  1. Apologies if you are not a Camelon supporter. Actually I know people who do share my perspective but it doesn't matter now,its gone. People are entitled to their opinion and if others disagree, fine. My view is it was a poor game. But we have moved on and are doing well, and have a chance this week against HOB, who appear to be struggling this season. For me , we need to win this one and pick up as many points as possible to stay clear of the relegation battle. .
  2. Doesn't matter who signs how many new players, the truth was, it was a poor game. You admit it was a bad day at the office so you agree it was bad. We have still had a good start to the season and 3 pts this weekend will put some real daylight between us and the bottom teams. Even the Camelon supporters I was beside agreed but because they won,it doesn't matter. We were poor but we have improved under the new manager and all I said was what the majority of people thought of that game. Its opinions and hopefully honesty but if people don't agree,it doesn't matter. Why did all your players leave anyway.?
  3. We need to get real here. My negativity is based on recent events What's negative about saying its been a good start In saying let's be cautious I mean don't get carried away. Do you think Geoff was treated fairly,?. I agree we needed a change but how it was done was pish .
  4. It was already mentioned but feel free tell us the other half of whatever story you are on about. Dunbar lost today but still a good start to the season.
  5. Been a good start for Dunbar. The Camelon game was awful but 3 wins from 4 games is far better than I anticipated but we have played teams who appear to be having a bad start and finding themselves at the wrong end of the table. So well done to all at Dunbar but let's be cautious and keep up the good work. Some strange results already and probably the long break has affected some teams more than others.
  6. No won is putting money in to the club. Interesting to note that the chair thinks by building a new stand,it will attract players to the club. Don't quite get that cos despite having excellent facilities,it is what you give players in the wee brown envelope that gets them on board, anyway the board are doing some good things and some not so good things, but they at least trying and maybe a bit naive in some areas. As I say we might not be entirely happy at how this has been handled, but, time to get behind the manager and the team and hope they get a good start as we don't want a similar start as last season.
  7. Dunbars average gate pre covid was 170, the new stand won't be facing west and the new manager wasn't who you thought it would be and that's just some of the stuff you have the wrong info about. You need a new mole or are you just someone with a chip on your shoulder making it up as you go along You seem to mixing up comments from different people, I never mentioned the stand,I never said I had a mole, although I do,on my puss and I certainly don't make things up as I go along nor at my age why would I have chip on my shoulder and if you could let us know what other stuff I allegefly have wrong, let us all know. For clarity my.post was about a name being mentioned for the job, which was completely wrong but I stand by everything else I said. As for Malty Guy,he also got mixed up in trying to be a smart arse asking me if I knew where West or East is,when it was Tam he should have responded to or Left and Right, as I say,an arse and for whatever reason he started rambling on about Livvy,Meadowbak and Ferranti Thistle, why ,who knows, anyway,I now remember why I stopped visiting P@B
  8. I ain't a clown. I never mentioned the building of a stand. Tam has put you right on that. What's Livvy got to do with this. I don't have problem leasing a stadium but if you rented a house would you pay to put an extension on for the owner. You accuse me of fake news, please feel free to point out what I have allegedly said is fake. No names were mentioned when I mentioned a rumour of a name of the new manager, which turned out to be way of the mark, we don't own our ground and I have no issues in leasing it and I didn't raise anything about a stand being built, but you asked me about West or East for some reason. As for my quote on crowd numbers, I stand by what my estimate was based on being at the games and when we played Lithgy,Tranent,Mussy ,yes we had good crowds but not when we played, others ,but If my figure is wrong,I stand corrected. But please advise what is fake.
  9. Dunbars average gate pre covid was 170, the new stand won't be facing west and the new manager wasn't who you thought it would be and that's just some of the stuff you have the wrong info about. You need a new mole or are you just someone with a chip on your shoulder making it up as you go along What you on about. The only thing I got wrong was the bit about who was being rumoured to be taking over. Fair play to you on that one. I never said what side any new stand was possibly going to be built, that was someone else but we don't own the ground. As for attendances I'm sure we could argue at numbers but I don't have the stats that you obviously have. Where do get the bit about a chip on my shoulder, I have voiced an opinion about how Geoffs sacking was handled,I also said it might be a good thing and I also thanked Geoff for his service to us over the years which I don't see from yourself. It doesn't matter now,a new manager is in place and we move on.
  10. Dunbar will definitely be in the relegation fight and I hope Tranent win it although Jeanfield were the best outfit last season.
  11. I do know the difference between East and West but why bring me into this, for what it's worth, waste of time and money building a stand on someone else,s property. You hardly get 100 at a Dunbar game and now many are unhappy at recent changes so find the money and improve the team .
  12. No,nothing. This as you say has come completely out the blue. But if he resigned from Dalkeith cos players weren't committed, then he could be in for a shock. The board need to back him up with money to sign the type of player's they think can take us forward and stop asking supporters to dig deep. Despite being unhappy at how Geoff,s tenure has ended, this could be a good appointment but I still think we will struggle.
  13. Agree never seen that coming and obviously not something that just happened but doesn't matter now the board have appointed someone to work with the players signed by Geoff who they have openly said they don't think they are good enough. I wish him good luck ,he will need it and how long will he get given the reasons for Geoff,s dismissal. I don't like how things have panned out but it's the boards decision and I don't think a change is necessarily wrong but it stinks. Time will tell . My thanks once again to Geoff .
  14. Ridiculous decision on timing alone. This new board have moved the club forward on some things but how they have handled this, stinks. If they were thinking of replacing Geoff anyway ,why have they allowed him to sign several players. I heard tonight the manager is on holiday and for me that is not right if true but I am led to believe he wasn't aware of his dismissal If true it stinks more. I think if changes were on the minds of this new board, then they are responsible if we go down, they should have made the change weeks ago if they were not happy and allow a new manager time to recruit his own players. The timing sucks, Geoff has done a great job with no money and this new board need to get real and instead of dreaming of a new stand, appoint a manager who can attract the type of player that they think will move us forward with money that can take us forward , personally it's not going to happen unless there is some sugar daddy to fund what is required and I don't think that will happen . I have supported Dunbar for many years and I just wish Geoff had resigned when he won us promotion instead of what has now happened. I hope what I'm hearing isn't true, that he hasn't been told as he is on holiday, which is not what what should be happening. We need someone with wide contacts and a budget to match the dream. However I personally want to thank Geoff for all he has given to Dunbar as player and manager and feel that this is not how he deserves to be treated and if the club appoint who is being rumoured to take over, I won't be back.
  15. Sad news indeed, played against him a few times back in the good old junior days . Not a bad team photo, Miller,Love,McLaren,Cruikshanks,Les, Tommy Ure, aye they were a no bad team. Who did Mick play for before LR, was it Grangemouth,Bonnybridege summit like that I think.
  16. He has signed for Dunbar until the end of the season.
  17. I don't know anything about logos but just googled SFA and this is what came up. Is this this the right or wrong logo that the SFA are showing.? Perhaps you could show the correct logo that Dunbar should have used and not the one they copied from the SFA website. Scottish Football Association Organization The Scottish Football Association is the governing body of football in Scotland and has the ultimate responsibility for the control and development of football in Scotland. Members of the SFA include clubs in Scotland, affiliated national associations as well as local associations. It was formed in 1873, making it the second oldest national football association in the world. It is not to be confused with the Scottish Football Union, which is the name that the SRU was known by until the 1920s. Founded: 13 Mar 1873 CEO: Stewart Regan (Since 2010)
  18. Its true, we have signed Jordan Cropley and I have no idea why. We had also signed Lumbert Kazatela from Penicuik who even at 36 is still a good player ,however ,his photo and the usual speil have been removed from Dunbar website with no explanation, although I heard last night they have sacked him .
  19. Last week Dunbar had announced 5 new signings, given they lost a few players ,nothing unusual in replacing them but one of them Lumbert Kazatela who played for Penicuik last year and stays in Dunbar was being lauded as the marquee signing, even in his twilight years, he showed against us last season, he can still play and the usual speel attached to his photograph and then it has been withdrawn with no statement. I tried asking a committee person but they know nothing, so does anyone know what is going on. Even on Twitter it says 5 new signings but now only showing 4 . I seen a comment on Twitter from someone which suggested something , but it too ,has been withdrawn, anyone know ,if he has signed or if not, what has happened to make the club withdraw everything about the boy.?
  20. Dunbar are not investing heavily or lightly. WE dont have the money other clubs have and will struggle in the premier. Most of last seasons squad he re-signed but we have lost Grant Thomson,Chris King and Chris Gordon and I think 1 or 2 others, so we could be 5 down and so far we have signed 2 players on pre contract, from Dalkeith and Preston and one didnt play much allegedly,so we are well short in numbers. Nothing else is coming out from the club but if we dont sign players in the areas where we have lost then it is going to be a difficult season. The club have done well the last couple of seasons but the standard is about to go up massively in who we play and we have players who really only know about playing the likes of Boness,Lithgy,Bonnyrigg etc in cup ties and in one off games we have produced the odd surprise, but this is different. Of course we will be mentioned as one of the teams fighting relegation, we scraped in to the top 5 at the end and are under no illusions to what lies ahead but spending heavily is well wide of the mark and unless the manager can bring in some decent players, we on the side lines know it will be a very difficult season, but we will be in for a treat seeing some of the biggest names in Junior football back at Dunbar and will hopefully surprise some.
