Tide Lines matinee show at The Queens Hall in Edinburgh
Wow, every time I see this band, I’m just blown away. I’ve used this section of P&B for years and I can’t believe how little chat there is about Tidelines because I think they’re simply fantastic.
This tour took the band to smaller venues, to accompany the stripped back sounds of the songs from their 3 albums. At times, the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up, as the powerful and distinct voice of Robert Robertson filled the hall. The songs were stripped back for fans to hear the finer ‘elements’ of them and to enjoy them in a calmer environment and boy how it worked.
Highlights for me were Strangers, The Last Song and Hardly Surprising, honestly unbelievable and if you are not familiar with their work, check them out on Spotify or wherever you get your music from.
Going to a matinee concert was a first for me, I actually like the experience and it’s something other bands should consider doing.
