  1. Outrage shift - disgrace if it’s off - now we are at disgrace it’s on. Never change you bunch of simpletons.
  2. This is absolutely glorious - simpletons outing themselves left right and centre. Now a young squad bolstered by loans being targeted as financial doping (I do believe tongue in cheek by the OP) and the dribbling morons piggy backing on it. Box office
  3. I’m heading up to dens with a huge extension plug and my hairdryer - we will be fine. Joking aside - the only people I have any sympathy for are Motherwell and their fans - it is shite - but it’s clearly not something we have a huge degree of control over and it can’t be said we haven’t made reasonable attempts to get this on. Scortish football is all about sporting integrity though - so I’m sure all would agree that demands we don’t cede home advantage to a direct top 6 rival this close to the split as it would put us at a significant sporting disadvantage and would indeed be unprecedented.
  4. No-one wants your use of logic and precedent. Itz a pyoor disgrace and DunDeE shood be fyned, docked points, relegated and made to attend a greenkeeping course at Dundee College.
  5. There is a ref based in Dundee - Fordyce - he was involved in the Sevco call off too. Presume he would’ve been used Thursday.
  6. It’s absolutely brilliant watching Boredom and this random Arab jumping up and down shouting “punish them, punish them” Bitterness ripping out of every pore. Short memories as well as I’m certain not too long ago there was a problem corner in Tannadice that saw numerous games called off in a season and McDiarmid is basically arable land better suited for tatties. Dens as recently as 3/4 years ago was an exemplar pitch - yes it now has some issues - but 2 of the 4 call offs were named storms where games were off up and down the country. 2 additional call offs are hardly the end of the world, 3 is annoying but not unprecedented
  7. You just gonna keep going further back every time you get bammed up? Presumably stoping somewhere in the 80s of course. I genuinely hope Utd get promoted as your board are clueless enough to keep Goodwin employed whilst the Dens board were savvy enough to bullet our manager despite promotion. Will make for hilarious viewing watching that imbecile chuck money you don’t have trying to build a squad and manage them in the top tier again - then watching whichever successor they appoint after the window closes try and keep Goodwins squad afloat whilst backed by a roaring crescendo from the fans. We welcome the chase. Thank you.
  8. Enough to go up as champions. How many points did you get in the big league last season? Thank you.
  9. Ugh - this is a difficult topic… I think I straddle the “Gens” as they call them now - catching the back end of where men were men, football was football and your private life was your private life but also right on the cusp of the generation where men can be women, offending people is not ok ever, football is an entertainment business and everything everyone does is plastered over social media. My take is that people don’t want to offend anyone almost entirely because of social media. They say it’s because they are more open minded etc, but the reality is they know that at any time, anywhere now you could be being recorded and live streamed somewhere, or any comment you make verbally or in writing becomes an almost immediate public record and you will be judged and shunned by whole communities, cities, countries or globally depending how badly you fucked up. My main opinion on this topic is that football is an escape for so many from their own lives and maybe they don’t want a constant reminder of the mortality of man - they just want to back their team, scream and shout obscenities and be passionate and joyful! My other opinion is that this “shared grief” is another way to garner attention online or on local media for people where now being seen is everything. Your dad/brother/wife/mother loves the club so much? Scatter their ashes at the ground privately or mention it at their eulogy where people who know them and loved them are present - don’t force your grief onto others who are out to try and have a good time and switch off from their lives at the football. I know when my old man or god forbid my kids shuffle off their mortal coil I’ll stand at Dens with a tear in my eye, with my “Dens Park Family” we have sat with for years and remember them jumping down 2 rows and breaking their ankle, or screaming at the ref so much they had to take a seat cos they got lightheaded and pay my own personal respects. I don’t need the guy 2 rows down he landed on to be forced into clapping for him - they both think each other are arseholes - and usually remind all and sundry of their opinion on each other at least once a season - generally when we are getting beat.
  10. Knee was raised to protect him - was within the mass of his upper body - had he not raised it presumably saints player runs right into him and there’s a risk of injury. Well within his rights to protect himself. Would query WTF the saints player was trying to achieve tbf.
  11. Sensitive bunch - thought you’d be a bit happier after eventually remembering how to win.
  12. I didn’t say it was a problem - merely an observation.
  13. Further evidence the Utd support is mainly women and children.
  14. Interested to hear what you think he got wrong. I mean I get you lost and are thrashing round looking for someone to blame - but the ref should be way down that list after Levein, every player in your squad and your father who presumably set you up to support that rabble.
  15. The key part of the disallowed goal is that McGowan clearly pushes the Dundee player into the goalkeeper - forcing any perceived handling error that is highlighted before he then headers it out of the goalies hands. Regardless of opinions on the handling thereafter, the foul happens first - is blatant and the goal was correctly disallowed. The ref was excellent imo - let the game flow and didn’t mind physical challenges as long as they were fair - this seemed to upset St Johnstone fans and players - in particular their powderpuff striker who seems to think any physical contact is a foul.
  16. Having now seen it - should’ve been booked regardless of the goal I suppose. Hard to say it’s denying a clear goal scoring chance with those bodies back.
  17. If he did - and I didn’t see that from the stand so taking your word - shouldn’t he still have been sent off despite the advantage? If a player puts in a late tackle the ref will go back and book the player after the phase of play - I don’t see the difference. Not particularly passionate about it - just a query on the rules really.
  18. Genuinely impressed with the referee. Get VAR so far to f**k - why would anyone recommend ref to go look at that again. We were overall shite and still had too much for that gang.
  19. I’d like to use the “recent memory” argument that a lot of fans want to utilise in this debate please and thanks
  20. Over the full course of both clubs histories Dundee have been on top for longer by every measure. We are in the midst of a slight blip where Utd have been on top for a brief (in club history terms) spell. The reality is both clubs are extremely similarly sized overall - as reflected in almost every measure apart from employment of sex offenders where Utd are ahead and should hopefully remain there.
  21. Death Knell for Scottish football. I may or may not know someone with a Firestick - as a season ticket holder at Dens I’ve missed 2 home games this season as I couldn’t be arsed once due to a hangover and once because I felt a little bit ill so decided to watch from the warm. If I was a PATG customer (or an away fan) I’d miss a lot more if all on TV at 3PM. Far rather sit in with a couple butchers pies and few tinnies than spend £150 every 2+ weeks to get to, into and home from away games with the kids.
  22. League 2 is a far higher standard than our league (allegedly) so I fail to see your point.
