  1. If Reading, McGinley and Musonda are all injured then I reckon our next best left back could well be Murphy. Hes at least got the experience to be in the right place at the right time and might actually help organise the useless c***s we have at the back. I’d then have Stanger and McGinty at centre back with McAllister at right back.
  2. Aye considering we’ve got three players at the club who can play left back (to varying degrees of competency) and all of them are unavailable. I do wonder what Brown would’ve done with Ecrepont though? Would absolutely be using him now. I do find it hard to judge any manager on what they do in January. It’s a ridiculous month and clubs very rarely strengthen what they have unless they get lucky or spend money. Looking at the business we’ve done, Brown has only really replaced guys that were recalled or guys he straight away deemed not good enough. We definitely haven’t improved on any positions but I wouldn’t say we are outright poorer in any areas either. I think he needs to be ruthless in the summer and give himself enough scope to build his own squad.
  3. The fact you even used it as an example is ridiculous enough tbh. I actually agree with you with regards to the injury stuff or knowing if players have signed contracts elsewhere (not saying this is the case). It’s also not a league that lends itself to “experimenting”. Don’t think for one minute that’s what happening even if the shape looked bizarre in the second half.
  4. I haven’t said that once but if you want to carry on with your temper tantrum over where we warmed up on the park then fire it. Just make sure your keyboard is in one piece tomorrow morning. Once again, being asked to explain your actions in this case is entirely valid. I don’t think anyone has a reasonable argument for wanting the club to explain why we didn’t warm up in front of the SRE and decided they didn’t want to kick off into that end in the first half. “Get him out Sharon” comes to mind.
  5. I think demanding communication for this particular reason is one of the most bizarre things I’ve read on this forum. I’m finding it hard to actually believe it’s a serious suggestion.
  6. I don’t think this is the case for every game but some of the time, yes. The club can’t exactly prove it’s a piss take as Amartey was at least on the pitch. I don’t particularly agree with the notion that we have to have a MOTM picked for every game especially for a game like today where there were no actual pass marks that could be given to players.
  7. Cause that one matter does not matter one jot. No matter how hard you shout about it.
  8. I’ll say it again and hopefully it gets through. The club do not need to inform fans prior to a game that they are altering their warm up routine and then plan to choose to kick off facing the SRE. I agree communication could be better with regards to injured players especially when fans seem so hell bent on convincing themselves there’s been some mass fall out. However the club don’t need to run everything past fans. Are you wanting David Smith to tell you every time he goes for a shite as well?
  9. Of all the stuff to get annoyed about you’ve chosen this? You’re seriously wanting the club to put a tweet out saying “for today’s match we’re actively choosing to change ends to warm up at and then kick off”. You’ve lost the fucking plot mate.
  10. Why would the club communicate to us that we moved where we warm up?
  11. I don’t think it had any bearing on the result whatsoever. Brown and Whittaker have maybe seen something they don’t like or maybe the pitch was more cut up in the SRE half so they’d rather warm up on the opposite end. It wasn’t the reason for Sanders giving a goal away or McHugh and Syla not being able to complete simple five yard passes.
  12. Rose can’t play for us as he can’t be re-registered outside of a window. He also can’t play against us as he’s still on loan from us. Not that he’d make one bit of difference to this team. He was being hounded out in January. Scoring goals against plumbers and painters doesn’t warrant a mass backtracking.
  13. Chalmers is injured Rose can’t play for us this season.
  14. It’s only one player that we’ve heard he has an issue with though? And it was someone who was letting the team down. Brown obviously has high standards and wasn’t prepared to wait it out until the summer with Albinson which is fair enough. Clarke hasn’t had a clean sheet yet (something he’s getting a roasting for on Facebook) but he’s made a lot of big saves in games we’ve won and it would’ve been 4 or 5 today without him.
  15. Can’t remember a player regressing as quickly as Albinson has. Doubted it at first but the fact it coincided with Timmins leaving maybe isn't a coincidence. Clarke was getting pelters from people standing around me today. I can’t really recall him doing anything wrong since he came in. Certainly not to the level of Albinson when he was chucking them in.
  16. Honestly just get a life mate. It was funny if nothing else.
  17. It was the sponsor who picked it and clearly did so to make a point that we were pish. I doubt Brown really cares that much.
  18. Well no, it’s blatantly down the injuries unless you’ve got the tinfoil hat on.
  19. You can’t praise Brown for getting a result last week with a makeshift team and then write him off this week when that same team loses. He’s making do with what was left to him and the fact he’s managed to get wins where Bullen wouldn’t have tells me that he at least has some idea of what to do but ultimately needs a summer to be judged.
  20. If Brown continues on his current trend of win, lose, win, lose etc then we’ll be fine. We’re still picking up points which is important but we’re still largely pish. We need to hope a few of the injuries are back next week. Namely Chalmers and Musonda.
  21. Chalmers had a knock last week so I’m guessing it’s gotten worse that he doesn’t even make the bench. I don’t even want to know who’s playing left back out of Stanger, Sanders or McGinty.
  22. He does strike me as another in a long-ish list of young players who have been touted as having a promising future but for whatever reason can’t make it work. Not sure if he’ll be here next season or not. I’ve long said that the level of clubs that we send players out to isn’t the best. Yes you’d imagine the standard is one where players should be standing out but it’s not an ideal environment for young guys to develop. Most of the football is played between the centre halves and strikers with long punts and if you’re a smaller, more creative player you aren’t going to develop much. I’m not sure what the alternative is as reserve football doesn’t have much of an edge to it and League Two clubs don’t seem to be that keen on taking our players on loan. At least Ecrepont and Watret seem to be doing well and getting regular game time. Would hope that Watret is used properly next season alongside a more established option.
