Morton v Hearts 20/4/21
Rudolph Hucker replied to The Ghost of B A R P's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
It is, but other (and better) newspapers are available. (Edited to add - going by the wee rid dots it would appear that both vt & Jamie M are Sun readers. Probably got the habit when the Page Three girlies were still a thing. Bless. ) -
Morton v Hearts 20/4/21

It could, but wot a difference a win would’ve made for us. We now need more points from the last two games than Ayr get, or the same points as them but see a turnaround of six goals in our favour. A week on Friday at Arbroath could be huge. -

I wouldn't have thought five foot ten would've qualified anyone as a midget in Dundee, far from it, but if you're happier making things up than crapping yourself about Tuesday night's game then you go for it, fill your boots. -

Hmm, don’t think we’ve seen you on the thread since the game....... I wonder why that is? And re your Imrie comment - why don’t you go find him and ask him to his face? Despite the pandemic I’m sure they could find a hospital bed for you somewhere. -

All that talk about rubbers from someone with no experience of them whatsoever....... * * - well, maybe apart from a “posh w**k” to an Ainsley video.- 589 replies

^^^ losing the plaice. (yes, yes, I know it isn’t - don’t carp on and on about it - it’s a bit of cod psychology. Or maybe I’m just fishing). ^^^ floundering for relevance. -
Ahh, so all of a sudden you agree that there is not only the Morton dynamic at play here........ now that I’ve pointed it out to you. And how well Hopkin is actually doing or NOT doing is irrelevant to the point that I made. Which letter of that little word “IF” are you not understanding? And when did you start to pay the slightest heed to anything that Ayr fans said anyway?? You’re clutching at straws here, chump. You hate to see it. Well, to be honest I don’t, actually.

If Arbroath manage to scramble a few points from their remaining games (and they certainly have more forward momentum than us or Ayr) then it's gonna be pretty ironic if the guy who left us in mid-season manages to keep Ayr out of ninth at Morton's expense....... .......another case of Crawford shooting himself in the foot.

We're hoping they'll be "fool's gold"........ .......and that this will happen....... .......but in reality this is far more likely. Looking like we're probably bound for the playoff spot. -

You seem to think yourself better informed about Morton fans than Morton fans are, since I have absolutely nae idea what you’re on about, son. You are indeed very wrong. Still, you’ll be well used to that by now I suppose. -

He’ll be delighted - after about five different fishing trips from him on the thread you’re the first bite he’s had. Now, to carry on with your curtains line - pull yourself together.

Only just seen this, and only cos I was tagged. I hardly ever look outwith the Championship and Cup forums. Strange comment from Snafu; I know nowt about him and he obviously knows nowt about me. I’ve rarely, if ever, “seethed” in my adult life, and certainly never about fitba’ or anything on the cesspit that is P&B. I use this place to get info about my team and to either start or join in the occasional wind-up, but I never, ever take it seriously and have never been more than occasionally slightly irritated - it’s only fitba’, guys; it’s really not remotely important in the grand scheme of things. If there was a Def Con rating of “mildly peeved” that would be my highest ever point. You do sometimes get folk having meltdowns or losing the plot on here, but time and time again when you see “ ^^^ seething“ or “ ^^^ raging” beneath a comment it’s because the poster hasn’t any better comebacks to what’s been said. If that makes them feel they’ve won something, they’re welcome to it. I’d certainly still be in a negative position rid-dot wise, cos I say what I want and don’t care what folk I don’t know think of it, but over three thousand of my wee collection came from two particular Morton fans and their ten or so alias accounts on here. Over a period of months they must’ve spent ages every day working through my back catalogue of posts, rid-dotting their full quota from every alias onto little old me. I can’t be arsed explaining why, but let’s just say I consider every one of the dots from those two lowlifes to be a badge of honour. And I’m quietly pleased to say that the rest of those lovely wee riddies come from a wide range of posters from many different clubs. Anyhoo, do carry on. And if anyone reading this is about to reply with a “ ^^^ raging” or a “ ^^^seething” post - c’mon, guys, go for something a bit more original. I promise I won’t be remotely bothered either way. -
Arbroath vs Alloa,
Rudolph Hucker replied to lichtiekev's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Worst possible result from a Morton point of view. We really need to make sure of safety in the next four games if we can, before that last game of the season at Gayfield - otherwise it’ll definitely be squeaky-bum time all round. Winning our game in hand on Tuesday against Caley Thistle would be a big step towards safety but after that we have a slightly tougher run-in than you do, against Dundee and Hearts the next two Saturdays before Alloa on the 24th. The good thing is that Arbroath play Ayr United on the 17th, if all three of us are still involved in this mess then from a Morton perspective something has to give in that one. Shame that Alloa are all but down now, I quite liked what little I’ve seen of them this term but at least it means they probably won’t still be fighting for survival when we play them - we need every little advantage that we can get now........ -
