  1. That's a lot of cleaning up if he's got the salt cellar as Slattery.
  2. Who wins the Mark McGhee Transformation Award - Jim or Steven McGarry?
  3. Pretty much agree with all of that, including yum-yums. The mention of significant compensation would probably rule Valakari out. Interesting to see he was allegedly offered the job in 2015.
  4. Someone mentioned Fotheringham to me and, while I don't place much stock in his opinion, Alan Preston was singing his praises and recommending him for the job on Radio Scotland after Alexander got sacked. That probably just means he's his agent though.
  5. Highly unlikeable but probably still a better manager than most of the names kicking about.
  6. Looks like Cornelius and Efford getting stripped for second half.
  7. Yes, the St Johnstone v Motherwell games in the second half of last season!
  8. To get that £350k we'd have had to have got through to the next round and I'd be unlikely to be able to bite my fingers just now.
  9. It would have to be that picture of his face when Mohsni's fist has just connected with his jaw. I just googled Mohsni to check the spelling and he appears to currently be playing for Dungannon Swifts in Northern Ireland which strikes me as incredibly bizarre.
  10. Who the hell was Scanlon? I know my memory is not what it was but I have no recollection of him at all?
  11. That's some spectacular pedantry but a proper pedant would point out it's an exclave and an enclave.
  12. The previous fixture had both sets of 'Ultras' jumping the barrier to run towards each other. Yesterday there was a line of stewards in front of the Motherwell Bois but only three or four in front of the St Mirren fans. Had they scored, they'd have been across the barrier before you knew it.
  13. It took me about 20 minutes in the queue to get in just in time for kick-off and the queue was still the full length of the stand at that point. More open turnstiles would have helped but part of the problem seemed to be stewards searching people before allowing them to the turnstiles. Plenty of stewards and police standing about so there was no reason they couldn't have worked their way down the queue a bit. They were friendly enough outside, just not very efficient.
  14. I don't know how much behind the scenes information he actually gets but Craigan said on the radio before yesterday's game that he believed we are looking to appoint someone in the next 7-10 days to give them the chance to bring players in.
  15. I thought he got taken out by stewards, not police, so probably not arrested.
  16. At half time I thought the game had been fairly even with us having a worrying lack of threat. St. Mirren had less of the ball but had more going forward and should have done better with a couple of chances. Kelly's save was incredible as was his stop in the second half but, for all their second half possession and particularly after Lamie's horrible challenge, it wasn't as incisive. During the game I thought an equaliser had to come but, in the main, we defended well and St Mirren squandered the clear cut challenges they did get. Although we didn't create much I thought both teams were a hell of a lot better than the last game I saw there (last season's 1-1). That would have got football stopped.
  17. Are you aware the St Mirren wee fannies invaded the pitch at the season and were over nearer the away stand? Neither of these pitch invasions including going on the pitch but I know what you mean. I was up the far end of the stand so didn't see what went on but the stewarding at St Mirren has been heavy-handed and a bit of a joke for a few years now. The length of the queue outside was a nonsense for starters.
  18. To be fair, McLeish wasn't that much of a player/manager for us (I think he only played about 3 games) but I don't want us going down that route again. Let someone get their experience elsewhere - the league is too tight to let someone make their mistakes with us.
  19. It was a bit harsh as he didn't mean it but the way the rules are at the moment it's always going to be given as he had half an arm out.
  20. We didn't create much but I thought we played with a bit more pace and attacking intent than recent games. Carroll had a decent game and him and O'Donnell both seemed to benefit from playing in a more conventional full-back role.
  21. Would Paul Lambert be of interest and would he be out of our price range?
  22. Queue for away stand is ridiculous. I joined it at 2.35pm and I'm not sure if I'll make it in for kick-off. Edit: I just made it but the queue outside is still the length of the away stand.
