Would take him for cover at LB at a push but do we need any more defenders that's the thing? I know Page and Kane will be missing through injury still but surely we got plenty with those two that won't feature this weekend for sure.

Yeah I don't think he'll get much games in your First team but sounds a right prospect and his dad being a footballer having just recently joined you guys from his dad's Blackburn team in June but has he not signed on one year deal though following that trial? But i suppose if Kerr impressed he got his extension by being on form with us, so I think it would help his development.

From what I seen yesterday we definitely need and short of a forward or two possibly bringing in a loan keeper even at short term till January or something. Millar had a good game in centre of the park. Number 3 also had a good game at left back before he was taken off at H/T but I think once players are back defence and midfield is pretty there just short upfront in final third.

I quite liked that idea we had regarding squad numbers hopefully it's back and they sort out who's who as they'll have numbers anyway's.

What a week it's been seeing five new signings in three days wow, I'm happy with the squad we have put together and the one's resigned over the summer. the squad looks more of a team, otmistic ahead of the new season and getting behind the team and the management. Brilliant

Looks like someone already beat me to it, as much as Kane and watson who can play centre half and in midfield so can docherty from the left side is a bonus for injuries we had towards the end of last season some are still recovering from last season, it's good to know that the playing squad has got a number of options where the playing squad can play and rotate so that's a plus this summer than we had last summer. But Page does need a partner so a centre back was crucial as we need someone to fill the gap left from Jason Kerr weather Watson, Kane is the answer or not it's nice to have options for places elsewhere in the team but I would add another forward player and the squad there or thereabouts.

Well that's right back area sorted in the playing squad. I still think signing a centre back is priority on our books an area lacking mostly, Will Page be fit for the group games also...hopefully!

Nice wee ground, tonight was a typical pre-season affair on a wet Tuesday evening. Mutch, Duggan, Willis (playing off the strikers at times) and Reilly (on wide right) were the stand outs but in my eyes Kane plays better at right back than in centre midfield. I feel we miss do miss Page at centre back his solidness and the number 5 looked good minus the slip in second half that he got away with it before been replaced by player/manager and we're missing bit creative from Wilkie and Smith I hope to see them back soon. Sparky was do much running about I noticed from left back wearing number 3 I guess he's our corner kick specialist since we don't have Nicki Paterson around. As for the forwards I feel we do need bring in one to add to our attackers.

Luke played really well at hampden defensivly at right back and going forward, still contracted at Motherwell. As for Kieran I was shocked he was included in the players released by Smith at the end of the season, thought he played well even at centre back and as right full back would be happy to see him return if true. Looking at the squad still think right back is full for cover? But duffie could do both position mention....

Just realised my mistake...oops!! 14 quite good number but I'm sure there more to come lacking a few areas i.e. another goalie, Centre back, another striker and another creative midfielder to replace Robinson/Curran would take another left sided player defensively but that's me being greedy.... T-bone and I wonder if Gordon's whereabouts will be confirmed over the pre-season?

Having listened to the interview last week I'm I right in saying pre-season training starts this Thursday? Hopefully there's some news regarding assistant and player wise as we're a bit short in position wise with only three new arrivals.

Lowland League champions East Kilbride have targeted Billy Stark after Martin Lauchlan departed as team boss, but the former Scotland Under-21 manager could rejoin Darren Young at East Fife having worked with their manager at Albion Rovers. (Scottish Sun, print edition) Would be happy to see either as assistant manager, Martin is a young man proved himself as manager of Rossvale and EK while Billy has vast amount of experience and has worked with Young before. Also I see us linked with Mark Docherty aswell as Raith & Stranraer in the Courier.

Worth a try has worked under McGhee, would be like a strikers coach in terms of being assistant.

Delighted with this. I hope assistant can help him maybe Billy Stark that worked with him at Albion or someone he knows that'll will help him in coaching.
