  1. The Ivo Den Bieman interview on the podcast is a good on he comes across very well. They also mention his only goal for Falkirk which was fucking fantastic if you were in the away stand at East End that day. Scott Mckenzies was quite special too.
  2. It's very easy for stewards to pick on small supports, there is no real danger for them. When the glasgow mobs come to Falkirk they can do what they want. The stewards are far too shit scared to get involved.
  3. Can only assume they were over officious arseholes. They have form for that and are twats to the home support too.
  4. Goal of the decade? I was in the South Stand directly in line with Leahy's half volley v Hibs in the playoff. I could see the moment it left his boot it was in, a perfect strike. No keeper could have saved it. There was a token dive by Fatty Foulkes in the Hibs goal but he was beaten the second Leahy connected with the ball.
  5. There were fantastic times at Brockville and it was where I first saw Falkirk at Andy Nicols testimonial and miss it mostly because I went as a kid and grew up there but the two most grim games I saw were there. Arbroath pumping us 3-0 and Clyde pumping us 6-1 When Falkirk do have a decent team and win important games the new ground can generate a great atmosphere. The playoff semi v hibs, beating old rangers in the league cup and beating Hearts in the league cup, Gows goal v the fifers in the last minute were all brilliant and generated a great atmosphere. We just need an exciting team.
  6. Some of them can be describing the goal for a good 10-15 seconds before you're sure which team scored it. At least with Sandra you can always tell instantly if its a goal for QOS or against them by her pitch. Derek Ferguson would be terrible at the board game Articulate.
  7. The English version seems open to interperatation of the chosen var refs I only watch match of the day so haven't seen too much of it but there have seemed to have been a lot of contentious decisions.
  8. It will just lead to either half of the old firm demanding to know the primary school and full family background of the people that make the calls every time a decision they have been conditioned to expect to go for them goes against them.
  9. The Alex Totten interview on the hope street podcast is a decent listen. He is a Falkirk legend and it was fantastic to hear hin recall Kevin James equaliser v Celtic in the semi final which is probably my highlight of supporting Falkirk that moment was sheer joy. My dad was only 5 in 57 so missed that and had waited over 40 years to see Falkirk compete in a semi final he was the most reserved guy in the world but lost his shit when that went in. He died aged 61 but I will never forget how mental the celebration at that goal was.
  10. I still have no idea what Mutch was complaining about at the equaliser. Comfortable for most of the game Mcmanus needed a goal after all his efforts and chances Dixon played well. Toshneys passing is woeful, Durnan still looks dodgy, hard to judge much on that game but the second half showed signs of promise.
  11. Good on him. I didn't hear that. I was ready to fire off an email.
  12. How could a team with Scott Nisbet, Bomber Brown and Gary Mcswegan not have conquered europe if not for those pesky frogs and their cheating.
  13. An unforgivable mistake yesterday from Tam Cowan. He was talking about kids tv describing the sublime Jossy's Giants as 'the one that starts with the trombone playing and the kid going down the slide' . That was the depressing programme Johnny Briggs. I can handle the numerous football mistakes but that is beyond the pale.
  14. Cosgrove is the worst out of them. He regularly gets things wrong then spits the dummy if anyone texts in to correct him. He comes across as quite petty. I still listen to it in the background and will continue to but it isn't ageing well.
  15. Great win for Airdrie and thoroughly deserved from what I've seen but I don't think Falkirk supporters believe the league is beneath them. The general consensus is that with the budget and the players it has been a shitshow of a season and the team should be doing much better. It is gross incompetence at all levels that has Falkirk here and with the relative resources and wages as a full time club we are stinking the place out. Mckinnons style of football is tepid piss.
  16. Tried Fishers In The City on Thistle Street in Edinburgh yesterday. The food was excellent and the set lunch menu is great value. Had the fish soup then Penang curry with prawns and coley and thai prawn crackers then creme brulee. Brilliant service as well.
  17. John Lambie, came into a club that had finished two points off europe immediately said that season was a fluke and we had a relegation battle ahead. Swapped our best players for shite played long ball football and in a single year destroyed everything Jeffries had built.
  18. Not a player for Falkirk but I remember seeing Marvin Andrews play for Raith against Falkirk, not sure if it was his debut but I thought he was the worst footballer I'd ever seen I was laughing at him. Shows what I know. I'm sure Raith had a player that day Javari(?) they had signed from Barcelona B who was godawful too.
  19. That season must go down as the most bizarre in Falkirk's history. The John Clark thing, Chris Waddle, the return of Totten, mid table mediocrity and a scottish cup final.
  20. Sabatiano De Massis. I was excited at the time that Eammon Bannon had signed an italian for Falkirk. I think he played 30 minutes and was awful.
  21. The first time I saw an Andy Gray long throw from halfway up the pitch into the box was a genuine wtf moment.
