  1. We got relegated last season but have had a good start to this season. We have a great set up and it will be a massive task for us but we will give it a right good go.
  2. Nitten are a great club with great facilities and great people.
  3. Most replays are the following Saturday but some provisional dates have been made for some replays. Don't see why it can't be payed midweek, kind of makes you wonder why clubs spent money on lights etc.
  4. I am aware of the weekly update but choose not to read it. I was looking to see if any fellow supporters were aware of why we were using under 20s with 22 players signed, not asking or looking for anything else. In fact the lads used looked good.
  5. Thanks but 3 players injured leaves 19. Are you saying maybe 5 are on holiday. What do you mean, the goals we have set ourselves, not normal forum supporter statement but maybe you know more than most.
  6. Dunbar are showing 22 signed players which would seem excessive but with some under 20s helping out, maybe we could do with some info. I assume any suspensions should be over so do we have a few injuries. As I have said we have been effective in our opening games but without any real quality play, some good play but I'm like I'd rather we win ,playing okay than lose playing well, now. Keep it going.
  7. What game were you at on Saturday if at all.
  8. You can learn a lot from reading reports but some are biaised. Why mention that Dunbar won the SJC ,60 odd years ago, have you just found out .
  9. 69 minutes on the clock actually. Where you at the game and can we ask.what team you actually support if Dunbar are you new to going or just looking for a bite given your title. Good to keep another clean sheet and pick up 3 points and sitting in a good position ,,keep it going.
  10. On reflection of what I've seen so far in pre season and league games we look on paper to have a decent squad but in reality we are lacking in certain areas. Up front we are poor, midfield we need someone to win the ball and create. With players becoming available we should get better but not impressed by some of the new signings,so far.
  11. WW were not anyway near as bad ss some were saying,in fact but for a good goalkeeping display from SB could have taken something from the game and of course a ridiculous decision by the referee to give DU a gift of a goal. The 2nd half DU improved but WW showed enough to suggest they will be okay.
  12. We got the win in a poor game where our keeper had some good saves. Dunbar were short of players which must be a concern . We finally kept a clean sheet thanks to SB. We didn't play well but got the points . WW in the first half were probably the better team and DU got a controversial goal on HT to change the game but ran out deserved winners in the end. hopefully players returning will improve us but good start considering.
  13. Dunbar need to win today as a few teams have started well and we want to be in amongst them. Still too early to make any calls but even at this early stage winning is a must . Good luck Dunbar.
  14. Against a very good Hibs team last night, despite losing 6 goals,Sean Brennan looked great. He made loads of great saves and stopped an absolute drubbing. The players in front of him defended poorly and were exposed at ease,as I say against a good Hibs team. 19 goals scored against us albeit against some good teams doesn't exactly look like we have sorted out our defence, but it's not what you do in pre season that matters, Saturday coming does matter. Good luck to everyone at Dunbar. The place is looking amazing, job off the park well done hopefully on the park as well.
  15. It's been a tough pre season with a couple of wins, couple of defeats ,a draw, against good opposition and a bounce game with the under 20s. Some new signings have looked good some still finding their way but we seem to look more of a unit than last season. Hibs tomorrow and then away on Saturday to Fife where we had a poor record last season. I agree we need another striker and maybe a defender to stop us leaking goals. We need a good start if we are to have any chance in a difficult league. Best of luck for the season ahead.
  16. Poor comment implying someone may have something wrong with them.
  17. Whatever was said by whoever it doesn't matter, you are in the Premier we are not. Of course people from any club fighting relegation would want other clubs to go down rather than them, you saying you didn't, it doesn't matter it us who have to try and get back up just like you will have to try and stay in it.
  18. Comedy gold or not,its true but there will always be doubters who question when clubs who have struggled for years, all of a sudden have good business people running the club and turn things around . Think what you like.
  19. As you have been told, the new stand was fully funded by grants, donations from supporters and a generous sponsorship with Eve coaches. The chairman was responsible for pulling this project together but has not dipped in to his own pockets at all. I have no idea if he has money or not but he has made a massive difference to this club. The stand is almost finished and it looks brilliant, improves the facility and must be one of the best set ups in Scotland and still a grass pitch. The manager has made a few signings and hopefully they turn out to be good enough . Time will tell but you are way wide of the mark, regarding the chairman. Nice dig about having the best facilities, possibly,in the first division.
  20. I think it was Newtongrange who played there in 1991 to open it,I was at that game but could be wrong about it. Big crowd at the game.
  21. Well done to Tranent from supporters of Dunbar. Good luck in the play off.
