  1. We absolutely need a couple in. We did before January and injuries to Jack/Flood.
  2. You can't fight fate. This man was always destined to play for the Teddy Bears.
  3. If you don't sell us O'Halloran we'll boycott your ground and you'll be in administration within 12 months. Fact.
  4. They get plenty criticism, it is in fact why they are still on the go. If nobody reacted they wouldn't have a job.
  5. He has a point. See Adrian Durham, Katie Hopkins even Donald Trump for examples of people who will talk nonsense simply to anger the mob and get attention.
  6. I agree more so Doncaster but think it would be naive to believe the sfa are not charged with thinking the best route for Scottish football is maximising revenues.
  7. Not really sure anymore, once dispelled the word conspiracy I think we're pretty much in agreement. Although I do believe the likes of Regan, Doncaster etc would be tasked with maximising the commercial value of the game. Not saying it's their sole purpose but it is a part of their job.
  8. This is also entirely inaccurate, the decision (rightly) to have rangers start again in division 3 was taken by member clubs first from the spl and then the sfl. The sfa/spl representatives at the time did everything in their power to convince the clubs otherwise.
  9. Nope he called me weird for suggesting maximising commercial value was in the job remit
  10. Well unfortunately there are several parties but in my case I am referring to the SFA/SPFL representatives who run our game, negotiate tv deals etc. MT claimed their remit wasn't to maximise the commercial value of the game, so I'm interested to know why it is he thinks they want Rangers promoted.
  11. Ok then enlighten me, why do they want rangers back in the top flight, is it a masonic conspiracy?
  12. I think you're over complicating this, instead of using a 'qualified' definition of conspiracy lets just discard the word altogether. It's quite simple, the powers that be in Scottish football are (unfortunately might I add) charged with maximising the commercial value of our game, NOT making it competitive and fair. This is fact, it is not a secret or some sort of establishment cover up. The powers that be have neither the competence nor the innovation to determine an approach to maximise commercial value other than to have the OF two horse race back. Again, this is not a conspiracy, this is incompetence and laziness.
  13. It's not a conspiracy though is it? While I'm very much against a lot of how Scottish football operates it is simply individuals whos job description is to maximise revenues and to do that they are pushing the short term view of having the OF back. Lazy? yes. Incompetent? undoubtedly. Conspiracy? obviously not
  14. Probably the most engaging debates I read on this website are two people arguing over which one is "seething"
  15. While the headline is good news, cashflow is what you should be looking at with RFC. Profit/loss in an accounting sense can sometimes be a misleading measure
  16. While some of the stuff said about Ward is possibly OTT given the length of time he was at the club I think you might be doing him down a bit. It was almost immediately obvious Skiendja (spelling...?) aside, that we had a right good keeper on our books. I can't think of one game where he didn't make a brilliant save at a crucial point (actually maybe Killie away...) to either keep us in the game, or keep us in front etc. Add to that his command of the area, his communication, his distribution he wasn't just considerably better than Langfield et al, he was light years ahead, you could just tell. Personal opinion but I do believe 1. he is better than Bain and 2. he will end up playing at a very high level if not Liverpool then premier league football regularly somewhere.
  17. Blatantly swept under the rug that any sort of 'reputation' comes from European countries who somehow enjoy the novelty of pissed up idiots and have no conception of what they are actually like. Within their own domestic country they have no reputation whatsoever and they know it. They just won't admit it.
  18. I don't think Brown is awful however....I do believe last season he was supported by a settled back 4 that were performing fantastically week in week out. I don't believe our back 4 this season is performing nearly as consistently and are making much more mistakes than last season when Brown amassed those clean sheets.
