  1. Hot Shot Hamish from the Tiger comic of my childhood.
  2. Seeing as there's only been two rounds of fixtures so far there's not really a lot of material to work with. Previous seasons' red cards are just to whet the appetite for the madness to come. [emoji6]
  3. I thought it was actually 4 red cards for Abercrombie. I'm sure this has come up on other threads- few punches thrown (alleged spitting from Stevie?) to break the monotony of a midweek 1-1 draw IIRC and Abercrombie refused to leave so got shown more and more reds.
  4. I'd forgotten about that. Crazy considering the United team must have been finding it hard to come to terms with what they'd witnessed.
  5. Probably about 15-20 years ago Motherwell were playing out a turgid midweek nil nil draw at kilmarnock when our goalie Francois Dubordeau came out to collect a long ball that bounced through to him late on in the game. Having caught the ball about head height, he then elbowed the oncoming Kilmarnock player in the head, getting sent off and conceding a penalty in the process. We lost 1-0 from the penalty. Wiki has him done as being a fans' favourite for a performance against Rangers but that's my abiding memory of him.
  6. I heard them talk on the radio about fans going on the pitch, I assumed it would just be the usual 5 or 6.
  7. How did our new signings do? Not hearing much about KVV - quiet game?
  8. I see the Daily Record has been carrying a story about Ojala being told nice things about the club by Valakari. They then go on to say he's in the squad for the St. Johnstone game having had to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days. He maybe did have to quarantine but he was a sub against Hibs and warming up right in front of me.
  9. Elderflower Hybrid Moments from Drygate. A lidl special - very light and refreshing.
  10. I picked these two up at lunchtime today but still to try. Just had the Loch Lomond Chasing Cars but found it pretty bland. Now onto 71's Ray's For Days West Coast IPA which is much better and going down a treat.
  11. I think we all go through that phase of taking things too far. Some of us are still to come out the other side.
  12. Do you not already need to get your tickets scanned on the way in? As a visiting supporters I've had to buy a ticket at the ground to use at the non-cash turnstiles. The Motherwell game on Sunday had entry by mobiles and printed bits of paper as we can't use our season cards yet as we're getting allocated seats elsewhere.
  13. What's a red zone? Motherwell had fans (of both teams) spread around all 4 stands on Sunday.
  14. If they're looking to sell him and get back some of their investment then you would think a loan deal down south would be Hull's preference as it would put him in the shop window.
  15. I don't think it's been particularly mentioned but, after all the talk about making 2000 tickets available for Hibs supporters, the official attendance was announced as 5230. It certainly looked busier than that, maybe because everyone was spread out, but still a good bit short of the 6500. Plenty of people still on holiday and I get that a few might not be completely comfortable in a crowd but I thought the novelty factor would have generated more demand.
  16. To be fair, a good chunk of those transfers would have been when you were in a lower division than us so you were getting our cast-offs and your better players were upgrading to us. We did pay money for the likes of Lambert and Martin as well so we obviously rated them and you were prepared to accept the offers. I rated Scott but I think his time at Hull has been hampered by injuries. He's a bit of a confidence player so might have struggled to bounce back and maybe needs the move. We struggled to find the right position for him, probably wide and cutting in (not a target man) and that also maybe hasn't helped his cause as he's not your traditional winger or centre forward.
  17. I thought Melissa had tried to move on and doesn't talk about it whereas Michaela seems to be trying to become a bit of a minor celebrity and make a living of the back of her story.
  18. The visibility isn't great there when coming from the road on the left either, past Gilshochill Station.
  19. Really impressed with KVV. Great touch, huge and likes clattering people- definite bit of the Higdons about him. I think we need a vote on whether he's going to get more goals or yellow cards. Both could easily be in double figures.
  20. You obviously wouldn't have seen much of St. Mirren last season but that soft penalty yesterday but would have been well down the list of soft penalties they got last season. Welcome to the Premiership.
  21. He's got nice hair though. And calves, don't forget the nice calves.
  22. Thanks guys for the heads-up on the Lidl beer festival. I headed to my local shop at lunchtime today but because it's being renovated they didn't appear to be taking part and just had their usual collection. I did pick up a brochure though to see what I was missing. Anyway, enjoying this 'juicy lager' although it's a bit more like a IPA.
