OK ! Approach a proven manager that is available with a track record with a brief to sort out the club from top to bottom.
For example somebody like Neil Lennon won't be cheap but it would be a different direction and he would certainly put a rocket up the arses of the squad and the directors..
As I have posted we are Deja Vu at the moment and doing the same old thing again with whoever we select is most likely going to produce the same result.
Not terrible idea in concept but what a honking example - Lennon clearly had a bit of a tough time and whilst people deserve support in a time of need I don’t think that example is good idea at all on anyone’s part.

I feel quite sorry for Gary Holt. After a career spent winning the Scottish Cup and playing at the top level of Scottish and English football to suddenly find yourself trying to drag a wee club like Falkirk up to some sort of professional standard must be tough, especially with an unloving group of supporters who won’t give you a chance.
Please show pitty on him and offer him an easier gig elsewhere.

Yes. Never Underestimate the Navy Blue Pound

There is no two ways about it now. Sheerin and Holt simply have to go.

Reading the couple of pages folk demanding change and wont be back till there is an overhaul/radical change the minute we get a bit of positive news regarding patrons investing in the club and a couple of supporters on the board, old guard stepping down etc they now want more clarity of where the investment is going, who are these patrons why are they investing and start going on about another agenda you really couldnt make this sh*t up.
want change and the minute you get it start looking for another agenda and comparing it to what they didnt want/have in the first place.
Just Falkirk fans being typical Falkirk fans. You had people venting their spleen when we were flying in the premier and look at us now.
we don’t need to make this shit up at all. There is a slice of support who just like to main and be negative - even without reason.
Just waiting for some conspiracy theory about the patrons being cahoots with the FSS to Rob the shares from the fans and sell it to the Rawlins to build a drive through cinema. Fucking stupid but wouldn’t surprise me if some rocket hit out with this next.

Holt surely has to go first. He's the one constant that is still stinking the place out. How much involvement does he have with the first team? Could the mood and work ethic be improved without him sticking his neb in at every opportunity?

Forgive me for being dense, but I get lost with all these "supporter" groups. Can someone explain to me who these guys are and what they want -
Bairnstrust
Falkirk Supporters Society
The Navy Blue
Equity Bairns
The Bairns Front of Judea
Bairns For Life
The Crunchie Initiative
Bairnstrust is now Falkirk Supporters Society
crunchie initiative has now done what it wanted (I think) but included some guys who were part of navy blue I think (BPM can clarify I am sure)
Dunno what equity Bairns is tbh.
bairns for life - is this not the ‘January signing’ fund initiative?

Changes won’t come overnight, simply because we need a shift in culture as well as a shift in personnel. People who are in it for what they can give rather than what they can get out of it.
We have a club that hasn’t apologised for as long as I can remember. A club that will go to great lengths to deny culpability for just about anything. For me, a bit of truth and reconciliation would be welcome. It would be a really good move for the new people to make.
And it ain’t hard to be honest about things. The incumbent board had the perfect chance to wipe the slate clean but instead adopted the MSG mantra of ‘it wusnae us, it’s the fans fault’
Hopefully a corner turned with some people who actually know how to run a business now getting involved. Fingers crossed anyway.

Ruth could score 30 goals this season on we would still have some fans wanting Keena to start.
He’s one of those players that the longer he goes without playing or scoring regularly, the better he becomes in some people’s heads.
Think the issue is that when Ruth was first in he was fairly rank. He’s slowly got a wee bit better, but the start I think folk were quite right to be questioning why Keena wasn’t getting a sniff. It’s clear Sheerin prefers Ruth his blue eyed boy. But I think a lot of fans will change their moans on this if Ruth keeps progressing - we are fickle after all.

Surely must be called soon. We really need any board changes sorted by the end of the year so we can do something in the January window.
Our esteemed ‘Director of Football’ is surely all thats needed to make more horrendous signings in January?

Literally the last thing on earth that Falkirk Football Club have time for this season is another Head Coach who's "learning". We need to be out of this division in May. So far, there's precious, precious little evidence that the current incumbent is capable of achieving that.
I’d give him till Christmas, but bin Holt immediately....we’ll see what unfolds.

I'd rather him and Sheerin both went tbh. Holt isn't going to coach the product on the park to three points that's on Sheerin. Ultimately if we can't win games of football consistently he's just us culpable.
We know from last seasons collapse that Holt is actually completely incapable of coaching the team, or doing tactics, taking the hot seat whatever.
Sheerin I think even said himself he’s learning. Holt wouldn’t admit being wrong in any way - arrogant p***k. Proved as much at the Q and A.

There’s a saying: “Those that can “do”, those that can’t, teach".
That is Sheerin to a “T”, he couldn’t manage so he became a teacher, a coach.
He had moderate managerial success up at Arbroath and then decided that he wasn’t up to it so took a “no pressure” coaching job at Aberdeen. He was perfectly happy there, toodling along, coaching the laddies and then suddenly his meal ticket of Derek McInnes was gone. Stephen Glass obviously didn’t fancy him and wanted to bring in his own backroom team so Sheerin had to find something else, anything else, pronto. Inverness knocked him back and we got their sloppy seconds.
He doesn’t want to be a manager at all and after our recent run of results and performances, exacerbated further by his disastrous contribution of “eh, I wish I had the answer to that in all honesty” at the Q&A, he would now rather be anywhere else but TFS.
We should do the kind thing, put him out of his misery, and let him go.
Would rather get Holt out and put someone with experience in that role. He’s the issue we need to resolve immediately.

If anyone is looking to save on our enormous wage bill that could choke a horse then I’d imagine only one name consistently being on majority of fans hit lists.

What Is the end game here, a lot of blood letting and fan dick swinging going on and that's really it....
Apparently you have a wage bill that could choke a horse especially for this league, starting and running a youth academy with little or no rewards in short to medium term at least...
Have all the money men jumped ship with nobody stepping into the breech,
Like a few clubs in skid row, like my own club where we are stuck in a 90s bubble, Falkirk are really similar except there glory days were slightly later... We are getting overtaken by Cove, Queens Park and a rapidly rising Kelty Hearts....
This season could be win or bust really for a few clubs,
Not really, and tbh it’s not like their money is in a listed stock, there’s no short route of ‘selling up’ - you need a buyer And approval. Of course that depends on the intent, the ‘money men’ As you put it might be happy to sit back and hope their investment grows / not care to deeply in the event it’s written off.
The AGM is bound to be due soon, and in the interim there is enough time to steady things.
if only we could get some unity at this time it could actually be the end of long period of discontent with things and give fans a real voice and piece of job of running the club.

Just finished re- reading Michael White’s Vol. 4 from 1994 to 2007 and what a treasure trove of information it contains.
From Jefferies, Lambie, Collins, Bannon, Totten, McCall, Coyle and Hughes., it chronicles all the ups and downs during that spell and, boy, there were plenty.
Will need to look out some of the earlier ones.
Has there been a more recent one?
Sounds like a great timeframe tbh, will check this out for sure. Is it till end of Hughes as solo manager or the promotion that never was when Coyle left?

Who was it who brought in Leahy and Vaulks? Houston? I know he was berated towards the end of his spell but maybe he could come in on a Ragnick type deal till end of season with a view to moving upstairs?
