It's got to be. We are in terrible shape right now.
To be honest, I'm starting to think the SRU think the WC is a write off anyway and want Townsend to carry the can. Means they won't have to pay off his contract as well.
f**k off Scotland. Since the try this has been utterly pathetic stuff. Can't get organised in defence, nothing going forward, and now losing and down to 14. They can't adjust to anything, it's horrible to watch.
God. That all comes from giving up soft penalties then not defending well enough. We aren't really good at anything right now.
Looks like they won't be able to kick anything at least. Might need to try and grind them down.
Samson, despite letting in 4, probably was the difference in that game with his 2 or 3 saves. The county keeper just helped them in or waved them past.
I think it looks significantly stronger than last week. I know Gray isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I think the lineout has been a bit of an issue and he just makes it better.
I'm actually quite looking forward to seeing it now, hope Hastings and Redpath do well.
We lose about 4 players every January. The only way this will be much different is if someone is paying us to take them rather than us paying for them to leave.
Feels like it won't matter what these accounts say, they will be "interpreted" in whatever way the people who want this battle see fit. Now any dissenting voices have been bullied out of SMISA and replaced by people who want to drive Kibble out it's hard to see a particularly rosy future on the horizon.
Yeah, but this also cuts two ways, if you are in some family Italian restaurant at 5.30pm getting raging at a couple of toddlers enjoying their spaghetti then that's your problem.
Was at the game and it just felt like another immensely winnable game that we didn't win, and there are far too many of those under Townsend now.
There were other players on the pitch to take that penalty at the end.
Totally agree on this point. Still remember some of the stick Rory Hughes got for being a "ned". Guys like that should be celebrated coming through. Rugby should also be targeting bigger lads who don't make it at football.
I don't now what it's like now in terms of getting recognised at club level in school age. Back in my day you pretty much had to be playing for a private school to even get looked at. A private school in Edinburgh was preferable.
Benneton have been shit here to be fair. I don't think they'll be massively enamoured by the refereeing either. The Italian teams get it even worse than us away from home.
