Everyone does,  but for some reason we've been sleep walking into this dystopian level of service.

It's the same as the poster that said phoning your broadband provider every 18 months pretending to leave.

    Everything is shit

    Speak for yourself.

An app doesn't turn up the second i've stuck o forkfull of steak in my mouth to ask if everything's alright with your meal sir and the self service till doesn't throw tins of beans at my eggs.

People can f**k off. Cold, emotionless tech every time.

Anyone been watching the X-Men 97 series?

I only just found out that it’s actually a new series. I’d imagine I’m not the only casual viewer that’s seen it listed and assumed that it’s an old cartoon like Batman on Netflix.

Vegan cakes are shite. I stand with my gammony brethren on this one.

Scones aren't cakes in my opinion.

    Cakes have egg.

Substitute fats are better substitutes than egg substitutes. Aqua fava ffs.

There's a shop near me that specialises in egg free cakes, although strangely they're not vegan. Guess it's an allergy thing maybe. They have actual cream and butter icing but are still fucking disgusting.

Only the super rich can afford to eat at National Trust places anyway, so f**k em.

I find all of these private members organizations disgusting on principle. It's elitist and exclusionary by default, and anyone who pay's to be a card carrier is subscribing to a status that we should all find repugnant. Come the revolution they will be the second against the wall, right behind the Windsors.

This is a dig at platinum members right?

Sounds like a wrong un just trying to keep her seat, but...

Hardly a blow for labour is it? Proves it broadening its appeal rather than trying to narrow it and so victory moves closer

If the SNP stuck to that tack rather than campaigners demanding it purge itself of anyone to the right of Neil Kinnock they might not be in the shit they're in right now.

The second paragraph there is utter gibberish. I’m a former Labour voter who could be won back. Letting this hack in to the party is further evidence for me that Starmer’s Labour has no principles at all. I can accept a bit of compromise in furtherance of an agenda, but when the only principle is winning, there’s no point.

Your third paragraph seems a bit strawmanny, considering that Forbes just got a senior role.

That's an understatement, and leaves you questioning the point of the club spending years developing players if they can leave on a free or at best a nominal value.

It's even worse when they are born or raised AB postcoders - and so many seem to have left in those circumstances in recent times.

Not sure exactly what happened here, but feels like there's been wrongs from club, player and agent that could easily have been put right.

If you believe the rumours, he's paid peanuts and was offered little more to extend his deal.  That's just bad business for someone that was always likely to have sell-on value.

Not sure I believe those rumours but have no real reason to doubt them.

We can’t compete with the OF, EPL squad wages or the English Championship on wages. We can on “pathway” and opportunity to play first team football. My hunch is that that’s where we needed to do more with Barron.

He won't win, but nice to see some recognition for Barron nevertheless. He has arguably been our best player in 2024 IMO.

Very disappointing that he’s on his way out. Last few games he’s been superb. Hopefully he goes continental and not down south (or worse) for his own development.

    Good list as well.

What's this device in my upgraded van? There are 2 of the wee doofers I'm holding, and when I went to remove the device screwed onto the dash, there's a wire connected that disappears into the fascia.

Is it critical to the van working, or, as I suspect, on old mobile phone fitting?

It's some sort of key or id. I'd one for getting into an old workplace. Does it unlock your steering?

@Dons_1988 pointed out in the mathematical milestones thread that 9th is Aberdeens natural position when not qualifying for Europe. This prompted me to look into whether we'd finished in every position from 2nd-11th since the 12 team league was introduced.

The answer was surprisingly no, we have never finished 5th.

    2nd x 4

    3rd x 3

    4th x 7

    5th x 0

    6th x 1

    7th x 1

    8th x 2

    9th x 3

    10th x 1

    11th x 1

So in the 23 seasons since the 12 team league was introduced the Dons have finished in 9 of the 12 available positions. I'm thinking Hearts might have the full bifter of 2-12 and I reckon there's a fair chance that Hibs, Killie and Dundee Utd might have 3-12.

How have fellow P and B'ers clubs fared in the top flight since the 12 team league was introduced.

We had a brilliant opportunity to try to get fifth this year but the Warnock experiment killed all hopes. Maybe next year.

  10. My car advice is to not use kwik fit. To be fair to them, they’ve put it right and not tried to dodge the blame, but they haven’t exactly admitted that they fucked up either. My brakes definitely weren’t falling apart before they changed the pads, but did shortly afterwards.
