  1. I think the crowd size is less important that the tv views. I don't think the clubs you've quoted except Newcastle would be very close to either Glasgow club and certainly not to Celtic. That's for Celtic playing other EPL clubs and not the historical figures for playing at Dingwall etc, so it's not based on very sound evidence.
  2. To me, there is a clear difference between cyclists and just c***s on bikes. The cyclists have at least some kit (brakes as a minimum) and some idea of how to stay safe on the road. Other than red lights being optional, they don't cause much concern. The other species has one hand down their grey trackies and a spliff in the other, winding the wrong way down a one way street or along a pavement while they shout at the phone on their handlebars. At least these will do less damage on a bike.
  3. I know, i was saying it's an imperfect comparison. They are without the four biggest teams in a country of 3m where Rugby is the main spectator sport. I don't think that the 5 bigger city teams would stay in Scotland if there was an option to move, maybe even the Dundee teams would be tempted. The remaining teams would probably still get about 10x the crowds that LOW gets. Even Accies. But it is the obvious comparison as to what a country's league without that country's biggest teams looks like.
  4. When i'm cycling, motorists are c***s. When i'm driving, cyclists are c***s. The system is really quite simple.
  5. Our reported crowds have stayed fairly consistent for about 40 years. The central belters tended to go to away games more hence our now traditionally large away supports.
  6. I think the remaining Scottish league would be competetive and enjoyable. The obvious comparison would be the league of Wales but that's missing the four biggest teams and the remainder are all fairly small. Personally i'd prefer the OF to stay because i want us to beat them to the league title. It might never happen but it might. I would be surprised if any exodus stopped at two teams though. Cormack and Budge would definitely fancy the relative riches of the championship.
  7. I agree with that. They do need to be confident and knowledgeable though. It's perfectly fine to say that they expect sales to grow from 500 thousand to a million over four years with net profit going up to about 100,000 without being overly specific if you can explain your strategy for getting there. There are folk that can't say what sales they've made over the last year, at all. Why would you give them money?
  8. It doesn't matter. If it was a board meeting they'd have those figures in front of them so I don't understand why they aren't allowed them in with them. It's just an absolute nonsense rule. Why would they be pitching to vc investors in a board meeting? If someone doesn't intimately know the most important thing about their business then i can't see how they can be trusted to run it. I'd be embarrassed speaking to a client in a meeting about their forecasts if i had to look them up, and they aren’t even my forecasts.
  9. They're not asking them for pi to 30 decimal places, just a couple of important numbers to support an investment. Completely reasonable and folk that don't know them are flakes. Deborah's bogey is a legitimate cause for complaint. It's been years she's been trying to get that off.
  10. Oreos are rank. The budweiser of biscuits. I've had a rage tidy of the cupboards this morning (slamming down tins, muttering, long exaggerated sighs) and found three open packets of stuffing mix and five open packs of gravy granules. That's before i get started on big pans stacked on little pans and round tubs in rectangular tubs. Get those Oreos in the bin.
  11. I retract my earlier comment about snapping scott brown. Unnecessary. Campbell and Ferguson playing like they did last night should be good enough to hold down a starting place anyway.
  12. Nine points each to play for and Rangers have already agreed to lie down to us. Something about "goading"
  13. Collum not giving a pen and a red for a blatant haul is less puzzling than the hairy spot on his bald patch
  14. We now have 4 open packets of spaghetti in the cupboard, each half used. Fuming
  15. I've got the wee pot for making it, but the Turkish grocers aren't on my normal shopping schedule and it doesn't work well with my shitey ceramic hob so i've not used it in a while. This thread is inspiring me though.
  16. Sounds like you're ready for the hard stuff, a proper turkish, with the grounds left in.
  17. Yay, politics on the match thread, we must be playing Celtic. If our midfielders are serious about protecting their place in the team they could help their cause enormously by snapping scott brown today. While it might be detrimental to us next season, it would still be hilarious.
  18. You're taking it far to personally. Just flick the vs, call her a c**t and carry on with your day. That's what the highway code says.
  19. Fortunately a quoted Labour source mentioned that Dyson was a Tory donor or the bbc article might have missed that trivial detail. The important thing is that Laura stood up for them both. They were trying to save us all from covid and that's what we should focus on. They're heroes really.
