Fair play to Kilwinning for announcing the money they got. Sets the going rate the next time they try it with another club.

No doubt the chicken man will be on claiming they missed the decimal point and it was only £120.00

Half a days trade at Black Rooster, back pocket change to Mick. Don't be jealous now lol

  2. Both divisions are very competitive this season. First Division Doune looking good but not home and dry yet, with the top 3 still not set in stone either. St Joes have been a slight disappointment, would have expected them to skoosh the First Division but maybe they aren't as strong as they have been in recent seasons.

Premier League is competitive as well with 3 or 4 teams still in the title race.

The relegation battle will go to the wire as well. Glasgow Uni look like they are away but probably any 2 from about another 5 could join them.

Although the Central Scottish is more successful in the SAFA Amateur Cup the facilities of some of the Caledonian League clubs seems to be better. Any of them thinking of moving up to the WoS in the seasons to come?

Westerlands backed off stepping up last time. Are they likely to try again sometime?

Moving up without sustainable funding in place and a long term plan is just insanity. Some clubs who have stepped up will not last.

Think Darvel will be the ones to require a good posting in having to win every single game to the end of the season. Crazy expectation in some opinions, More so when some of the Darvel fans wanted Mick sacked only a couple of months ago for not already winning every game.

How will they need to win every single game? That's assuming Talbot win 12 games on the spin from here until the end of the season as well.

No much consolation to u but pollok are the best team I’ve seen this season that darvel have played , after the first 15 minutes in the first game when we could have been 3 up you dominated the game and fully deserved the 3 points and on Saturday I think you just edged it over the piece on Saturday , having seen the highlights I don’t think Darvel’s first penalty was a penalty but the other two given were pens and if u had took ur chances the game would have been out of sight before Darren missed a great chance for darvel late on but as it was Darvel’s first game in 5 weeks a huge 3 points , still a big ask to overtake the Talbot but it’s only the amount of games that will stop it from happening as I think darvel are a better team than Talbot however they have the big support that keeps driving them on and gets them over the winning line when the chips are down

Mick's teams always finish the season strongly it wouldn't suprise me if they go unbeaten for the rest of the league campaign. Talbot will need to post a very good total to finish above them.

Most of the chat i've seen has been clubs that aren't playing are the ones losing players. With players moving to clubs participating as either signings or on loan. Others going amateur for the year.

Amateur game in the central belt has been canned.

  7. So is the Conferemce ploughing ahead with no promotion available? Can't see this being sustainable. Already heard of clubs losing players. Just think how disinterested players are going to get if they lose a few games and don't even have a wage to keep them happy.

How does it work in England at non league level who have been letting fans into games for over 2 months now without, to the best of my knowledge, any major issues.

I have been to a couple of games down there and it worked very well. Are we incapable of replicating this, why aren't clubs being given the chance?

There are a multitude of inconsistencies, a major one being outdoors in the open air watching a game of fitba whilst you can be indoors at a pub, cafe or restaurant only 1m distanced, or in a gym or swimming pool where changing rooms can be used. In fact Leitch has already said it's safe.

Whitehill Welfare tweeted last week about all the measures they have in place yet cant let anyone in. They hit the nail on the head.

The major difference? Scotland has Wee Nicola Thatcher running the show who treats football fans like they are criminals and second class citizens.

There's not been an outbreak anywhere linked to grassroots football. It's next to impossible to pass the virus on outside.

Because there's the exception made for Professional Sport. Presumably because the work stoppage would lead to breach of contracts or enforced financial losses with no financial aid.

Players aren't being paid at the moment, so that blows that theory out of the window.

  10. Why should West of Scotland Teams be handed exemptions? I would understand it if they were also being tested like they are in the SPFL. But reading this, how is it ok for West of Scotland Teams in high risk areas to play but amateur teams can't? Another note to add to the list of never ending rules and regulations that don't make sense.

An utter shambles from top to bottom.

Do you really think that pressure right now is going to work when there is talk about further restrictions?

Ireland just banned all spectators and all sport that is not at elite level. Nicola Sturgeon is always quoting what is happening in Ireland as examples for Scotland so it wouldn’t surprise me to see similar happening here.

It's basically proven that transmission of the disease is extremely difficult in an outdoor environment. Countries all over Europe have had spectators at ourdoor sporting events, didn't Dortmund have 12k in their stadium just last weekend?

Look at the hundreds of thousands of people who protested during the height of the pandemic for the BLM Movement as well. There was no increase in positive cases due to this.

The Scottish Football Authorities believe it's politically driven rather than scientific driven (the decision not to let football fans in).

Let us see the science / data that backs up that it is unsafe to let small crowds in to watch sport in a safe, outdoor environment.

I still haven't had anybody come up with a good suggestion as to what the point of playing with no fans would be, that's before you look at the financial implications of no matchday income for an unspecified period of time.

I did make a suggestion to one of our top table that we should look to start the leagues in February/March, and play right through until April/May 2022. That would give enough time to fit in the full league campaigns as originally planned for all 4 divisions/conferences, and fit in cup ties.

The virus will still be here in February/March. It will also still be here in 2022.

It's time to adapt or die. It really is that simple for the semi pro game.

More pressure needs applied to the government around letting crowds back in at that level. They love to quote ''the science'' when it suits their agenda. How many outbreaks have happened in an outdoor environment were social distance measures have been in place?
