Thought Dixon handled the defensive side quite well today, but nothing came from his side due to McManus more often being in the middle of the park than the wing. I was getting a bit pissed off with McManus but credit where it's due, after the penalty he could have just decided to down tools but he bucked his ideas up instead, put in a shift and scored a good goal.

We  moved the ball around quite well once we the game was safe but I'd have liked to have seen Tidser on for Gomis when the result was beyond doubt as Gomis tired noticeably.

Gomis has tired every game after 60 mins. Not a slight on the guy, he’s almost always our best player for the first 60, but he should never ever be getting the full 90.

Still, a fairly satisfying win and raith’s away form problems never look too far away (maybe the same can be said for us too).

Not quite. We had a season of utter dugmeat in our first season back down. Remember Mehdi Khalis, Ross Perry, Doctor Deuchar, Jason Marr? (shudder). Last straw for me was after losing 4 goals 3 times in the space of about 4 or 5 weeks against Dumbarton, Partick and Cowdenbeath.

Christ you’re right, I’d forgotten about that entire season. Mark Stewart leading the line

Things are bad enough without you starting a whole new argument on that dunce Pressley. At the time, the standard of football was horrendous. He should’ve been punted along with Eddie May, and then definitely punted after relegation from the Premier. He then failed to get us promoted the following year yet was rewarded with a new 3 year contract by Ritchie. My eyes literally bled watching Falkirk under him.

He should probably have been punted after relegation. Probably. But we then had 6 months of great fun with Farid, Higginbotham and kids challenging at the top of the championship? I know it didn’t work out and it became very stale with him but your boycott of the club early that season definitely points to you just throwing a bit of a huff at the club not doing exactly what you wanted it to do...

All valid points. I think the only way I can answer your last point is by saying I never thought I’d see the day where I point blank refuse to step foot in The Falkirk Stadium or refuse to spend a penny that will go into the Clubs coffers until now. I’m not trying to blow smoke up my own arse because I know full well there are plenty others who are every bit as passionate and loyal as I am, but for me it’s as low as it’s ever been. Downing tools when the going gets tough isn’t normally what I do. I threatened to stay away when Ritchie rewarded that fraud Pressley with a new 3yr contract but was back again 3/4 weeks later because it’s what I do. It’s different this time - I haven’t renewed our ST’s, I haven’t been back through the doors once since May, I haven’t bought my son the strip or the tracksuit as I do every season. I’ve stuck to my guns and I’ll continue to do so until there is change because I cannot accept what the current imposters have done to our Club any longer. I guess in my head the club feels as dead to me right now as it ever has, and I don’t feel like I’ve got anything to lose. Don’t expect everyone to agree with that logic but it’s the best I can do in terms of trying to explain it.

I get the logic, disillusioned so far that you’d rather give the club to absolutely anyone than the current BOD. If you can step back and look beyond that, at the greater problems that would occur if MC was to get control, you’d see that it can actually still get worse. A lot worse. Also staying away when Pressley got a new contract was a bit weird...

Yes I was satisfied, and I’m saying that as someone who like you, wants nothing but the best for club. He gave me an answer for every concern I had. I’m still cautious but that’s a given considering what’s at stake. We’re all at risk of getting into tit-for-tats with one another on this forum, I’m as guilty of biting back as anyone, but genuinely, have you contacted him directly to ask him for yourself? If you do, and you’re still not satisfied then that is entirely your prerogative and I’d fully respect that.

Can you share with us these comments by him that have relaxed your fears? Please? I genuinely want to know.

You’re so wrong about this being personal against Mark Campbell. It’s not. It’s the opposite. I want nothing more than for our cool new Jeans and trainers wearing owner to see us up the divisions, build a 4th stand, reinstate the academy. It would be incredible, MC would be a hero. It just isn’t gonna feckin happen. Agreeing with monkey tennis, again, as someone who seems to follow the club as much as I do, home and away, with it meaning everything to us, how can you be so reckless with it’s future???

It's okay it's called the International Break. It is totally depressing and horrible but It will be over in just over a week.

Unfortunately we get another one in November then we get a break from the break.

Only ones that are happy just now are the fancy dress wearing Tartan Army hen party goons.

Don’t think we have another international break thankfully. Due to play all weekends from what I can see once the Scottish cup draw is made

    Totally agree.

Conversely, Falkirk are in a similar position to where we were re; Arbroath and last season!! Will they take the same view, "aye, we'll catch them, nae bother"

What pleases me is that no Raith fans, so far, are daftly claiming we are over the line!!

Aye cos you’re 2 points ahead in October you total weirdo

  8. Anyone else really worried about the fitness of that team? Almost every single game we’re fucked after 60 - fitness staff (do we have that or is that all Ray and Darren Taylor) need to take a look at themselves. Only full time team, should be a massive advantage but it’s the exact opposite atm. What a fucking riddy, almost every Saturday night left with complete frustration atm

  9. Fourth stand, why does this guy deserve a chance with OUR club? What in the past makes you think he will be successful (for the first time in his entrepreneurial career from what I can see) at our club? He is dangerous. If he gets it wrong - as his track record suggests is his thing - the results could be catastrophic. Why on earth does he deserve any sort of “chance” with us?

I don’t have any agenda, but its time some truths were told.

Since MC was announced as preferred bidder, we as fans have been drip fed story after story, nearly all of which can be traced back to BtB one way or another.

    So let’s talk agendas...

This is pretty much worthy of a ban imo. Guy with a CLEAR agenda, possibly a boardroom member or friend/family comes on here, pretends to be a neutral average fan, and lies about what has come out about MC, claiming it was the fans group who created ALL stories about MC even though they were in public domain. Genuinely abhorrent, we should be jumping down this guy’s throat

I had been give knowledge of the 2010 bankruptcy about 3 or 4 weeks ago, lets be honest it wasn't too hard to find,  just wondering why it took so long for others who presumably knew this too, to dump it in here and in the public domain? id be amazed if BPM, BTB etc had no knowledge of this weeks ago, prob months now, especially if they have found 31 failed businesses, why keep that quiet? these kind of games don't help anyone, if anything it just pisses off more real fans looking for answers and not agendas

Why didn’t you put it on here weeks ago then? The not so tech savvy fans would’ve had no chance of finding it, seems important given he seems close to having the keys to the club??

    Thanks.

I live and breath my football club and I have exactly the same fear.

That’s just it. Imagine a life without football and Falkirk together. Of course we can’t know for sure how this’ll turn out if Campbell gains control, I’m not sure you do either. But to have some very real and obvious concerns weirdly turned away by a lot of fans (or plants, aliases etc) has been tough to watch. Let’s hope the current MSG get over their gripe with the fans and do the right thing )the first step of which is to reject the Campbell bid)

  13. Absolutely incredible that back post misses’s attempts to spread the word about how terrible this guy could be to the future of our club has been met with accusations of “shit stirring”. Let’s hope the deal dies so my current emotion of pure fear can turn to pure fucking anger at whoever has let this mess of a bid get this far

  14. With McKinnon in charge this is the type of game we are utterly doomed for. You’ll want it more and win 1 or 2-0, at best we’ll scrape a 1-1 draw. It’ll be as poor as it was at Starks a few weeks ago with Raith fans coming away saying our team hasn’t got a hope of going up playing like that. As others have said, wake me up in May (or when Raymondo gets the bullet)

So, we are no longer a“good community club etc.“, because, wait for it.. you‘re not happy with our banter on Pie & Bovril?
    Hahaha!!!!

Your idea of club rivalry is desperately trying to get the Pars to hate you! Even the Pars cannae be bothered with you.

Nah. Was looking forward to a decent game against a club who I previously thought were sound. Turns out almost every single EF fan who has posted on here has turned out to be a total freak. Not much I can do about it sadly
