  1. Similar to last week, end to end. stuff. I enjoyed that.. A couple of Prima donnas on both sides. AR brought a good crowd. Good craic with some of them. Don’t think that will be our starting 11 on Tuesday.
  2. Glad to see Kai hit the ground running on his return to DUFC. Stirling fans were disappointed on his recall. I realise there is a huge gulf between Premier and League 2, but I feel he could make a difference to your season. While at Stirling the first 45 mins were normally his best. The last time I was so impressed with a loanee at Forthbank, was a guy called Snodgrass.
  3. Little reminder Digital Young Person of the Year – sponsored by Glasgow City Innovation District Ben McAdam – Stirling Albion FC – Winner
  4. With 75 played. My mate said there is still goal/s in this game. We couldn’t decide whether Stirling or Stennie would score. Stennie fans, don’t beat yourselves up. Some good players at Ochilveiw and it’s early days.
  5. This is not a must win game. Early days in the campaign and all teams will continue to drop points. DY may blood fresh players ?? Look forward to seeing our ball players on plastic. To avoid any confusion, Stirling dressing room, will be playing for a win.
  6. Salivating at the thought of a Bobbie Brown pie. Bearing in mind Ochilveiw is about to be hit by a red tsunami. Warriors could don pinny’s and keep us feed.
  7. Bright and sunny over Forthbank at present, but wrap up. Best defence in league against a rejigged and improved Stirling mid field. I feel, in recent games, we have played our best football in the 1st 45mins. Hope the speed merchants aren’t affected by the heavy ground.
  8. I am passed the ideas stage. Will enter into a partnership with my friends in the west. D. Yatt and Sons. I’ll still fleece them.
  9. Is there a charge for the car park and, if so, how much is it? business opportunity here for someone. What would you be willing to pay? £3 x 100 motors. For 30 mins work. I’m sure I have a hi viz vest and a raffle book somewhere.
  10. First report card of the season in, and I’m reasonably happy. Listening to DY he has things in hand. Unlike recent L2 seasons, we could have numerous teams chasing top two positions. Tasty.
  11. Early days, but we always like good news stories at Fothbank. Noticed Arbroath have Mason Hancock on loan from Aberdeen. Stirling had him on loan last season and he hardly put a foot wrong. Hope he has similar success in Championship.
  12. Stennie fans housed in east stand with sun in their eyes. Then should miss the horrors as they unfold on field. Remember SF 30. Or apply liberal amounts of pie grease to your fizzog.
  13. I feel we are in a relegation battle already. Late entry on Saturday I therefore missed the goals. The game I watched was fairly even, high tempo but lacked any excited. DY summed it up perfectly. His frustration was obvious. Unlike DY I can be selective in the matches I attend. I won’t be in attendance on Saturday. No disrespect to EC , but allow me a small protest. Similarly, EC had a sticky start. If someone can find the back of the net that might be enough for a win.
  14. Just done some arithmetic. Cowden. M Ross. 0.958pts/game Stirling. D Young 0.947pts/game thank goodness for KR.
  15. I’m on the far side of Dunoon. Warm and sunny. Not a snawba’s chance in hell of me appearing at Forthbank tomorrow. EC fans all the best in PO’s. Your there on merit. Re your manager change, in mid- march, good/bad? His record is just a little better than DY’s. If your promoted, It will of course, be the shrewdest move the clan has ever made.
  16. Surprise, surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed that match. Kelty had most of the ball, but Stirling had more goal scoring chances. Stood beside a Cowdenbeath fan 1st half, they flip/flop. We agreed SA had three chances early on. He also mentioned, he had watched the worst game of his life last week. A fact echoed mentioned by others. Yesterday looked a fast free flowing game. Plastic possibly gives that impression. Standing at a barrier, so close to pitch, makes for an intense bear-pit atmosphere. Re Kelty party trick. Ball goes into stand, occupied by Kelty upstarts. One cheeky youngster retrieves ball and holds it over barrier for McGeachie. As McGeachie approaches, satan's spawn throws ball up the side-line. If youngster contacts SA, I'm sure Ross could thank him personally. Yes big deep pockets. Question on loanees. SA have Mason Hancock while Kelty have Kieran Ngwenya. Both on loan from Aberdeen and playing similar positions. Both cracking players. Big deep pockets, how you use it, plus cross your fingers and hold on tight.
  17. at forthbank. Tick in the box re grounds (how sad). Will hopefully engage in conversation with some locals and find their secret to success. Pie an’a pint and top up tan.
  18. Started in 2 games where defenders were red carded. He was subbed to bring on a replacement defender. So he is not having much luck when he starts. He’s still lively and likes to be involved. Might get a goal out of him this Saturday.
  19. A bit harsh. I felt entertained. But there again I have watched some dire games this season. If Muir had taken any or all of his golden chances, SFC would have been out of sight. Roberts, in Stirling midfield, doesn't know when to give up. Gained possession. Lost it. Regained it. Lost it, then regained ball again. Hope, for his sake, McGregor's injury isn't too bad. Re SFC manager late appearance and refs refusal to let him walk across pitch as play was about to begin. Hand in pocket, probably chews gum. Reminded me of Barry ( I'm too big for this club/league ) Ferguson.
  20. 10 v 11 Stirling looked more likely to win match. Thought Stirling should have been down to 9 on 55 mins. Scorer composed himself well. Even AR won 50/50 draw. Spend wisely Mandy.
  21. Part time/Full time. I think it was when Paul Hartley managed Alloa on a part-time basis. Some observers mentioned he was putting in more hours than full time managers. Was KR not prone to taking in other games and watching endless videos i.e. full time. In the national game we have a full time manager with a part time squad. Confusing???? How boards/selection panels separate the Fergie's from the Walter Mitty's, who knows.
  22. Firstly, well played and worthy win for Annan. Thought , without being a classic, 1st half was competitive with few chances. Good 1st goal. 2nd half Annan upped the tempo and we hung on. Hoped, with a bit of luck, we might salvage something. Goals 2&3 were sucker punches. 3rd goal well taken, leaving SA central defenders blaming each other. 2nd goal. When a striker fails to control a ball to his feet on the halfway line, I am left wondering. Ball quickly ended up close to corner flag. Embarrassingly early tackle allowed cross, resulting in goal. SA other twin striker shared in my wonderment. Much finger pointing. What DY wouldn't have seen was after his substitution. SA striker chose to sit in isolation in the stand. I could see he had a stinker, team-mate thought he had a stinker and he knew he'd had a stinker. Perhaps we should try him working from home. Possibly Annan's GK easiest shift this season. Ref had a good match, in a game I didn't think we could win. Can you tell I'm clutching at straws, to remain positive.
