  1. A mixed message from NS on STV news there. She said to travel 5 mile max for leisure, but she could travel from Glasgow to Ayrshire to visit her parents. What’s the difference between travelling 30 miles for food shopping and a walk, that travelling 30 miles to sit in your families garden and then nipping to Asda for a pee?
  2. That’s ringing a bell actually. tbh I’d rather face up to a panther than 89% of Drongan’s pooulation
  3. It’s always Ayrshire! Last year I’m sure the news for a few hours was all about a panther being spotted in Drongan. It turned out to be a hoax and the guy used a stuffed toy. Zoomers
  4. I’d a wear one if I had to if it meant getting back to Somerset!
  5. I hope so! I really don’t understand why so many people are being doom and gloom, they seem to want the 2 metre rule, no enjoyable things etc until a vaccine is found, which could be never. 1 metre would greatly help football clubs to have their full quota of fans (well aside from the OF, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee U). I genuinely feel there’s people on this thread who don’t want football or normality back until 1st Jan 2021 at the earliest
  6. Thanks bud. I do push thoughts and feelings deep inside, but more and more they’re becoming so much to contend with and they’re rising and I’m breaking down in tears. I think it was because my Dad passed away unexpectedly. It was a shock and it’s been hard to get my head around. I went from seeing him every day to now not seeing him at all and it kills me. Im glad to hear you got back to a good place after splitting with your ex. I hope that day comes for me, and soon! I know it’s unfair to make comparisons between my life and hers, but it’s so hard not to. She’s happily loved up, and my life has went to shit since the break up. Just seems unfair that good things are happening to such a bitch
  7. I thought I’d post here to vent seeing as it’s late and as usual I can’t get to sleep. So many thoughts running through my head. I’ve been missing my old man a lot. Always when I’m trying to get to sleep the memories of his last day in hospital go over and over in my head. How I was there when he died. How my mum and I knew he was going to die but we didn’t tell him. I watched a programme about the FA Cups top 50 moments the other night and I cried because I know he’d have loved watching it. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with football now since he passed away. Earlier on my neighbour and I were chatting out the back and she mentioned my ex and her new guy/fiancé. Just fcks me up to know less than 10 months ago we were “loved up”, and now she’s engaged to someone new and I’m a piece of shit to her. I really wish I had my work to help distract my dark thoughts a bit.
  8. The likes of the BBC/ITV were quite “happy” to show images from Italy as their headline when the number of deaths there was so high, same with their reporting of Spain’s high numbers. Yet they're strangely quiet now the numbers have decreased dramatically.
  9. I believe the 2 metre rule will be relaxed to 1 metre by the time August comes around. They’ve already said the risk of infection decreases significantly outdoors. They will probably not allow away fans at games for a good few months and possibly reduce the capacities at Ibrox/Parkhead by at least half. I wouldn’t be concerned with 1700 at Somerset tbh, but it’s the Government and football authorities that will decide that
  10. Tbh unless we stayed in lockdown forever, there is always a risk of a second wave. I’m sure @Todd_is_God posted something a few days back about countries already 3 or 4 weeks out of lockdown and there being no great “second wave”
  11. You’re going to need to accept the fact that folk will be less than 2 metres from you. Just like the folk in supermarkets who reach up to a shelf whilst you’re standing there. Unless you (&them) are a absolute fatty it’s easy enough to let folk pass you in the rows of the main stand without them touching you. If that doesn’t suffice people can either stay at home, or deck themselves in bubble wrap
  12. Was this on April 1st by any chance? Those turnstiles wont have been cleaned since the Spanish Flu of 1918 so a little bit of coronavirus will be fine. Accurate! As long as that hand sanitizer isn't in a bottle, as that would be a criminal offence. Aye, alcohol in a bottle right enough
  13. The “worry” of touching a turnstile can be erased by carrying a hand sanitiser with you. It’s no different to going to the small local shop and touching a basket that the staff haven’t wiped in between uses. Folk still go to shops and touch items and then put them back on the shelf. You also walk in close proximity to people in shops or when joggers run past when out a walk (in my case).
  14. It’s strange there’s been no mention of the Rangers v Leverkusen game that week as well. Did this cause a “spike” around Glasgow/Inverclyde area
  15. I’m so bored of this Cummings situation. I’ve skipped through 30 odd pages of this thread. Yes he’s an idiot, yes he should be sacked. I’m more concerned we allowed so many potentially infected people off flights and into the country without checks though.
  16. I appreciate that. It means a lot to know an internet stranger cares. Thanks again
  17. Fck, reading that made me emotional. Thanks
  18. Yeah I can see how that would be beneficial to a lot of people. Just sucks for people like me with depression and now no job to get up for in the morning. I’ve tried setting alarms etc but I’ve not woken up before midday for weeks now. I hope so but with each passing week it’s seeming more and more unlikely. 2020 is effectively cancelled. Just don’t know how long I can go on for tbh. I’m tired of living
  19. I was re-reading the Scottish lockdown exit strategies again. “mass gatherings” to be permitted in the Autumn. Yet your man Raman is saying no crowds at football until Feb 2021.
  20. The mask thing I was thinking about the other day. The shop would make a few quid selling masks with the badge on it, and I’m sure we’d all wear them if it meant being able to go to games again
  21. I’d like to think that folk would sacrifice their half time pie and cuppa if it meant they were able to see the game in person. As for the turnstile/toilet thing, I’d imagine the onus would be on punters to hand sanitise with their wee gel bottles before and after going through the turnstiles and after they’d been to the toilet (yes changing the habit of a lifetime for 70% of fans)
  22. A nadir of the Bundesliga return just happened there. Lewis fcking Capaldi played over the PA system before the second half of the Bayern game
  23. That’s how I feel about as well. I can’t see folk paying £15 a week to watch it on a potentially poor stream with no atmosphere. It definitely won’t make as much for clubs as ticket sales/Matchday revenue does. Not by a long shot
  24. Sorry to hear that. As others have said phone in sick and have a few days to yourself to recharge or go out walking I feel the weather is nice. In my last job I worked with two faced bitches and it really got me down for the last few months I was there. I felt like ending things was the only way out. With help from my now ex, I was able to find a new job that I love and I felt happier at work than I’d felt for about 8 years! Lockdown certainly isn’t helping anyone and especially those of us who struggle with mental health at the best of times. I miss my work so much and tbh I don’t think I’ll be back working again this year (I’m in the events industry). I also struggle with regrets and heartache about my last relationship ending. I lost my Dad in Feb. Just seems like one thing after another and there’s been so many times in the last few months I’ve wanted to fall asleep and never wake up. Please know you’re not alone in how you feel. There’s good guys on this thread who always listen and offer support. Know you’re not alone and we’re here to listen to you
