  1. The manager picks his best 11 available, he should know them by now.
  2. A great result away from home. To beat a team 2 leagues above us on their own pitch is to be applauded. Makes the long return journey not so long when you win.
  3. Absolutely, Nitten and Dunbar would have been thought of as favourites . Why wouldn't they..
  4. Nobody questioning the same team being picked, absolutely correct to do so and If every supporter was happy ,no matter the result or performance, then we wouldn't be on here giving an opinion which is what the platform is for. I wish Dunbar the very best for the rest of the season.
  5. Seems to have slipped peoples minds that we lost ,away again. Once again 3 goals against us. There is no doubt we are a different team away from home. Our home record in the league is excellent but something changes. Same team as last week. Its not so bad losing a cup tie,we aren't good enough to win a cup yet IMO, but the manager needs to come up with something for the Nitten game which is more important than the Gretna game although I hope we can pull of a shock.
  6. Anyone know if suspended overage players can play in u20s league games.
  7. Cup ties the next 2 Saturdays and as we are not going to win any cup ,a chance for the manager to give players who dont get a regular game and coming back from injury and new signings some game time in preparation for the big league games coming up. But I still hope we can win these Cup ties and get a big draw at home. My opinion and wording only.
  8. Not this season, beat Preston 4-1 in a cup. Kinnoull aren't a bad team, they just had a bad day and we took advantage. That's my opinion anyway .
  9. Good win against a poor Kinnoull. It was a very one sided game and we could have scored more. Young Gregor scored on his full debut and generally done well. An improved performance with a few players missing again but it was better.
  10. However we did have another bad away day at Glenrothes. 12 goals against in 6 games . 8 points from 18. Yet still joint top. There are obviously problems with away games , players regularly missing, leaving the manager short. We still have a lot of top teams to play away but we need to win at home to keep us in touch. Tough game this Saturday and I would start Goldie,he deserves the chance despite my saying he isn't ready yet. The manager needs to freshen up the squad and Walker should be the start of a refreshing of the squad, before it's too late. A goal scorer is a priority. Defensively well, away from home, something not right .
  11. Why wasn't he in the squad after all the hullabaloo.
  12. Obviously with Smith facing a lengthy time out,it is a good signing. But it's a goal scorer that's a necessity. We haven't kept a clean sheet away from home ,so far , so it may mean we will need to score to get something from this game at Glenrothes. They are going well so it will be a tough game. Good luck to Dunbar.
  13. The stats clearly show Dunbar are a different team away from home. 10 league games played 5 at home, 5 wins,15 points,8 for, 1 against. Clearly, a great record at home and we have beat two top sides. 5 away games, won 2, drawn 2 and lost once, 8 points from 15 with 8 for and 9 against. We have not kept a clean sheet away from home. Of course if we keep up the same run of results until the season end ,we will be right up there.
  14. Dunbar deservedly won but you are right, the chances missed by us is no laughing matter. Our top goalscorer is Mike McFarlane and he's RB. A goal scorer is a priority if we are to challenge. We can't wait on Edmond we need a striker ,now. Dunipace look a decent team and Grant Thomson cleared two off the line but that was it. Defensively we look good ,at home anyway, it was a bit better and it's points that matter. Massive game at Glenrothes next week.
  15. Agree, a big game for us. Dunipace are flying and have had some great results recently and scoring goals. For us we need to be better than we have been ,just scraping results. Our problem is obvious but no sign of it changing so hopefully our back line are on their game. An important run of games coming up which will show if we can compete. We have a decent home record but with players missing, I would settle for a share of the points, but hope we can nick this one.Good luck Dunbar.
  16. From where I was,it looked bad, but this shows it as a lot worse. Piss poor actually.
  17. Congratulations to Stirling and good luck in the next round. They were streets ahead of us and have some very good players. If Smith had put the penalty away,it might have been a different game, but he didn't and went and got himself sent off. Pass marks to Handling and Thomson, but sometimes you just have to admit, the better team won. They exploited our system and their front two were excellent along with 6.
  18. 60k my arse, have you seen us. However whatever our budget is they will need to up their game to get a result tomorrow. Good luck Dunbar.
  19. Hopefully a win for Dunbar with something to spare. Lochore have only scored one less than us but conceded more so the stats suggest we might win. Good luck to Dunbar.
  20. We lack in one specific area. It is glaringly obvious where we need improved otherwise yes a good defensive display which was needed due to awful finishing.
  21. It was a just about deserved 1-0 win over Luncarty. If we had converted half of the chances created it would have been over long before the stupid sending off. Our defence coped well with the free scoring Luncarty . We are the lowest scoring team in the top half and it's clear to see why. Chances are being created but some of the misses on Saturday were embarrassing. A long way to go but we need someone to start scoring or new blood brought in.
  22. Question answered, poor result. Next 2 games are must win even this early. We don't look like a team despite still being in the mix,for now.
  23. We shaded the game. I enjoyed it nothing between the teams. Clach looked a young side but now back to the league. Having what now looks like a gentle introduction to this league, played 5 of the bottom 6 we now need to show if we have the tools to challenge and an EL derby against Preston is now the start of a run of big league games. Despite having a very good start to the season I still have concerns. Any news on Fleming.
