  1. I think he just wanted a more attacking threat and Jamieson is usually a slightly better crosser of the ball. I actually thought, whilst they were strange at the time, the period just after the changes was our best of the game and the closest we came to scoring.
  2. He didn't even do anything particularly wrong. He had one bad touch which saw him dispossessed and it was like he'd sacrificed a first born in the centre circle. There is a certain group of fans who can't accept we are doing well so they wait for a loss and unload all their shit opinions about players they don't like, regardless of what actually happened.
  3. Strain is probably one of the highest paid players at the club, and for all he's quality, I wonder if the club don't consider him great value. He's injury prone (and always has been), he's not a 90 minute player and he can only really play one position, quite a specialised one at that. In saying that he was a huge factor in our early season good form and was mostly fit in his first season. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. I'm not sure it will be a massively higher level
  4. Aye, it's the same with the league cup matches, even with good managers, etc, Scottish premiership clubs just aren't ready for these games when they roll round. Combine that with a draw against a team that's season is already in fully swing, like the Irish or Scandinavian teams and it's a recipe for disaster.
  5. Don't understand why Kinghorn is the kicker for Toulouse? Do N'Tamack and Dupont not both kick?
  6. I could see Dundee United offering Gogic stupid money TBF. They are paying Gallagher way more than we were, and I think now also owe us a fee. If they give Gogic £5k p/w then there really isn't anything we can do about that.
  7. How far the club has come in the last few years, basically since Scott took over from the old board has been unbelievable. As a fellow fan whose main formative years were the 90s this is incredible. When you were used to watching Andy Roddie playing up front while you narrowly scraped a 1-0 win in a relegation 6 pointer against against Stranraer or Cowdenbeath, this is the stuff of dreams. Even now I'm so conditioned by those years it took me till the split this year to stop looking at the bottom of the table first to check how far off relegation we are.
  8. Heard that before, our fans can be quick to forget this is Dundee and St Mirren we are talking about. Fantastic seasons so far for both.
  9. Gutted to not be there in person today, but so happy with the result and the performance. Dundee are still a good team, and with 3 games to go anything could happen, but f**k me, how long have we been waiting for St Mirren to just turn up and be better, like we were today? No failures across the team (ok, the goal was soft, but f**k it) and a huge three points. Loved it.
  10. Unfortunately I'll not make it this weekend which is a shame as I love a day out in Dundee, but it's been one of those weeks where you are reminded there are much bigger things than football in life. I'm not sure how the game will go, I think the pressure is on both teams and it can do funny things. For all the good Robbo has done, there are still very much question marks over this team when the pressure and expectation is high. Draw or big home win for me. Hopefully the former.
  11. To be fair, the Bolton one didn't help Dundee at the time, it would have been a red card either way. It helped Livi in the next game though as he was suspended when he shouldn't have been.
  12. Are Dundee not one of the few teams that have been shafted even more than us by VAR/Refs this season though?
  13. To think so many of our fans said he was shite, had a bad attitude and should be sent to the championship on loan. They thought Cammy MacPherson should have been kept and played ahead of him!
  14. Boyd Munce also barely played in his first half season. This always happens, and in some ways you've got to kind of admire the guys who routinely end up making complete idiots of themselves writing off players/managers early, because the numerous times they are proved wrong never stop them from doing it with the next guy.
  15. When you are looking at Scotland's mentality problems it's quite hard to look past Edinburgh as being a large source of it. A real disaster of a team considering the amount of internationals they have.
  16. See Bradbury has resigned for Edinburgh, which I find a bit surprising as he seemed to be doing quite well down south and seems completely out of favour for Scotland for some reason.
  17. Great game, gutting for Aberdeen, but Roos was basically a training dummy throughout that shootout.
  18. Ooofft! Hoilett, missed chance aside, has changed the game.
  19. Come on Aberdeen, feels like there is a goal here for them now if they can take it.
  20. Been coming unfortunately. That's terrible defending and goalkeeping as well.
  21. Can't be a penalty if it's outside the box tbf.
