  1. He also seems to suggest by that interview that Frear is still in his plans as well, be interesting to see who the couple are that he wants to move on.
  2. Yeah was my tweet lol saying that I am surprised but delighted that we appear to be landing a player of McCormacks quality and going by Robinsons interview after the game he wants to bring in attacking players that will change the way we play which will be more positive.
  3. That's a good point actually and I read a quote recently from Craigan saying none of the coaches or players were asked about their thoughts switching back to reserves it seemed to be this is what's happening and just had to deal with it.
  4. I see Robinson is saying on the STV sport page that we will be offloading some squad players and promoting some of the younger ones to the first team, was this not what we should've done in the summer to start with. He claims with the budget he had he didn't think he could improve the starting 11.
  5. No Idea, I wish I was at the game, sounds like we have absolutely destroyed them
  6. We are currently 3-0 up after 21 mins as well, sounds like we are on fire this afternoon! Scott, Newell and Rehman with the goals
  7. I can see a few departures coming in January mostly to some squad players who aren't getting a lot of game time whilst also promoting a few of the younger ones, I think there was an element of we have several youngsters the manager rates but felt for one reason or another they were nowhere near physically ready for our first team that's why I think we brought in a few to more or less improve the strength in numbers rather than quality. Robinson has said recently he will be putting the younger ones in one at a time, with Turnbull now currently there I reckon we will see the likes of Maguire, Mbulu, Livingstone and maybe Hastie if he comes back from his loan in January, by all accounts done very well at alloa, and being naturally left sided might give us a wide player other than Frear to play.
  8. Seems that way, one thing I took from his interview that was posted on the club social media channel was there's no chance he will divert away from the 352 system.
  9. It was me who posted about Nadir, mostly for the sarcasm but he'd be a far better option than Sammon. Nadir is currently plying his trade in the Turkish 1st division and has 3 goals in 6 games to his name as it stands.
  10. Both were training with the first team today, Robinson likes both of them and I still believe their chance will come but only if someone gets injured and that allows them to stake a claim.
  11. Thought yesterdays performance was much more encouraging particularly first half after a slow 5 mins, we grew into the game and actually played some decent stuff at times that allowed the likes of Bigi and Gorrin to make passes. Thought Main was much sharper looking yesterday and did well to set up Johnsons goal, I doubt Sammon would've been able to pick out that pass personally. Second half was a bit more of a non event but Campbell nearly scored a brilliant goal which came back off the post, livi had more of the ball during the second half but they never really tested Carson. Overall much more positives than negatives compared to last week, lets try to build on this and string a few results together in the league.
  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/45144011?__twitter_impression=true Manager saying he's now content with the squad which sounds like its unlikely we will make any further signings. Interesting to note he speaks of Barry Maguire being able to play defence and in midfield.
  13. Funnily enough it's Wigan v Preston on October 6th, the fanboys have a big decision to make as we are also at home to Livingston that day lol.
  14. I can see Hartley being dropped tonight, with McHugh going into the back 3 with Kipre and maybe Donnelly. Campbell Rose and Cadden would be my middle 3 same as last week with Edinburgh City, hopefully Frear can continue from where he left off if picked tonight. Would like to see Bigi or Gorrin get some game time tonight but I guess that will depend on how we are doing tonight.
  15. Pleased to see Shea Gordon get off to a good start with Partick, he bagged both goals in their win against Stenhousemuir today. Ross Maclean also got a start for Morton against Ayr Utd
  16. We got nothing for Leitch, however from what I was told Robbie Leitch was offered a new deal by us but knocked it back in favor of signing for Burnley, There was one or two rumours at the time that the club messed him about and he messed us about but the only person who can answer that truthfully is Burrows himself. Robbie looking back should've probably remained with us as he could've potentially be in and around our first team by now as well.
  17. Winnable tie for our youngsters, away tie as well, so will be good to see how they handle the pressures of playing against senior pros. I know Craigan is very much a fan of this tournament as he feels it helps the development of the younger players playing against players who are perhaps more physically stronger and the results matter to them on a weekly basis.
  18. I don't think any player who was at accies last season including Crawford would improve our squad, the article of us being linked with Crawford smacks of desperation from his agent to drum up attention from clubs down south for him. I personally we can and would get better from our usual market of looking down south than a team who finished below us in the league and only stayed up on goal difference,
  19. Yeah I heard something about a reserves league next year with an u18s format as well
  20. Glad Hendrie is gone, he was woeful and wont be missed. The players released are exactly as expected no real shocks there, hopefully we can Aldred permanently but it will be interesting to see who else Robinson brings in.
  21. I'd expect all of them to go but with Aldred possibly coming back permanently
  22. The chat I've heard is Hibs are keen to sign Crawford, accies fans ive spoken too aren't bothered, they claim he's been rubbish for over 2 years now. I personally wouldn't take any accies players at the moment who I think would drastically improve the squad.
  23. I think its fairly likely we will sign another striker who will come in and provide competition for Main and Bowman, but most likely to play alongside Main and Bowman off the bench I wouldn't be surprised to see that. In terms of players going, I don't think we will sell many in this window, Kipre has had a lot of clubs watching and I believe we will cash in on him this summer and make a rather substantial profit which for me would let us sign Aldred permanently. A good couple of wide players needed one for the left and right to create chances. I fully believe we can be a top 6 club next season. I know your not a huge fan of Robinson's style of football but the last full season under McCall where we finished 2nd we were abysmal for most games but took our chance when it mattered to win games. As long as we get results then it doesn't bother me how good or bad the style of play, it's a results driven business for managers.
