  1. There's that many of them, it'll probably just be like a small lottery win each. Except they get it every year. I'm not sure what the furlough fuss is about though. If they had their staff on furlough, are they not entitled to it the same as everyone else?
  2. I just got mine and, as Ropy said, went through the Motherwell website without a problem. One thing I did notice is, you have to click on the word 'online' which is only a slightly different colour from the rest of the text so it's quite easy to miss the link.
  3. Well, this thread's taken a bit of a turn. Probably more 'discussion' of issues over a fire exit than the actual game. I'm away to look at tickets for Livi on Saturday. Or maybe I could just ask my dad to open the fire exit to let me in.
  4. Driving back from the Motherwell v Celtic game on Saturday, I heard Kenny Miller say it's important Rangers get a win against Aberdeen. Really? Who is it important for? Fine to say it's important for Rangers but it's important for Aberdeen that they get a win.
  5. It would be massive for McIntyre if he ended up seeing it out for the win but hopefully this slight shift in momentum means it won't come to that.
  6. Could it be something to do with who they played for? McCulloch's Motherwell and Kilmarnock's links for instance.
  7. Obviously the standard of our forwards has been apparent in the last few games but what really stood out for me today is our lack of depth in midfield. Our only option off the bench was Davor when we desperately needed fresh legs whereas Celtic were able to swap round players on a like for like basis. I know we needed to balance the books but the squad looks a bit, well.... unbalanced. Are we going to need Butcher in there when suspensions (looking at you Slattery) and injuries kick in?
  8. Someone had taken a bad turn in the Cooper at the end of the game and was getting medical treatment. The players were doing their best to get more assistance over. Hopefully he's OK.
  9. You're surely not suggesting signing Nathan McGinley smacks of desperation are you?
  10. What's the deal with these loan transfers outside the transfer window? Are we allowed to put players out, just can't bring them in?
  11. I'm probably being incredibly naive but I'd like to think VAR looking at the incident again would see it for what it was, a nothing incident.
  12. Ah, that was the penalty claim. Nah, not having that. Don't really see Tavernier doing anything and I would have been livid if that was given against us.
  13. We've only had a positive goal difference on a handful of seasons in the time I've been watching Motherwell so it's no surprise that we've got an overall negative goal difference. We have conceded more top flight goals than anyone else though! Oh well, it's better than losing goals in the Championship or League One as a good number of our peers have.
  14. I've not seen anything from today but I've not been the only one to comment that Mugabi can be really good when he gets a run in the team. Unfortunately he has a few errors in those first few games before he's up to speed.
  15. Motherwell had a strong start and, based on 36 points roughly representing safety, I remember thinking we're a quarter then a third of the way to safety. We then stopped and managed to briefly be bottom on 20 points in early February. On that basis I'm not confident of declaring anyone is safe at this point although St. Mirren and Motherwell certainly don't look as though they're going to be troubling the relegation battle.
  16. Really strange approach from the council on parking. Most away fans come off the motorway and it makes complete sense to park in an industrial area where the properties have their own parking and are generally closed anyway. There have always been signs saying you can't park which are confusing but you turn up and see St Mirren fans leaving their cars there so assume it's OK. To then start enforcing parking regulations on a random basis is bonkers. If, as someone suggested, it's to keep access clear for emergency vehicles then just remove cars that are parked in a way that cause blockages.
  17. Yes, despite losing, I thoroughly enjoyed the game as a keenly-fought contest and wasn't too downbeat as we'll play worse than that and win. It has to be said, we probably only deserved a draw against Killie (possibly Hearts too but I only saw the highlights) and came away with a win so there was maybe a bit of balancing out. Somebody put up the BBC article on xG and how both teams had outperformed so it wasn't a great surprise that one of the teams was able to score from the fairly low number of real opportunities. St. Mirren scored a cracking goal and we were nowhere near clinical enough in front of goal. Hardly a great surprise when we're onto our fourth choice centre forward. Perhaps the disappointing thing, was that Shaw has been brought in as an option but absolutely fluffed his lines when given a clear opportunity - hopefully he's just a bit rusty but I've seen anything in his career so far to convince me. Prove me wrong Oli!
  18. The St. Mirren v Hearts thread for next weekend is already heading down similar lines with hardly any posts from Hearts fans but supposedly the shit-show of a thread for our cup game against them was one-off (as was their thread against Dundee, the one against Aberdeen and the one for yesterday's game).
  19. Ah well, was going to go for Raith but their fans were convinced their Inverness hoodoo was going to continue so I went for United instead. That'll teach me. Good luck to the remaining 19 and thanks to Poet for organising!
  20. Interesting to compare the thread on this game with the fairly normal thread with Kilmarnock when we won when a draw would probably have been fair.
  21. Don't know why, but I'm not confident about this. Maybe the return of Mandron and O'Hara isn't a good omen for us.
  22. Are the pies also available in the away stand? Might be worth posting in the match thread.
