Archie has in the past been very impressive at getting results under pressure towards the end of the season. So, i'm hanging onto that. Also, it's quite exciting, in all honesty the top six games last season were no where near as fun as the bottom six games we've played to ensure we stayed up.

Why the pessimistic view that we won't sign anyone? Many players have come in and out under Archie's reign, we need another CB so... I can't see why it won't happen. I don't expect it to be anyone amazing, given we have been forced last minute to look for options. Which might mean an average loan signing until the end of the season, better than playing people out of position every other week.

I don't think he's getting a game for Annan, maybe it's a step towards coaching for him. On the transfer side of things if Draper is out of favour I think he'd be a great signing. I also hear that Jim O'Brien also at County is likely to be out the door. Would take either/both tbh.

McCarthy has impressed me so far and would very much hope there is money for a contract for him. Really surprises me that we persisted with Barton in midfield when McCarthy was available considering Archie started him against Celtic again. Surely if good enough to play against them, he's good enough to get a start in any other game. Buzzing not to be bottom of the league though.

That's not actually a bad shout at all. When looking at what's happening right now. County got rid of Jim and aren't actually doing that much better under Coyle. Can only agree with the comments on Barton/Edwards in midfield. If Archie can't address this or worse can't see how bad it is we've got no chance.

That's embarrassing. Almost glad we didn't qualify to prove a point. Lindsay is comfortably good enough to be at least included in the squad, I don't think many would argue against him being given the chance.

Lots of positive comments about Lindsay on the Barnsley forum, quite a few mentioning they think he'll be away next summer and other saying they can't understand why is isn't in the Scotland setup. So wouldn't be surprised if Premier league teams are looking. Be nice if he went of to Italy or something and learned how the masters of defending do it and maybe transfer that over to the Scotland team.
