  1. I dont care if hes 33 or 43. He was excellent and compared to the likes of King, McMullan, Loemba, Barton et al hed be worth it. We've not had a player like for years!

The ref was stinking. We had a throw in that was turned over to you lot when our player stole a few yards. He wasnt warned to step back or anything. Then the Ayr player proceed to take the throw in from said incorrect position
Fyvie had a couple of bad tackles on him with no yellows. Same with Stanton. The ref even waved advantage on one, the ball was hoofed out, he didnt give the advantage and didnt book the player.
There were a few that went our way too. He was all round fucking awful.

The ref was fine imo, the thrown in was a foul throw not for stealing yards.
When a team loses heavily fans automatically claim that the ref was against you. We did exactly the same when we lost heavily to QOS.
  2. The best I have seen Crawford play this season was the opening game against Partick I thought him and Murdoch were a fantastic partnership Kerr has been excellent though and I think we are shoehorning Rab into the team McCall obviously rates him very highly, as for Doc I'd keep him because Kerr and Geggan aren't getting any younger and he's a really good back up for Murdoch

I understand your logic here but I just wonder if Doc is a little out of his depth at this level.
  3. I’d like another cb, and cover for gk although hare-Reid does have potential so not sure if McCall will look for cover there!

Another out and out winger- yeah but I don’t see an established championship player wanting to come in as we have got a lot of competition there. I still don’t like Crawford playing wide

Don’t see the point in using up our small budget in another goalkeeper to sit on bench. Our young goalie has been different class and if he was to get injured or had a massive dip in form then and only then would I look at a replacement.
  4.  I despise Paul Hartley for what’s he’s done to the club I love however it’s gross negligence from the board to have sat back and let this happen.
We are going down this season without a doubt. It’s unrealistic for anyone to think we have a chance after January. That would mean replacing a whole team and the new players to gel and hit the ground running immediately. It’s not going to happen.
Its fucking devastating to watch this happen.

Need to calm down a bit. Take it from a guy experienced in following a team fighting relegation over the years. You only need to out point part time Alloa to get a shot in the play offs. That might mean playing Raith which might be tricky tbf. All is not lost, yet.
  5. Seriously? For a start:
Not doing his due diligence and missing a bill from the tax man when he took us over. Might have been his dad tbf. Leading to austerity and jobbers from the juniors playing for us and managing us.
Renewing Mark Roberts contract when it was clear he was out of his depth.
Outsourcing the club shop and hospitality.
    I could go on...
As I said, I commend him for keeping us going and out of the hands of charlatans. However, his decision making has always been short term and the club has suffered because of it.

Agree with most of this but outsourcing the shop and catering was surely not a mistake? Didn’t Ronnie and Jimmy do a sterling job?
  6. In our past few visits to this league we've had a part time team of League 1  & end of career championship level journeymen, who quite frankly weren't capable of pulling off anything better than a relegation play off place, however this young up and coming team of exciting youngsters is a completely different proposition entirely.
We're now at the point where we've played everyone other than Dundee Utd & Ross County and so far we're the best team I've seen, as such anything other than a play off place minimum will be a disappointing season for me.
I'd also be looking to start tying down as many of our players as possible on extended deals with increased wages, as the cash from the Rangers game / cup run couldn't be used in any better way.
Our squad is excellent, our team spirit is excellent and our dressing room togetherness is excellent, so now is the time to kick on and make this a team for the next few years rather than just a great 6 months to a year.............

Agree with much of this for real stars; Shankland and Smith for example we should try and get extensions if at all possible.
However, you obviously weren’t at Palmerston if we’re the best team you’ve seen.
  7. True, I've been impressed at how we've come back from defeat. Especially after getting pumped by Queens then being 2 nil down to Falkirk at HT and then winning that game. This team has a lot of heart.
Inevitably we'll go on a bad run at some point but I'm confident this team will bounce back.
As for 8th place, I'm starting to aspire for more.

Yip seen enough now to think we can comfortably compete at this level. Will we win the league? Probably not, but as for top 4 why not?
