  1. Business entertaining expenditure isn't tax deductible. Sponsorship is. But it only reduces your tax by 19% of the amount it reduces your profits by. As tax dodges go, it's pretty shit but better than a baxendale-walker EBT.
  2. All 15 members of the security council invaded Afghanistan? There were factions in the Taliban that wanted the foreigners (ie al Quaeda) out of Afghanistan. After 9/11 Pakistan brokered a deal for the Taliban to hand over Al Quaeda. The US didn't take the deal and invaded instead. You can argue about the merits of the deal and whether it was worth taking. Less than a month seems like not much diplomatic effort before starting the bombing. Maybe they tried really hard. Personally i think the US wanted war for domestic optics, you know the eye for an eye stuff that the bible belt would lap up. Not sure you know what an edgelord is.
  3. Agreed. If you do ever meet a "freeman of the land" remember that they don't consent to laws that would prevent you from kicking a citizen in the nuts.
  4. I think that it's relatively clear that the US had some legal (possibly some moral?) justification for going to war with Afghanistan. It's not clear that going to war with Afghanistan would have been necessary to achieve their stated goals. It's not clear that war would have been the best way to achieve these objectives. There were still diplomatic solutions available but war was preferred. While it may have been a justifiable choice, up to a point, the fact is that the US (plus hangers on) chose to go to war. The US was the aggressor and this was not a defensive war, however it is presented.
  5. Was this not the article that some of facebook's finest legal minds used to convince a hairdresser to ignore lockdown rules and stay open? She ended up fined thousands. People will believe any old shite.
  6. "Remainiacs" and the xenophobic knobs that got us into this mess don't really have any choice but to try to make it work. I will continue to complain about the adverse effects of this monumentally stupid act of national self harm as and when they arise. I don't think I'll ever tire of laughing at news stories such as "i voted for brexit but it made my business go bust". If you think that's carping and pathetic, then great. You are entitled to your opinion. Personally i think it is more pathetic that the uk electorate decided to vote against cooperation with the neighbours mainly because they don't like foreigners. And also pathetic that the same xenophobic cretins fail to acknowledge the mounting evidence of the costs of this decision and the dearth of evidence of the benefits (yes, Sunderland, wooohoo, go spitfires!). What is truly pathetic though is using tooth-curling Daily Mail columnist portmanteaus like "remainiacs". Sad.
  7. Can't believe i forgot max lowe. Would also put Stockley up front. I blame poor memory more than poor judgment
  8. Mixed bag Ward Robertson . Hector. McKenna. Shinnie Jack. Mclean Wright. Maddison Fraser. Shankland
  9. I don't find it tedious at all. I love all the back room machinations and the numbers side of things, as well as the game on the park. I don't expect everyone to, but there's loads of aspects to football that appeal to different people. Some people love stats, some love the strips etc. I don't, but different strokes etc...
  10. I read your first line and thought "i'll respond by just typing" kris""
  11. We must have known hibs would laugh at a £500k offer. Makes no sense. With my best tinfoil hat on i've deduced that Boyle's agent is the most likely to benefit from this release clause being widely publicised and we've made this bid as part of a wider arrangement. Fullninety management roster here: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fullninety-sports-management/beraterfirma/berater/3518 Barrie Mckay incoming
  12. To extend your analogy here, the person who shat in the porch was a teenage lodger in the house of a family they disliked, so they burned the house down.
  13. This was never a strategic war for America in the traditional sense of occupying territory for logical reasons. It was all about PR and showing who had the biggest bombs. It's easy to forget how childlike and stupid the Neocon worldview was. Someone was bad to US so US had to kick ass in public.
  14. Been away for a couple of days and had this taped. Just caught up. Ha ha ha ha. Raith good value for their win. Our defence. Having one would be a good idea.
  15. I'd like to nominate the Mongols for an honourable exception here. They didn't try to improve anything, broke everything they couldn't carry and left behind a contribution to the gene pool.
  16. Can't argue with the Tories shrugging part, but our part in the havoc was initiated by a Labour government, following a "rim America" policy. Once there are no more western soldiers there it can go back on the list of countries that no-one in the west cares about along with half its neighbours.
  17. The quality of the coverage isn't great but it's a good opportunity to watch more smaller Scottish games in the league cup and some diddy European games. Can't remember why i subscribed in the first place. Scotland games? I don't watch the epl, golf or wrestling, so now that DAZN has matchroom's fights it's better value than sky sports.
  18. A friend at at my work started going to a gun club and had applied for a license for his own before going a wee bit nuts, which culminated in him getting sacked for repeatedly threatening to kill one of the female managers. A childhood friend of mine lived on a farm and was walking about with a shotgun when he shot a small brown bird, like a sparrow or something, amd got the largest bit of debris with the second barrel before it hit the floor. In my admittedly limited experience of gun owners, wanting a gun should automatically disbar you from having one.
  19. Bbc comments are a valuable insight into the psyche of the nation. Absolute dribbling simpletons from all points on the political spectrum. Representative only of morons.
  20. They beat Connahs quay so are better than Kilmarnock and Kairat Almaty so they're better than Aberdeen. I think that's how it works.
  21. He's stated that he's not getting his hole and he'd desperately like to. That's the definition of incel, no? Not according to some other posters, no. I'm not an expert on incel culture due to being attractive, charming and practically drowning in clunge so i'm going to pass on this point.
  22. Sometimes i wish i believed in Hell
  23. This is all very interesting. Anyway. Rangers surely have too much for Alashkert, ranked 192th?
  24. No evidence this guy was an incel as such is there? Common or garden VL.
