  1. Amazes me also and he’s not been much better at Stirling in my opinion. Offering him a new contract is a move I just don’t get.
  2. According to the Stirling Observer, Darren Smith has been offered a new deal and is “mulling over” it and there will also be talks with Cammy Binnie, Lee Hamilton, Peter Macdonald, Dylan Mackin & Max Wright.
  3. New signing being announced tomorrow according to Twitter.
  4. Post on the clubs Facebook page: Player Departures Further squad updates will follow in due course but at present we can confirm the following: Players released ___________________ Jordan Allan Max Ashmore Evan Horne Jason Marr Lewis McLear (invited back for pre-season training) Returning to parent clubs ______________________________ Calum Ferrie (Dundee) Ronan Hughes (Hamilton Accies) Neil McLaughlin (Motherwell) Scott Glover (St Mirren) We would like to thank those moving on for their efforts at Forthbank and wish them all the very best for the future. —————————— Not disappointed or surprised at those who have left. I’m assuming the rest have been offered something, including Max Wright [emoji33]
  5. Jordan McGregor signed on again according to Facebook reports [emoji1303]
  6. Sorry to see that EK were unsuccessful in your promotion push this season as I had been to 3 of your games this season and felt if you could get past Cove, then you would have beaten either Berwick or Albion Rovers and I stand by that. I hope you can keep your squad together and improve in certain areas and come back better and stronger next year as I do think yourself, and a few others, would be a good addition to the SPFL in a similar way to Annan and Edinburgh since their introduction/promotion.
  7. The season is over and we now wait in anticipation to see who will be coming and going from the club. Like every year, I’m sure there will be a mix of those leaving by their own accord and those that have not had their contracts renewed. With the club finishing 19 points behind the minimum expectancy of the Play Offs, then I would suspect this will be another summer of huge turn over of players. Ross McGeachie & Danny Jardine are the only First Team stalwarts that have been announced as staying so far, and in my opinion, that’s a good start. Following them are Kyle Banner and Cammy Thomson, who have been given a further year, I suspect, to continue the transition from Development Squad to First Team Player. Due to injuries Banner has played (and Captained) the side a fair amount nearer the end of the season, and both will be expected to “kick on”. Elgin City Manager Gavin Price let slip that Jordon Lowden has agreed to sign for The Binos, this would suggest that Jordan Allan has played his last game for the club but other than that there have been no other rumours with regards to signings that I’ve heard. With the players left from the squad, I would only expect another 5 or 6 to re-sign, amongst that I’m hoping we see Darren Smith, Lee Hamilton and Peter MacDonald given another year. Smith could obviously move onto another club but you get the impression he’s happy here and fingers crossed that is the case, Lee Hamilton has been plagued by injuries this season but we all know that injury free and on form, he’s amongst the best Defenders in the league and I also get the impression from the Stirling Observer that KR likes him, and since Dave Mackay was sacked, Peaso has shown he is not done and although I wouldn’t have him as a First Team regular, I think he still has a positive impact from the bench and in the dressing room, but would that be enough for him? Finally, well done to Supporters Player and Young Player of the Year Calum Ferrie, I think he’s been excellent for us this season, with Dundee being relegated, I think they could use him in the Championship, no doubt about it, but if they chose not to then it would be excellent seeing him back at the club if possible, if not then, I hope he is given a chance higher up the food chain because he certainly deserves it from where I sit.
  8. Chris Geddes was on Rock Sport Radio a couple of months back, talking about the Uni and how things work there, he rattled off a few players that he felt could kick on in the senior game and McEwan was one of those, so it could be a good signing for you.
  9. Must admit, when we rattled 5 passed you a few months back, I thought it was curtains but well done to everyone for fighting back and staying up. Delighted for everyone connected with the club [emoji1319]
  10. Thanks for spreading the news. My office is in Coatbridge and Summerlee is a stones throw away so I’ll be sure to pop in for a look.
  11. Christ it’s not a good sign if Allan is better than him as he’s been poor for us this season, in my opinion. I remember London being cracking when he was at Arbroath, hopefully we can get him playing at those levels if the rumour is true.
  12. Wow, now that’s my type of woman [emoji7]
  13. Dylan Mackin stating in this weeks SO that he would like to stay at the club for next season, which is good news. I think if you have a player like Mackin in your ranks, it goes a long way of getting you out of this league, you only have to look at Montrose (Templeman) and Peterhead (McAllistair) to see that. He’s my kind of Striker and i’ve enjoyed having him at the club, but the more he has been on the bench, the more I was beginning to think that he was going to leave in the summer, but with him looking to stay, I hope KR can sort a deal out to keep him.
  14. Good article and it would appear to be an honest interview. I had a bit of banter with both of them near the end of your 1-0 win at Forthbank a couple of weeks ago, didn’t realise who they were but they seem like top blokes and I hope they get it right.
  15. As far as I was aware, a charlatan is someone who claims to have special skills, am I right? Well if I am, and having read his Twitter account for a few years now, then I stand by the point that I made in saying he’s a charlatan.

I never released that David Verlaque was now playing for you? How has been? I liked him during his year or so at The Albion. Thought he was a decent player that Dave Mackay emptied just to put his own mark onto the team and that Verlaque had a bit to offer at this level, especially going forward.
  18. Off topic I know, but I’ve never quite understood why Phil Bardsley has been in the International wilderness for so long now. Pretty much been a regular Right Back in the English Premier League for years now.
  19. He’s doing well and I can’t think of any reason why not. When Dave Mackay was Manager he chopped and changed Goalkeepers every few weeks, stating that they were both young players and needed protected. He was then injured for about a month or so but has pretty much been Number 1 since KR took over (give or take a few of his early games). He’s a very astute Goalkeeper, who, with the exception of a kick against Albion Rovers, has been pretty error free, which is rare for someone so young. I like him and think he’s got a big future in the game. I watch him for a little while at training as well and he appears to have a great attitude. Jim McIntrye may decide to try him at a higher level next season but I see no reason why he can’t push to be first choice at Dundee and he certainly looks a better than Jack Hamilton did when he was at this level with Stenhousemuir, in my honest opinion.
  20. You always get the impression with Osolador that he could rip apart this league, he just need someone who believes in him enough for him to settle at a club. Giuliano Morena played against us for Brechin in the League Cup at the start of the season. I was really impressed with him. He and Kevin Moon were battling away in the First Half and from memory he strolled the second. Looked a player based on that 1 game.
  21. Can’t help but think that’s our season now over and we’re rebuilding for next year now. I’m sure the lads in the dressing room won’t be giving up but 10 points adrift of a Play Off spot with 10 games to go is a big ask. Over the moon with the players that KR has already resigned, especially Jardine and McGeachie, I just hope he can tie up Darren Smith and Dylan Mackin for another year at least and bring in the quality that Dave Mackay failed to sign.
  22. He’s got problems with his sight buddy, and although what he normally posts is jibberish at the best of times, posting in capitals ensures he can read it better.
  23. I think it’s been clear to see that Burke has always had something to offer, but without playing First Team football, he was never in a position to show case it. Did people over hype him early doors? Quite possibly, but that’s not the lads fault. Now he is playing regularly and, going by an outsider looking in point of view, doing a good job, then it’s only right that he should come back into our thoughts and in contention for the squad. If this continues then I think he should be looked at for a call up, not because of any hype but because his play at the highest level in domestic football warrants it.
  24. Midfielder Scott Glover signed on loan from St.Mirren until the end of the season.
