc?

Nah. At this level, appoint a decent manager/coach who will bring in either a good squad or a decent squad who’ll want to work for him, and by god the home form takes a huge upturn. Shock.

And ours was out at 10pm compared to Falkirk TV's midnight. I like to think in the end that's the victory I need😅

I had a look at your exchange on twitter. I still don’t know who’s right. Guess it depends on what the definition of “new media” is? Rules are confusing and conflicting it seems

Do you have the link? August 2018 lost 0-3? Tried to find it and can only find Falkirk TV version. I was one of the very many Falkirk fans giving Dobbie a standing ovation that day. It was simply because it was a pleasure to see someone who had genuine quality at that time, we were so starved of watching decent football. I remember him looking up at the main stand when he came off shocked to see the home fans clapping him when getting beat 3-0

This one. Seriously grim viewing, but given we’re in a decent place atm one I can almost laugh at
