Craig Thompson in 2012 blatantly favoured the team he supported, made the difference giving a penalty and red card at 2-1 that was a yard outside the box plus a couple of waggy fingers and no cards for his Jambo heroes lunges. I'd make them announce who they support and get in English refs or the Polish dudes from 2010 if they're not happy.

Cool, he's not a Hearts fan though.

    10. Aberdeen

    11.  Ross County

Based on their game against you, you've put Dundee United at 8 after they absolutely dominated you, below Livingston who you scudded?

    Cool

TBF it took Devlin 6 fouls to get one booking.

We also had at least two players booked for dissent, while Halliday was allowed to throw a wee hissy fit including throwing the ball about without getting booked.

No point using a Steven MacLean performance to judge anything.

Zander Clark was the only one for dissent.  The other 3 were for really poor tackles.

No argument Devlin could have been booked earlier, think he committed more fouls thanthe rest of our team put together

The Jam Tarts still cannot beat us in Perth.

Ref Mclean put in his usual Perth performance absolute mince.

We may be known as "The Fermers" but that Hearts team's style of play is certainly "Agricultural" with their fouling and pushing.

You had double the number of bookings we did

  5. Got to make more of the amount of ball we have in every game, too many awful crosses and bas choices in the final third.

I thought we were the better team overall, but we defended like idiots at bad times so you run the risk of not winning.

Big Gnanduillet did much better tonight, the less said about Halkett and Halliday the better.

Performance for the ages for MacLean today.

Played on 3 times when players are down with head knocks. Gordon handles the ball outside the box and wipes out someone with an open goal in the same move and doesn't even get a free kick awarded against him, then he tops it off by allowing a Hearts player to juggle the ball in the build to their equaliser because it hits his knee first.

    Sensational stuff.

Game feels chaotic enough for anything to happen. Love it.

Gordon did neither of those things.

I had no idea hearts record at McDiarmid was as bad as this.

Had a quick glance at the stats there, and might well have missed a couple of results, but is it right they’ve only won at McDiarmid twice this century??

2010 the last time and the other being March 2000.

Twice between 2000 and 2010, but then we never played there for what, 8 years?

Are Hearts as bad as Hibs for the "teams like St Johnstone" patter? I thought they were but so far everybody seems pretty level headed.

No place for that. Should be beating teams like Hearts IMO

Generally, we are but as a collective are so traumatised by the words McDiarmid Park that an absolute shitfest of a 1 nil victory is viewed as akin to scaling the North face of the Eiger.

I feel like this fixture at McDiarmid in the last decade has been 80% soul-destroying, could've-played-all-day-and-not-scored 1-0 defeats and 20% 3-3 draws.

Since we last won there in the league St Johnstone have six  1 nil wins, a 2-1 and a 2-0.

    There have been 2 0-0s, 2 2-2s and 2 3-3s.

All to say your feelings might not have been statistically on the money but pass the estimation test very well.

Never been into or played Subbuteo but it looks absolute shite

The refusal to play the 8 at the back, gap-free Catenaccio formation the auld timers were playing is what probably stymied my Subbuteo days.  I'm not picking Johan Cruyff as a third sweeper

But those are two players who played in a European Championship final (and a World Cup semi-final in the case of Maguire) and someone with 24 caps for Brazil. It's easy to have a go at these guys, but I reckon they'd easily get a game for any club outside of Liverpool, City and Chelsea.

Even if that's true (unconvinced it is on Fred and McTominay), Man U fans aren't going to be happy with being 4th best no matter the reality of their situation.

McTominay is a good player, he's not world class though and that's what Man U fans expect in the centre of their midfield.  He's far less of a problem than some of their players, and much less than the manager, but you're not winning the title with him in central midfield as first choice.

Think I was the only one of us screaming for it.
Enjoyed my day. Never felt we were going to get ripped a new arsehole at any point, for all Hearts possession.
Wasn’t one of Charlie’s better days but he is still quality, likewise Griffiths although thought we looked a lot more threatening with Sheridan on and thankfully Cummings did what Cummings does.
The Hearts lads are criticising their defence - I though Halkett was good and Soutar oozes class and for a CH he produced a stunning finish.
On we roll, praying we do the do on Wednesday and Hearts destroy the Lilywhites.

Wasn't criticising the defence as such, just the defending at the goal.

Overall we played OK but you've got to be better in the final third
